Why Foreigners Working in DENMARK Should Join a Union
When I first moved to Denmark I heard a lot of Danes were in a union, but I didn't think I should join one. I was only going to be living in Denmark for two years - at least that was the plan. When I lived in the United States I was a teacher, and in the union, but few other professions operated under collective bargaining agreements.
After a while I learned that most Danish workers were members of unions and even more worked in jobs where unions negotiated their working conditions. I knew working in Denmark came with a lot of benefits, but I didn't know how many of them were derived from Danish labor unions.
This video should help foreigners working in Denmark learn more about the process, purpose, and influence of Danish labor unions.
