Mick Scarsbrook (Mick Amca) takes you around Çalış market near Fethiye southwest Turkey, to compare the prices of clothing and other items, please leave a comment below
If ur income is in euro dollar or even pounds u will have a fantastic life in turkey. Even if the pound was 5 lira it is still good. Thank you Mick Amca for spending ur time and ur money in turkey. U have a good life in the same time u are helping turkish people .
Well done 👍 Mick great vid as usual also very informative thank you for that and funny 😂 at the same time love the humour in it it’s a nice touch 🧿 stay safe both of you kind regards Ahmed and Suky
Was in Calis on Saturday we always stay at the Sensatori/The Residence...been there 8 times but never visited Calis...how sad....also visited Fethiye market last Tuesday and we got some bargains after a little bit bartering ....l think i'll try a cheap winter week in Calis this year....came across a chap called Meti who owns the Golden Moon hotel so we'll give that a go...keep up the vlogs Mick we love them and we have also fallen in love with Calis
Wow!!! Thank you so much! Ran across your videos today and I'm really learning alot. My family and I just moved here and especially renting apartment is giving me major stress. Reading real estate law for turkey has helped some but I don't look forward to sitting down and going over contract. Your advice is to get a translator correct? For this and ikamet? Been hesitant because I have seen outrageous prices they ask. Again thanks. Will be watching all videos.
last June/July, I bought different 100% cotton Turkish towel & bath robe in Kas, Izmir & Pamukkali, depending on the design/thickness, the price range from 35Lira to 50Lira (i think) I remember in Pamukkali, in a market like this, off the tourist spots, I paid about $50 for 4 cotton bath robes. I ship my souvenir home, it arrive about 1 month later, it's almost like instant Christmas :) I absolutely love their towels, the thin types air dry in 2 hours, perfect for travel. I also use it as a shawl, blanket etc. Try to but souvenir outside Istanbul if you can, you will get a better price since the rents in Istanbul are much much higher, I got this tip from a Turkish girl whom I met in Rhodes.
Hello mike & Trudie, thank you for your amazing videos I am a Dutch citizen living in Abudhabi UAE, planning to retire in Turkey three years from now. Can you make a video about pets? pet food prices, vets prices, bringing your pets from foreign countries to Turkey, adopting pets, where are they allowed where they are not, etc? Haven't seen anyone walking a dog in any of your videos :) also, social life and dating for over 50 in Turkey? Gosh, I have so many questions, keep your lovely videos coming cheers!
Years ago me and my ex British husband bought a pair of jeans from Marmaris market and we wore them for years. They were very cheap, but very good quality and looked expensive on us.Everyone asked me where I bought my light blue jeans. It was my best kept secret!🤣
Thank you amca. It's amazing video with lovely people! I laugh lot when I watch you drinking the Ayrane! Milk on your nose and mustache milk for your wife!
😅 "Ne kadar bu?" "Good deal!" "NE KADAR, NE KADAR?" "Ne kadar bunlar?" "Cok ucuz!" "NE KADAR, NE KADAR?" Amca understand the turkish bazar behaviour very well. 1st rule on the bazar: never trust the promise "it's cheap!". Make him say the price! 💰😉
The prices are not bad as long as the whole family works. Yes a single min wage income will not be enough to look after a family. Also wanted to add that these prices are in the tourists areas. It's a lot cheaper prices in the normal neighborhoods.
Ne diye böyle bir açıklama yapıyorsun? Millete gönüllü istihbarat mı sunuyorsun? Elbet sen daha ucuza alacaksın. Sen İngiliz misin? O fiyata alsan nasıl geçinmeyi düşünüyorsun?
Mike the only thing’s could you tell them they should put price board for the wares, At least, you don’t need ask all the time, In other hand maybe is good tactical game for the selling
hi Mick loving your videos..its because of you we are visiting next week. Could you recommend good traditional Turkish barbers for getting the works at a reasonable price..cheers
Not been to Turkey for about 10 years but we did like to holiday there, do you still have to haggle in the shops and markets, or have they changed to a fixed price now? Cheers Alan
Anyone know were the market is and on what day? I also heard about the Sunday market, but I don't find the place. So if anyone knows the place and day for the different kinds of market in Fethiye and Calis please give a google map link. Thank you!
01:39 hahahdahhahahaha, this guy was very good at bargaining. Actually now, the cost of this speaker over 1000 Turkish lira in Turkey (on the internet).
Thats why all ways lm tellig everyone turks snd English very frendly people because our roots same turn dôn big buyuk year yil new yeni many words smiler
That Bluetooth speaker was expensive for the type is was. You could get a fairly decent one for that. The stuff like that on a market they don't last. The 1st price is always high too
I pay around 25 - 30 tl, for a T-shirt, 35 tl for a wallet, and the handbags around 100 tl. Dalaman & Ortaca markets are cheaper, because they have less rent to pay, and they aren't charging tourist prices. 😉
This guy deserves a medal.👍
Looks like he's already got a trophy
Absolutely..... Agreed 👍👍👍best of luck for him from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
As a Turk:) I really appreciate you... thank you very much for your all nice video

seviyoruz seni mick amca. umarım türkiyede uzun sağlıklı bir yaşam sürersin.
Unfortunately, that little pause before telling the price is the indicator that they do tell you the tourist price. =)
I am sorry for that.
