I watched thousands of these type of videos and finally someone that at least doesn't babble on and on and on but isn't the type that just start pulling things apart without explaining what is being done I have to give this man an A+ .... The way you explain and overall way of operation is very informative and puts the person that's trying to do what you are telling them to do at ease and made it very easy to follow. I usually just hit the thumbs up and move on but this compelled me to sub great job!!!

I went to Apple. They were going to charge me $800 to repair a 2019 MacBook Pro. I decided to get a new MacBook instead, and then I chanced upon your video. I started watching your video, and by midway, I placed an order for a screen replacement. It arrived today, and it was smooth and easy to repair. I couldn't believe myself. I cannot thank you enough for helping me save over $400. Thank you, and thank you again...

The connector you identified as the touch-bar is actually the open close detector for opening the display. I had to reuse mine as my display didn’t come with it. It is a single screw and is passively magnetically coupled to the hinge. So there is no other wiring to make. Great video my Mac is 100% functional now.

Great guide, only recommendation I would have for a more concise video is explaining what size driver you are using for each screw. The 8 screws that are extremely small for the Wi-Fi antenna is the same as a pentalobe driver, or a T3. Things like that help so much when the commentator explains that. Other than that, great video.

Great guide, I was able to successfully repair my first 16" macbook screen with your guidance, I just have a little bit of feedback. That cable you're referring to at 9:50 is not the TouchID cable. That is for the hall effect sensor for the screen. It's super easy to unscrew and transfer, but VITAL that it's not damaged in the process. This sensor is programmed to each specific machine, so if it is damaged, it will cause all sorts of issues. I do believe an independent repair tech was able to get around apple's proprietary programming in case it needs to be replaced. ruclips.net/video/Lxo6l_whDeE/видео.html

For the common man, NEVER fix a MacBook yourself. My original screen cracked (because they are too thin). First replacement screen, same thing happened before I installed it. second replacement screen, I ripped one of the ribbon cables and stripped 4 of the screws. So that's 3 wrecked screens and a wrecked laptop. The screws are ridiculously small. I will never buy another Mac, never buy an Apple for that matter either. Sure I made mistakes, but Macs are garbage.

Agreed! It’s not worth the trouble! My screws were already stripped and it messed up my whole computer!

Over-engineered crap. Takes one screw driver to tear apart and rebuild a PC laptop. These pieces of crap require an entire tool set, everything on them is fragile and tedious to work on.

Thank you so much. I am following along, but can't find a pentalobe fit for the 'motherboard cable screws.' I am using an amazon pentalobe kit, but maybe am missing that one. What number/size did you use? Of if anyone in here knows...
