Do you have to charge the schumacher battery charger itself before you use it to charge your car battery? And why is it connected to that yellow thing on the ground? Can you explain what that yellow boxish thing is and what role it plays in this whole process?

To Gain the best results possible, I recommend you to plug the Schumacher battery charger/Maintainer into a Outlet my friend. The Schumacher does not hold a charge. What you would do is plug it into an outlet in your house or Apartment and make sure to use a Extension cord if it does not reach out to the vehicle, then hook the Alligator clamps to the vehicle's battery & Press start on the Schumacher then it will begin to charge and maintain your Vehicle's battery. When it's charged it will display fully charged. The Yellow thing you are trying to better understand is a everstart maxx jump starter. It is a portable battery jump starter to help you jump your vehicle when you are in a emergency situation that requires you to need a jump start when your battery life is drained.

Im currently waiting for mine to charge. I’m not sure if my battery is dead or not but I was given this charger when I moved out by myself about a year ago so im gonna see if this helps.
I had it plugged in for about 20 minutes and I was able to get my 2017 Jeep Patriot to start with and without the charger attached. This video helped but I will be looking into the issue more when I am able to
I need an explanation in Spanish of how the battery works, I press start and it does not turn on, I connect to an electrical outlet and the charging light comes on, I disconnect and the battery does not turn on when I put start, could you explain why that happens?

What if my battery is in my front hood, would i need to take out the battery from the car/hood?

If your battery is located under the Hood/Bonnet you will repeat the same process in the video that I demonstrated, it applies for all vehicle Batteries. And the Schumacher will charge & maintain the car battery, this should fully charge the vehicle battery. Also my friend make sure the cable Clamps are positioned correctly on the terminals. I also wanted to mention, You do not have to remove the vehicle battery from the vehicle to charge/Maintain the battery. Run an extention cord to the vehicle. You can leave the Schumacher under the Hood/Bonnet, it will not Harm anything. Godbless you

I bought one brand new and i charged it for the whole day i connected it to my car battery and it was not working… should it not start instantly? It was 40$ so i assume it takes a long time to charge the battery

The Schumacher Fully Automatic Rapid Charger will charge & maintain your Vehicle's battery very well my friend. You have to make sure the Alligator clips are on the Terminals Correctly. You want to keep it connected for 15 hours [overnight]. And the LED light indicators near the start/stop function, will show you that your battery is charged/Maintaining when your battery is fully charged. Now If it is slowly losing power with electronic problems, trouble staring the car and other signs of battery failure, then it may need to be replaced because a recharge might not last that long or your car battery can not be Revived with a Battery charger/Maintainer. If it is just completely dead it's no fault of your own, but it definitely should be replaced. A recharge may only be a very temporarily solution in this case. I hope this information helps you.
