If you have ever wondered how to make your own cloth diapers, I hope this video is a help to you! I've tried all different types of diapers and these really are the best (most absorbent) and easiest to look after.
Just so completely grateful to have found you diaper/wool videos! Thank you so much for sharing these well made/clever pieces and making such informative, clear videos. 🎉
@@Rebecca.Robbins lets hope so. She already has two so it's iffy. She's my only child due to cancer, I wanted more. Her first is pretty hyper so a third will be iffy.🤗
Thanks for sharing the measurements of your preflat pattern! I’m wondering what the advantage is of not serging the two layers together? Easier construction and drying? More potential folding configurations?
It’s easier / faster drying. You just need to grab the bottom corners and it’s folded perfectly together. It also gives you a few more folding options, but the real reason I designed them this way is for ease of drying.
I can’t see why not! You can always make them bigger if needed! If you haven’t seen my video on making wool diaper covers, you should check that one out as well.
Typically with the preflats you won’t need an insert. With the flats, I would use off cuts as inserts as needed. You can surge the edges, but you don’t even need to. It really depends on your baby and how often you change diapers though when and how many you will need.
Yes! The preflats can be a bit much for newborns, but are do-able. The flats are awesome for all ages but as your baby becomes a toddler they will likely need an insert to help them absorb more.
@@Rebecca.Robbins haha ok, so the extra fabric on the side of the preflat that you just made, is that just made into another preflat or is it too short I was trying to figure that out too.

I’m totally inspired! You’ve made this so easy and doable. Thanks for the link to the fabric (colors look awesome, too!)
Oh I really hope you do make some!!! The colours are awesome, I agree! I would love to hear back if you do make some.
@@Rebecca.Robbins I will definitely give an update! Ordered some from your suggested seller.
@@rebekahnance1804 I'm so happy to hear that!!! I can't wait to hear back from you!

You're so welcome!
Love it, you are a great!!!
Thank you so much!
wonderful video. subbed and liked ! a fellow creator
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that!
New to the rip method how do you make sure your rip is accurate with the measurements? Mine definitely are not thank you for all your videos!
The rip will travel along the grain of the fabric, so as long as your lines are strait to the grain, you will be okay.
Omg this is awesome thank you!!
I'm glad you like it
Imádom! Fantasztikus!
Thank you!
Which fabrics did you test from Kinderel? I've been so curious about the best fabrics as well! Thanks so much for this video!
I linked to the exact fabric in the description of the video!
@@Rebecca.Robbins Yes, but you didn't mention what other fabrics you compared it to
Thankyou
You’re welcome 😊 It’s my pleasure! ❤️
I have a 75lb special needs toddler. Would this work for the bigger kiddos too? I'm having trouble finding diapers in his size

So is this the complete diaper, or do I still need to add inserts? If so, what and how please

Are both the prefold and the flat sizes good for infant to potty training?
Yes! The preflats can be a bit much for newborns, but are do-able. The flats are awesome for all ages but as your baby becomes a toddler they will likely need an insert to help them absorb more.
I just wish that I had time!
There is something really enjoyable about using cloth diapers. I love folding them,
I’m looking into buying a bolt and I was wondering how many pre-flats you get out of the 10 yd bolt?
Shoot! I’m not too sure! I keep making pants etc with the fabric. I did have it figured out at one point, but now I can’t remember. Sorry.

what dimensions do you use to make a newborn preflat? and where would you put the dot for your design template and cuts on a newborn sized one? thanks
I use the same size for all ages. You just need to be a little more creative in your gliding with a newborn. ❤
