Camino de Mulas @ Costa Rica. It’s the most epic 630km MTB ride with 14000m of elevation from border to border in our small beautiful country. Please come one day, it’s done early Feb every year!
Amazing ride, video and accomplishment. Seems impossible. - Does anyone know what FRONT LIGHT and MOUNT was used here? I'm looking for a mount where i can attach my #wahoo and a front light underneath?
Stunning achievement. Interested to hear about your training etc. My rather piffling longest ride was the Marmotte in the french Alps, 180km and 5000m, finishing with the Alpe d'Huez. Wasn't quick, but then I was 54 and had a relatively short training régime.
My longest ride is 52 miles and I have a 1973 univega viva sport which out of the 10 gears only 6 of them work and non of which are for climbing. I hope to go back and attempt it again when I get a better bike.
Thanks for all the kind comments! Glad so many of you enjoyed the video. A lot of work went into training for this and the team who filmed and edited it did a phenomenal job!
My Man Ollie...this is a incredible feat. I was hurting even watching this vid...! Can't IMAGINE what it must have been like for you on that bike, that last part with your neck etc OUCH. Mad respect! Really, Mad respect.
As many have stated, this was truly inspirational. I think there will be a lot of people using this as motivation to help them through their next efforts, even if they're a fraction as difficult as this one. How did you manage descents in the pitch black? Did the van lead they way or did you have to ride the brakes the whole time. I thought your first Tour Des Stations was incredible, but this is incomprehensible. Congrats!!

Thanks for sharing! We all had a little cry when Ollie crossed the line, he put in such a great ride 🙌 We hope this inspires you to push your limits ( big or small). If you fancy a full deep dive and the inevitable full ugly cry keep an eye out for the GCN+ film 👀

Having just completed a 320km event I have watched this in absolute awe. Chapeau Ollie and everyone that finished this brutal challenge. This is super human stuff. Great video too.
Just past the 8:30 mark, Ollie starts telling his support vehicle about his struggles and pains and the guy just says "yeah" "ok" "yeah" "ok". I feel like Ollie could have said "My left leg fell off a few hundred meters back and I'm bleeding out" and the guy would have just said "yeah ok". Ollie, you're a beast man. Not taking away from the difficulty of this challenge, but in the large scope of things, Ollie made this look relatively easy and his overall positivity was inspiring. Bravo sir!
Absolutely MASSIVE achievement! The physical and mental strength needed for this is just insane. Bet you cursed yourself an infinite number of times for taking on this beast of a ride :D Also surprised to see how light you packed! It seems you don't struggle with the cold during the nights and during the rain. I did the superfondo and can't even begin to imagine how much harder this is. KUDOS!!!
Hahaha there we're certainly points when Ollie regretted his decision 😆 That's part of the "fun" though, pushing though and overcoming the mental battles are all part of it! How did you get on the superfondo? That is no easy ride! 🙌

With such remarkable achievement I am considering to forget the "drop accident" from the saga of chasing Sinon TT bike. But honestly, this is a massive achievement. Kudos Dr Bridgewood.
Ollie if ever there was a mic-drop moment for you, this was it. To be able to maintain your sanity and sense of humour (I'm still chuckling at the French cobble-layer impersonation) after three days and 1000 kms on the bike is a testament to your intestinal fortitude and mental strength. Incredible Ollie! An inspiration to all of us on early mornings before long rides. I am really really sad to hear about GCN+, but please keep producing this brilliant content on the GCN YT channel. Ride on!
Massive Congrats ! This is a lifetime achievement ! As an Ultra cyclist myself I know exactly how did you feel during this, no matter who you are those rides are always grim at times and at the same time joyfull to tears. My longest Ultra is 1300km of Gravel, mud and bushwaking across Poland. Finished 8th. Actually have completed it only few weeks ago so the memory is very fresh. And I'm telling you that felt like the entire TDF for me. The sence of achievement and joy afterwards could not be meassured and compared. Enjoy your recovery and well deserved respect. Chapeau Ollie!
Congrats, massive effort for one of us mortals. Going from bonking to finishing three times the distance in style shows what preparation, training and attitude can do. I once wanted to quit halfway through a 200k route on a multi-day tour but pushed trough with a painkiller, so I can imagine what is going on in your head when you get knee pain 1/4h into the ride with your past experiences of the TdS. And Ollie, the madman just pushed on and actually looked stronger towards the end.
I love riding in Switzerland and have done most of these passes but never en masse like this. While riding in one of the most beautiful countries on earth in the dark is a bit weird to me, we must kneel before Dr. Bridgewood and kowtow for his incredible athletic achievement. Bravo, Ollie! And the crew did a great job on the video, so am looking forward to the full length version.
Well done Ollie and all your support team. Monster effort. I can't believe how cheerful you stayed. My max is 310 km in a day and that was hard enough. Chapeau

What an achievement Ollie, hats off 💪 I was following you all the way and was so chuffed to see you made it. I live in Valais and have trained on many of these climbs, 2-3 is usually enough but to stick 'em all together, it's hard to comprehend. Chapeau !
Congratulations ollie . Your the king of GCN no one can take that away from you . All the taking the piss out you you deserve respect from the rest of GCN
What I absolutely love about these videos and documentaries of these insane challenges is that there is no sugar-coating how difficult it is and the struggles the presenters are going through. They do a good job of inspiring whilst also pressing the point home that there are going to be times-some really long-where you are going to find yourself in dark places both physically and mentally. And when you've hit your limit, there is no shame in tapping out so you can recover and ride another day. Chapeau, GCN.

Fricking nuts.... in awe of the effort and mental strength displayed here!!! 💪🏻
Chapeau
Best GCN video I’ve watched, if not cycling video on RUclips altogether. Great production and camera, and credit to Ollie for sticking with it. Thanks guys.
Damn Ollie! Just WOW! Big respect for you an hell yeah my thumbs uo is for you. Ive done a couple of 240 / 250km rides and that was tuff enoughfor me.
Big round of an applause for you mate!
What an achievement Ollie, hats off 💪 I was following you all the way and was so chuffed to see you made it. I live in Valais and have trained on many of these climbs, 2-3 is usually enough but to stick 'em all together, it's hard to comprehend. Chapeau !
Just stunning.... both the scenery and the ride. Chapeau Oli. You are, as ever, the ultimate super domesgeek. Love it.
Awesome! Monumental ride! This brutal challenge is really super human. Well done, Ollie! I hope to ride a little bit of if soon (just the Tremola + Goldfinger sections) ^___^
Many thanks to the Crew for the incredible video too!
Many congratulations Ollie ! Living now in CH, such giving me inspiration to train and to face that wonderful challenge one day. Thanks GCN for your quality contents !
Respect, above all. Did a handful of 300 km years ago, but never back to back. Getting sore all over just watching this video. Terrific job!!
Stunning… just stunning. Every time you think GCN has pushed you Hank and Conor you find something else even more ridiculously hard to master.. chapeau Doc
You are nothing short of an absolute animal!!! Be proud!!!
Dr Ollie B you are an absolute machine bro! Well done. It's been awesome watching you develop as a rider over the years into a challenge eating animal! Thanks for the great content and also a big thank you and well done to the GCN crew!
