Nope that would ruin any kind of motorsport.
The problem is money, the Team with the best car will win, earn more money from winning, has more money to spend and will win again.
Basicly over time one Team has like 10 times the amount of money to spend on the car and always wins, every other Team will stop to participate because they have no chance.
if you want a no rules race look up time attack cars, a famous one is Pikes Peak Challenge.

Well, I don't like what the F1 has become, I find the races quite boring compared to other MotorSports. The problems I can list are as following:
The first problem is that the races are dominated just by Mercedes and RedBull.
Another problem is that the cars are way to similar.
And the final problem seems to be that the cars seem way to big and that results in an unsatisfactory amount of overtakes
I feel like they have gone from "what can a team push given some guidelines" to "you are all making X car. No if, ands, or buts."
Where it puts the power into the drivers hands. It also guts innovation in favor for rule skirting.
I now find it thoroughly uninteresting as it's IMO it's long-lost it's authentic appeal to the grass-roots enthusiast and just become another hyper-commercialised mass-market circus filled with overpaid celebrities.

@@alexodoherty4313 No, I am brazilian. Pee kay (like Murray Walker used to pronounce) is wrong. Pee-Ke (as in "forte") is the right way to pronounce it. I think it is a french surname, but it may stem from Spain also. Like the guy that used to bang Shakira.

The whole point of racing was to see who could put engineer the other. To make things that people come up with gets rid of that. There should not be any rules except for safety equipment.

Felipe 6th is 55 years old now, he wasn't a kid at all at the time.

When they banned the Grid Girls F1 just went down the pipe without any chance... Today the cars are ugly as a bull fart, and the pilots are just a bunch of kids with lots of hours of simulator and millions, trying to not cry at the first struggle.
id saylimiting testing as much as they have prioritizing the simulator made f1 way different almost immediately.

As always, Ferrari and other major teams cheating and getting away with it while further punishing the smaller teams for even trying to catch up. Any reasonable body would ban Ferrari instead of listening to them, but nobody would do that.
F1 is dead and the numbers show it.
The reason is simple. It has become an advertising-platform for people and teams "in the club", and not a test of driving-skill, ingenuity, invention or engineering.
A good example; Skirts. Makes the cars handle better and be safer through increasing downforce. Banned. Why? Becauise the "wrong" teams won using it.
It's now about "build this exact car the best". Can't afford that? Tough luck, you're not in "the club".

Nobody loves Formula One today. It’s boring NASCAR is more entertaining in formula 1
It's still entertaining for midfield battles. Yes the dominant driver (2014-2020 Hamilton and now Verstappen) is 99.9% going to win but battles between other teams with lower budget are raging and this is what we want in the sport. Head to head battles and some great driving. Oh and there is plenty more in motorsport than NASCAR, check formula drift it's fun too
Cool, that's why F1 is still one of the most popular Motorsport on the planet and not NASCAR.
