Work continues on my 1985 Porsche 924 NA. This is part 22 in my full series.
While I wait for some engine parts to arrive I decided to get this intake manifold and throttle body restored so it's ready to be put back on the engine once that's finished.

I couldn't get the jetronic injection to function properly on my car, so I simply removed my throttle body and replaced It with a homemade intake manifold running to an SU carburetor

I'm tempted to put Weber on mine as I love the look of them but I really want to make my K-jet system work first.

nice work! Have you thought about vapor blasting for refinishing aluminum components? Makes for a beautiful finish

Thanks! Yeah, that would be a dream for all aluminium parts. But those are expensive. maybe on a onother project in the future. That and a powder coating setup.

That throttle body seems to have a ridiculous amount of small parts… but maybe pretty standard for one with dual butterfly valves.

I guess so, I've never worked on any other throttle body before though.
