Hi UPK, Good Video Buddy! FYI That HF Compressor (I have the exact model) puts out 4.7CFM @ 90PSI and 5.8CFM @ 40PSI. You were spraying at 30 PSI so I'm guessing you were consuming around 6.0 CFM. My compressor fills to 125psi then cuts out and comes back on at 80psi. The refill with "nothing attached" takes 1.5 minutes from 90psi back up to 125psi. I broke out my R500 and set the gun to 30psi and sprayed until the compressor kicked on and I was able to spray for 1 minute 50 seconds. I continued to hold the gun (settings wide open for both) open and it took the compressor 7 minutes to shut off. The motor cylinder was HOT but running fine. Here is my take. Because these small compressors are basically running non-stop after the initial spray both the compressor and the compressed air are getting hotter and hotter. That means moisture and oil vapors! I think an oil trap and a coalescing filter is a must. What do you think?

Thanks for the great content! I downgraded my garage and replaced my monster compressor to a 30 gal single stage 120v compressor. I'm setup for auto engine and welding so I no longer needed the big guns and use mostly 18v cordless tools. That being said, I'm interested in body fender and paint work. So thanks again for this!

Between your videos and Paint Society's videos I've learned so much, when I first started looking into painting I was getting discouraged because everyone online says you need a $2,000 compressor and high end equipment to get a quality job and you prove time and time again that's not the case. Do you think this setup in this video could paint a whole truck?
I’m glad that I could help in any way with the videos Joseph 💯 you could do a whole truck with this setup but you would have to be aware of the pressure dropping on you as you’re spraying so you would have to wait at times for the compressor to catch up and then continue, but it’s very possible to do!
I added a second tank to my air compressor to get more air flow I now have two 25 gallon air tanks hooded up side by side for my home paint jobs because the single tank wasn't enough to keep up been painting for over 34 years as a RV body man painter at work we got a 1000 gallon tank to run our shop for up to 24 workers to use at the same time

Realistically your favorite gun, the A610 isn’t really that much lower than this gun. The Chinese marketing advertises it as 3-3.9 cfm but Pete’s Hobbies measured it closer to 8cfm which isn’t at all surprising since that gun requires 35+psi to spray well

Great video UPK with some great advice and busting a few myths about using a HVLP or any full size gun on a small compressor, I normally only do single panels but I used to use one of those direct drive 50L (10 gallon) compressors and had no problems using my ProLite, DV1 and my Sata X5500. I now have a bigger belt drive which I got more for my own sanity than the guns as that direct drive was driving me nuts with it's constant drone in my lugholes🥴🤪😂John UK
If it were I’d be getting the vevor 80 gallon oiless showing people how much energy and money with lvlp u can save not using a hvlp on a small compressor 1200 American I’m Canadian vevor Canada does carry the 80 gallon it’s a nice unit.I had a 26 gallon before my 60 gallon it drove me nuts waiting for air running tools
Good to hear you upgraded but everyone doesn’t want a 60-80 gallon compressor so I show how to go about doing things with a small compressor and a big compressor, I have 2-80 gallon compressors and they work great for me but I also have several small compressors that work well for me also, I appreciate you checking out the video 💯

It’s good to have those for your setup Danno, I personally don’t use them when I’m painting but they definitely work!

I read detailed compressor datasheet somewhere, as long as I remember if it deliver 4.5 cfm at 90 psi means around 9cfm at 30 psi.

If it were I’d be getting the vevor 80 gallon oiless showing people how much energy and money with lvlp u can save not using a hvlp on a small compressor 1200 American I’m Canadian vevor Canada does carry the 80 gallon it’s a nice unit.I had a 26 gallon before my 60 gallon it drove me nuts waiting for air running tools
Good to hear you upgraded but everyone doesn’t want a 60-80 gallon compressor so I show how to go about doing things with a small compressor and a big compressor, I have 2-80 gallon compressors and they work great for me but I also have several small compressors that work well for me also, I appreciate you checking out the video 💯

I second this comment!!!! We've got no garage and only a 20x24x16H covered carport. I'm always wishing I had a garage and interested in ways to work around it. No room for an inflateae either.
@TheRealMrRoyal I was thinking maybe getting like 2 or 3 10x10 pop up tents cheap online maybe market place then getting some tarps to put on the sides and make a opening for like box fan in the front to a cut out of the tarp?
