    This was so eloquently explained! I’ve been trying to figure this method out for days. I feel like a pro now after watching this. I'm so excited to have cleaner cased elastics now! :D

    LOVE this tutorial! I love your diapers too! I am starting TODAY to learn how to sew my own CD and so I appreciate the hard efforts to make this kind of video. I hadn't even though of sewn in elastic vs. casing the elastic, casing seems like it is really worth the effort!

    I'm definitely going to try out this method. I do ok on the old fashion way, but this looks much cleaner. Thank you for the tutorial! :)

    Haha, I was really curious about your new method, only to find that it is exactly what I have been doing all along. :p The only difference is that I don't turn the diaper inside out again to tack down the elastic. I am now going to try and find out what the 'normal' way is of doing this!

    This is so helpful. Thank you. I just got the totally squared pattern and going to try it. Haven't done pockets yet. Do you make a welt pocket? I am very confused on how to do that. Would love a full tutorial on you making the whole diaper.

    I love to sew but I'm a complete beginner, my son is a allergic to disposable diapers so we had to start cloth which has been WONDERFUL but they are a bit expensive starting out (for us anyways) so I bought all the stuff and started. Sewing elastic has been my problem and I wasted fabric and elastic and my needle snapped. All the tutorials I've watched sew straight down the elastic and they make it look so easy but it's not. 😤 😂 Thank you. Now I just have to keep my stitches straight.

    I am completely new to cloth diapering and I am getting ready to sew my first batch, your video is pretty interesting tip wise. my question is what is the square of material with your snaps casings? I have never seen anything like that before

    • @incnerdette
      @incnerdette 8 лет назад

      From other videos, those are squares of PUL fabric to help reinforce the snaps :) Hope that helps!

    THANK YOU!!! loved the video. I am making a size one diaper and the elastic is stiff and will not move. I will try to do in this way and add a stronger elastic. I to have replaced tons of elastic after 3 children. I use a safety pin fastened to the end of my elastic and push the safety pin though the casing. It work well if anyone dose not have a Bodkin( I hope that's right word for it).

      Hi Jason - it's called a bodkin. There are a couple different types, both of which can be picked up at your local sew or craft shop.

    Tudah Rbah (thank you very much). SHLM UHaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah asher Hayah, as what He told Mose (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, Righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. He is the ONLY way to Everlasting Life. He is the Atoning Offering for mankind, for the remission of sin (1 John 2:1-2).
