    This info is gold! It could really help someone buy the right guns to begin with and not waste money. Honestly, I would just buy both as a base gun and separate clear gun. They're certainly inexpensive enough on A. Express

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Boss, after my first video taking them apart and doing a pattern test, people seemed to discount the A610, so I was trying to show and say that it's not that clear-cut.
      Hopefully, that came across using the A610 for something that's not it best use. Really, it's a better clear gun than base, but it's capable of doing both and getting a credible finish.
      It certainly shouldn't be written off because the fan is smaller, cheers mate, thanks for the support as always 👍

      @peteshobbies5383 hi pete I live in the USA I talk with Brad that works for sagola he told me that the price for the new upgraded sagola 4600 price will not increase , also he said that the needle and tip will fit the new version from the old version ,, but the air Nozzle will not fit , also Brad is in Spain now at the sagola plant they are getting ready for the release very soon here in the USA

      @refinishtechnology2529 Hi mate, Thanks for letting us know. It's good to hear the price won't change. They are already expensive in the US and UK since Sagola were purchased by Elcometer in the UK, and they increased prices significantly.
      It's also good to know they aren't changing the tip and needle, so those of us with older guns can use them on the newer model. We appreciate the update, cheers 👍

    Very informative! Makes sense that the original r500 with the I pattern would be better for blending. You can whip the gun at the end and not have a tail end from a rounder pattern.

      Hi Matt, I find most people are looking for a big pattern, bearing in mind a 1.3 will only flow a certain amount, a big pattern isn't always what's needed, you obviously realise that but many don't, thank buddy, 👍

    Hi Pete hope you are ok mate, great video as always and it's packed full of useful info for people that are not sure what to get if they are looking for a good but cheap gun to get them started so this is perfect with an unbiased look at these 2 guns👌
    I always thought that the A610 was just a posh R500 and they both sprayed the same but after seeing this I now know this isn't true looking at the different spray patterns but as you say the smaller fan doesn't make it a worse gun compared to the R500.
    As you know I have the R500 and always found it was a really good WoW primer gun and it lays the basecoat very well but I wasn't so keen on it for clear as it gave more peel than I'm used to but I suppose it would pass if you wanted a OEM finish for the clear🤔
    Thanks Pete a very interesting video👍

      Hi John, thanks mate, yeah, I wanted to say about the fan size not being the be all and end all, quite a few people have messaged me and generally think the bigger the fan the better which isn't the case, it's much more dependent on what your doing rather than the size of the fan.
      Cheers mate 👍

    • @JohnWD40TC02
      @JohnWD40TC02 6 месяцев назад

      Yeah exactly mate as sometimes the fan can be to big for the gun if it can't deliver enough paint to fill the fan that can be worse than having a small one, I'm sure there is a joke about bigger isn't always better but I might get banned of here again🫣🤫🤣

    Another fine review! Wish I had those available in the Greek market... Here you can either buy a GTI pro lite for like 500 euros or some rubbish 15-20 ones that's totally unusable.... An AZ3 here is like 250 euros and something like a Wider1 is like 400... That's madness... same goes for everything here, from milk to car... sad place to live your here...

Sorry if I bring to your comments something irrelevant to the review, but yeah, the struggle here is real, I ll contact paintingtoolsjp for my next purchases of spray guns, maybe they we can find a way to save some money from customs... Btw it's at this tough times that reviews like yours has huge value to people like me around the world! Once thanks so much for your efforts!

    Learned so much about sprayguns and spraying watching your videos.. 👌 Thank you!

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Mate, No, most higher output compressors are not oil less, so you'll normally need an oil lubricated compressor.
      What is important is filtering the contaminants from the air. Take a look at these videos. The first is my old setup, but it worked very well.
      The second is my current setup and has been trouble-free for 2 years now, it's worth spending more on clean air than a good gun, not as exciting but certainly worth it, videos below 👍

    @kfpolska1494 3 месяца назад +1

    Hi. Great job! However, you make a mistake by comparing only one copy of the same product. Check the clearances in production on several of the same paint guns. It's roulette, so one will be great and the next 5 will be unacceptable.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi Buddy. I get what you're saying, but to be fair, most are produced to the same standards. For example, I had 3 different Gti Pro Lite copies, different names, colours, etc , but they were all the same in build and performance, cheers 👍

    • @kfpolska1494
      @kfpolska1494 3 месяца назад +1

      Hi. Maybe this is where the negative opinions about cheap equipment come from. The cheaper it is, the weaker the quality control. Legendary brands like SATA take care of this. In cheap products, the priority is to reduce the price. Maybe someday you will test e.g. R500 or 898 or other cheap painting guns in this respect. Regards.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  3 месяца назад +2

      @kfpolska1494 Again. To a degree, I would agree. However, cheap isn't always poor quality . One of the equations you have missed is profit. The big names make lots of profit , and cheaper often relies on more sales

    The A610 uses a bushing for the trigger which makes it feel gritty, the R500 uses oring which is smoother. I returned my A610 due to the trigger feel and the air cap holes was not straight. Also first stage of trigger pull on the A610 is very short. I dont get how they spray differently when the needle sets are the same and are interchangeable. I like the R500 better.
