    Great to have 924 content again and SOOO GOOD to see not everything always have to be replaced with brand new parts ❤❤
    A lot of this is overmystified and everyone always expect a full everything new, everything machined rebuild. Even when there is no need! This motor will be just fine. (I hope 😅)

      @@devisionhun Thank you! Yeah, I try to restore as much as possible. Replacing everyting is not in the budged anyway.

    Hi bro.
    I'm glad to start working on 924 restoration again.
    My 924 is also running thanks to the progress of the ITB and ME221 ECU work, and the body work is also progressing a lot.
    I'm going to have to rebuild my engine someday, and your videos will be a great help.

    thanks for making this type of video ! it helps a lot ! was the 924 running at the beginning of this project?

      Glad to hear. It would fire up and stall immediately.... it was sitting for a long time. it was definitely a fuel issue, engine had good compression.

    Nice! Did you measure cylinder head flatness over the surface, every 924 block i measured has sunken quite a bit aorund the water port close to cylinder 4, it doesn't look like the surface was machined.

      Thanks! The head is warped a bit, but block seems ok, I'll double check.

      Thanks! Please send me a message on Instagram and I'll give you the details there. There are multiple numbers but I'll give you a contact from a guy I bought them from.

    Really nice job. Did you have to hone the bores?

    What a cracking video, are you self-taught?
    I assume the red lubricant is a kind of pre-assembly oil? Also how come you didnt blast the oil sump and chose to scrub it for a long time instead?

    • @RestorationApprentice
      @RestorationApprentice  28 дней назад +1

      Thanks, I am. Yeah, it's a standard assembly lube. It's very hard to blast parts with this thick oil layer on it.
