    Thanks for this video sew-along! It's so helpful to see how it goes together when you're not using a serger or even a fancy sewing machine. Gonna go felt up a thrifted sweater! :)

      Enjoy!!! I just love making them!!! I even found a PERFECT blanket at my moms house that I’m planning to use for diaper covers for my next grandbaby!

    I'm a quilter/seamstress and I think you did lovely. You're more skilled than you think. If you want to get better at sewing watch sewing videos on RUclips that's how I learned. Thanks for this video, I'm going to the thrift store soon and going to pick out some handsome sweaters. I'm pregnant with my first, planning to cloth diaper

      Congratulations and thank you! I’m so happy to hear that you will be cloth diapering! Did you happen to see my diaper video as well? ruclips.net/video/3vyRi7nUBGE/видео.html

    Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial. I also love your easy going approach. I’m new to sewing and you inspired me. Thank you 🤍

      Thank you so much! I’m pretty new to sewing as well. I probably mentioned that in the video. Baby / little kid stuff is nice and non intimidating! If you mess up a little, they don’t care or notice! ❤️

    I saved her wool cover pattern years ago, but never tried it - this video has given me the encouragement I needed! Love how honest you are (that you were afraid to see but did it anyways). Easy to follow, great video!

    Thank you for putting this video out! We want to cloth diaper our boys but, we're intimidated by the upfront cost. I sew and could definitely do this! ❤️

      That’s fantastic! If you haven’t already watched this video, take a look at it as well! Cloth diapering is easier than you might think! I include a link in the description to what I think is the best fabric to use! ruclips.net/video/3vyRi7nUBGE/видео.html

    I love the idea of upcycling old 2nd hand sweaters! currently I'm using disanas knitted pants on my baby and i really like it a lot, even tho it took quite a few lanolizings (is that even a real word?) before it felt cured enough. Over in Scandinavia we have the manymonth pants to that I've tried but my baby is right now in a short and very chubby size so once she outgrows the disansa pants ill probably have to sew something more form fitted for her, this pattern will probably be quite right for us. Thank you for the tutorial and the idea of up cycling sweaters as well as modifying leg sizes

    Do you think it would work to just double up a thinner wool to make this cover? Or would that not work? I'm going to give making these a try I'm just worried that some of the wool I have would be too thin.

    • @Rebecca.Robbins
      @Rebecca.Robbins  Год назад

      I’m not sure. You can try washing and drying your wool a couple of times to make it thicker, that might help. You should try it and see how it works out! Let me know if you do, I would love to hear how it turns out!

      I managed to make two. One of which I doubled the thinner sweater to make and both were successful!! Thank you for your video! I am hand stitching because I don’t have a sewing machine. But these have been a life saver for at night. We aren’t waking up wet anymore!

      Better selection, plus bigger sweaters! It's almost always the better place to look!
