    This is an in depth tool box tour of my personal toolbox and its contents as well as a look at how I organize....sort of....my toolbox for efficiency in my workplace. I have spent many years gathering tools for my job and have come to enjoy it and take pride in what I have. Thanks for watching!

    Breath of fresh air to see someone talk about efficiency and why they’re methodical with their tool purchases instead of just showcasing their tools.

    • @autotech6sixty695

      Thanks! It seems like many techs don't remember that the more work they turn the more they make. The more efficient you are the more you make, the more methodical you are with purchases, the more you keep in your pocket! Side note; Im glad you didnt mind the explanations, when I finished the video I couldnt believe I talked for almost an hour.

    Nice mix of high quality and affordable. There are things I just don't go cheap. Impact swivels, Allen's, BiG YES for locking extensions. You're box is really well organized and stocked. I really enjoyed watching this one.

      Some things are worth the extra money and some aren't, when I started working on cars as a teenager I had a hand me down craftsman box full of second hand junk tools (that I was happy to have haha). That was how I figured out what was worth it and what I could "get away with" haha. Thanks for watching!

      I love locking pin impact extensions. They lock into the hole in an impact socket. No way to lose it. And if socket slips off a nut the impact cant launch it across the room

    Man I love that color I almost wish I got that instead of the storm grey if my box was your color I would have got it it's such a good looking box in the cranberry red and a light blue with some flake in it I don't know what they call it but that color looks sweet too

    Good job! First time I came across your videos & just subscribed.
    Been a tech for about double your experience & hate cars now but, enjoy watching kids work w/o the irrigation I deal with on most cars. Mostly for entertainment but also to remind me why I chose this life course.
    Non offensive looks, non offensive voice, think Eric O style & you could go far on video young man !
    Remember, keep it happy & people like me will subscribe.

    That’s a nice color I really like that. I heard it was discontinued now but I’m not sure. I’m a younger tech so I work out of a US General box right now. Have the 44 inch top, bottom and side cabinet. My only complaint is not enough deeper drawers otherwise it’s pretty good. I’m a dealership Subaru mechanic so I don’t need a ton for other vehicles. One set you should add to your ah crap drawer is the master rethreading set from either Snap-on or Lang. Lang makes it but it’s saved my tail a few times. So has the spindle rethreading set. I’m also planning on getting either a used or repo Snap-on cart with the drawers all the way down or the new one from Harbor Freight that copies the Snap-on I really need a cart as I’m running out of room I’ve got stuff under my box, outside my box. At least where I work nobody will run off with anything and we are all good with each other using stuff as long as we get it back. Wish Harbor Freight would not of discontinued the side locker because I could really use one.

      My first box was 30 years old 17 years ago! haha It was a craftsman top and bottom 26 inch. I lost it to a fire and then picked up a used but in good shape snap on KRL 54 inch box and a small no name roll cart and then a Cornwell (Sunnex) rollcart. I outgrew them all. I found my current rollcart at a pawn shop for a great price. My cranberry KRL was a new "scratch and dent special" you cant tell but it was discounted about 40%....it was still expensive haha. It will likely be my career box. You can get good deals on used snap on boxes. So far Ive had no complaints about my snap on boxes. I wore out the slides on my Cornwell cart...a good cart...but not the same quality as snap on from my experience. Im sure a harbor freight cart would be fine for a good while, Im guessing its probably on par with Sunnex but you'll be able to tell its cheaper after you fully load it and use it for a few years. The cranberry color is still available in the master series line and rollcarts, not sure about the epic line...I had the master money but Im not epic yet...and Im not sure I want to be haha.

    I beg to differ on Capri. If you buy from Capri and "break one", they will send you a new one, no charge, and if you start the process right away, you'll probably have the new one in less than a week.

    Been wanting a bigger tap and die set, do you think it would hold up to semi trucks?

    • @autotech6sixty695
      @autotech6sixty695  3 года назад

      I've only used it on light and medium duty applications. I think it would be fine as long as you use hand tools and have a good feel for when to stop and back out if you think a tap is about to break off. When I bought the kit it was about $80 which was the price of ONE "good tap" in a large size that I needed. I do think there is a quality difference between a high quality tap and the harbor freight kit but for the price its great. If I was tapping new metal everyday I would go with something better but if you are just repairing threads and bolts during the course of a repair it should do the job long enough to get your moneys worth.

    Snap On is a service you pay for. Their tools are fine. If you are animal buy them. Otherwise you'll make out same with not "lesser" but "other" brands to the point you can by 4 sets and still have decent access to warranty if your truck guys is well ya know...quits etc.

      Sorry, I dont speak Russian. Translator says something about all of my tools being new and only for filming. You're wrong about that but its the internet so thats normal. Sure of those sockets are new...or they were when I filmed this, like the 1/2 drive 12 point impacts in my top drawer... because I bought them....new....I replace and upgrade my gear. Oh yes, and my toolbox was new when I did this video....I sold my 30 year old box and bought this one. I have a roll cart video that has most of my day to day tools in it if you want to check that out. Have a good day.

    Ahh, yes. But show me your 26mm.
    You don’t have one? I thought you said the gray pneumonic 12pt 1/2” drive socket set was a fully complete kit from 10mm - 36mm
    (sad part is I actually on 26 mm sockets, lol)

      @@autotech6sixty695 nice, 👍🏻. Okay, so then I’ll raise the stakes just a hair, my 3/8 drive sockets are a full set. Now when I say full set I’m talking 6mm - 26mm.....(actually 27 mm if you count the oil sensor socket, lol)
      So, now that you know how often the 26 mm gets used, Imagine how often you’ll need it and 3/8 drive. Hahaha

      @autotech6sixty695  2 года назад +1

      @@Hipsters_N_Hippies Haha I've been bested. My largest 3/8 drive socket is a 22mm....but it does get used. Smallest is an 8mm. BUT I do frequently use a 15mm 1/4 drive...

      @@Hipsters_N_Hippies does your 1/4" set go to 5/8"? I've got an SK deep set that goes from 6-26(well it came with 2 25 and no 24 which SK was going to send me but they don't make 3/8 above 19 anymore)
