I bought the Brigadier just because I love that truck in real life with the 2 stroke Detroit Diesel. I have noticed it does really well over rocks due to the tuned custom suspension.
I've personally had some of the best results with the International HX520. If it could use a raised suspension upgrade, I think it would be one of the best trucks. It's pretty quick and can turn really well and it's just a sweet looking truck.
It can be useful I got stuck against a log in the mud last night dropped the axle and it lifted up the front end end to get over the log and if you are on bumpy terrain it can remove some of the bounce
I dont have much in game money so I was going to sell one of the free ones... after reading the comments and watching the video, I left with the same doubt lol
I guess I should give the HX another try. Everytime I tried, it felt like a piece of scrap metal, even the water current washed it away. Amd I tried other vanilla trucks on the same route, and they mostly did better and consumed less fuel because of the less struggle

The CAT gets an exclusive 8 series engine that outperforms the best engine of the other 2, without that engine it would of been dragged to 3rd by it's dead axle.
The new Cat is one of the worst vehicles in the game. In mud its pretty dire, and whilst very fast it gets stuck everywhere due to the unpowered wheel. The 114 sd, whilst underpowered, is a much better bet.
Why would anyone care for these trucks? When you have the likes of tayga, bandit and even azov 6?!? What use do these lower level trucks have when you need them the most, in nasty mud and swamp and snow, they just die And in hard more is quite important to manage your funds and pick the best trucks for the job

Is not be handicapped by using low performance trucks, but being able to drive through tricky areas where others don't know how to navigate, (because less skilled) Wasting time in a easy zone by choosing a worse performing truck is, as said, wasting time. Oh, if the game was better thought out, with intelligent RPG elements, then yes, i'd agree with you. As an example of RPG elements. Like the game Skyrim, where by using the same equipment over and over, successfully completing tasks (aka killing enemies with the same weapon) you gain experience and level up and have access to make that equipment better. Or things are easier. In our case, lets say you start off with the Fleetstar and don't want to use other trucks. You love this truck. Sadly it's limited, can only do so much. But because you've played on hard more and did missions upon missions and reached difficult to reach goals and tasks, you may unlock better wheels, tires, addons, engines...which makes the truck better for use in even worse conditions. And this is a testament to your skill, that you did something really amazing with a low performing truck, the same way one red star would be applied to the trucks in Mudrunner for doing the map with just 1 star vehicles. Now that would be worth using low performing trucks, not at the moment where it gives nothing fun. Challenge is not crippling yourself, challenge is figuring out very difficult things for the best trucks to achieve.
@@roberts.wilson1848 Then if that's the case and everyone thought like that there would be no point in having trucks that aren't Russian at all. I play this game the same way I played Mud Runner. I use western trucks on western maps and Eastern trucks on the eastern maps. I haven't missed out on anything and I haven't crippled myself or "wasted" time at all. I used the azov on Michigan and Alaska and just driving through everything with almost no struggle was boring as fuk to me. Not everyone wants to use the most overpowered equipment and you don't have to use the most overpowered trucks to challenge yourself.
@@roberts.wilson1848 I just wanna say as well that yes, yoi can challenge yourself by putting yourself at a handicap. That is one of the most common ways people challenge themselves. Not just in this game but in all facets of life. That's why people like the "under performing" trucks. Also because they are badass in their own ways.

Cat 681 is really good in Alaska.
The CAT CT681 and the ITNL Paystar 5600TS are my two favorite all around haulers.

What made saber interactive think we wanted another truck with lift axles they cause more problems than they solve

The international is solid with the big crane. Got shortened exhaust for that, too.

The CT 681 is a beast, one of the best all round trucks i have used so far.
The hx 520 is a really good crane truck
