Do you really need the silicon for the front camera? I just did a repair screen and just put it in there since the glue stayed stuck to the old frame. It seem like the top speaker keep it in place pretty well at least it appears so. Curious on ur thoughts. thanks

Excellent tutorial, if you follow it exactlyou'lline fine. The only thing I recommend differently is to connect the bottom of the trackpad cable before putting the battery, for me, it was easy that way, also seems like a pretty delicate flex, so I preferred to connect it with some free room, then the battery goes under without issues. Kudos!

Wanted to say thank you for the instructions and help. Followed it down to the T and works awesome. Also, I didn't have shadows or any issues with my new display. I purchased my display on ebay used and didn't have no problems since the swap

If the isopropyl alcohol leaks to the screen, it can damage the display coat. Better approach would be using plastic film to protect the display before applying isopropyl alcohol.

Did not need to remove motherboard to replace battery. Now keyboard not working...

Curious, is it only the data-cable connected from the daughterboard to the motherboard? where does actual power supply pass through ? thought about it when I've received a faulty battery-kit now, where the Flat-Cable latch - is broken (at closed state), I've ordered a different one, but 1. any ideas of what can be done in such cases? secure the cable with Silicon?! 2. where does power pass through?

hello. so my screen haas been acting up, at first i thought the whole screen was damaged, but from time to time it recovers and looks just like normal, can i replace just the cable or does the whole display have to be changed? I have an M1 2020 with touchbar. Any help would be great, thanks. akso the touchbar seems to be broken, i dont really know tbh, cuz it lights up and everything but somethime you can see the icon, if i touch it does whats supposed to do. I have a 13in Microsoft surface laptop 3 not powering on. I need to buy the single cable that attaches to the keyboard and laptop since it disconnected and was unable to connect (I can’t afford the whole keyboard at the moment) would that be an issue for it not turning on even with the charger connected the charger light doesn’t respond to it charging it. (The keyboard cable is detached) Would I need more that the keyboard to laptop cable connector or a battery also?
