@@CaesarionCaesar it’s like it doesn’t even feel the tasks being done haha ! I’ve been photo editing and it’s been running fast even in exporting. I’m going to try HDR photos next !!
Thanks for the confidence! I saw one in store today, and id made up my mind on the 14 initially but after seeing the 16 screen and watching your timely video, im thinking 16 is the way to go!
i’ve been watching countless videos about the m4 chips, cause i’m planning on buying one next month or on February 2025. Your making me choose the 16inch more than the 14inch at this point haha
Its much more macbook for the buck. Was hesitating too, but I traveled with it and its like taking your desktop everywhere. Best decision after years with 14".
Great Idea to record in your car, Refreshing. Would you say this is great for semi-heavy video editing? Davanci with lots of plugins , how does it handle audio plugins doesn't it stutter"?
The 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 Pro is great for video editing and handles audio plugins smoothly-no stuttering. Although , it wouldn’t hurt if you got a little more ram just in case but I think you should be good !
Your RAM story is interesting. I have the M4 16" and I did a stress test where I had a video 4K video edit going in FCP with a bunch of effects piled on, a multi layer edit of a 45 MP picture in On1 Photo Raw (which is a RAM hog), Safari open with 20 tabs open, a 4K video playing in Apple TV, Music playing in the Music app and a bunch of my regular day job things open like Mail, Calendar, PDF Expert, Notes, Numbers, Finder. The M4 Pro 16" (24 GB) got to 60% memory pressure with a couple of gigs of swap and the lowest I ever saw the ram drop to was 5 GB. No freeze ups and everything running as smooth as butter. I wonder if it's a software optimization issue you're experiencing. That can happen with newer chips. Software might not have caught up yet.
@@langeldonao Oh, and I agree with you, this is my 3rd M chip and by far my favorite. Had the a 16", tried a 14" for a year and now back to the 16". Missed that big beautiful screen! You enjoy!
I just got one yesterday, it's like a diesel engine, it just doesn't quit.

Watching this on my black 16 inch Macbook. Upgraded from a 14 inch M1. Loved this machine, but this is the ultimate machine.
