      Wish I would have went all long drawers , but my snap on guy had a smoking deal on cranberry 84 epic so normal drawer layout is what I got

      Don’t worry bud I’ve been at it for 3 years got all my solid basic tools but ima till buying stuff to this day!! Just be patient and be smart with money don’t get too over your head with a tool truck if you choose to. I’m not knocking the tool truck entirely but I’ve seen people with out even realizing it getting into stupid stupid debt

    Great tour man. Love the bag of o rings everyone has lol. Having your grandpa’s adjustable wrenches is awesome 🤩. The power and long drawer option is awesome great choice.

    I watched your video about 5 times this week, I'm so impressed what a beautiful box you have and you have the right amount of tools to do your job. You're not the kind of guy who must own 500 sockets and 300 wrenches, I wish I was 40 years younger just getting out of high school because this is the path I should have taken. I've watched a million toolbox tours and I must admit yours is number 3 on my list. Keep up the great work you do

    I used my 1/4 driver screw driver handle all the time the last shop I was at. Made tightening hose clamps in tight places easier with some wobble plus extensions stacked on it.

    That’s badass you got some legacy wrenches (your grandpas). I’m a first gen mechanic in my family (at least what they’re passing off as a mechanic nowadays lol). I’m looking at boxes now. Hoping one day, I’ll pass it down to one of my sons. Hell, maybe I’ll buy another later and have one for each of em lol.

    Don’t get me wrong, the epiq boxes are great but the extreme tools box I like more, it’s thicker metal and it’s a fraction of the price of course.

    When it comes to the bigger wrenches I just got mine from HF. 1 3/8”-2”. Right about $100 but I also love the Mac precision torque wrenches. Love the box tho. I like the long drawer set up.

    Manual vacuum pumps work great to remove oil and coolant out of cylinders or oil down dipstick tubes or axles. No oil showers from pulling transmission pans or axle covers in the driveway for me. Mityvac is the brand, make sure to get the extended lines for it.

    Good to know Matco makes impact allen bits. Looks like the same packaging they did on the magnetic sockets they sale .

    I love your tool box. I think this would be my ideal setup. I’m always looking at boxes with several long drawers, but I love this all long drawer set up with the power drawer.

    If you’re not a big fan of the spark plug ratchet try flipping the handle around. I flipped mine and it’s probably my second favorite ratchet now.

    Dieseldog 1988 Garage... Nice toolbox tour. I love the Epic toolboxes especially with all long drawers like yours.. I would love to trade my Matco toolbox for a Snap on toolbox. Probably won't ever happen but I can dream, right?

    The snap-on tap and die set I have both the full metric and standard sets I use them all the time and I have only broke one die and no taps. I have probably used them hundreds of times and they still work like new.

    I used to have a nuts and bolts collection in my drawer also, until it kept breaking the tracks in my Snap on box. A few coffee cans solved that. Not only freed up space in my box, but made me faster at my job too. Now my nuts and bolts are organized and I don't waste time looking when I need one

    I have had good luck with Snap On tap and dies. I just bought the sizes I needed. Some days I would use a single tap 10 times a day and it still cuts threads and has not broken yet. Tap holding sockets are way better than that T handle piece of junk. I found a my tap sockets at a Napa.

    The tire inflator the trick that I do put an air fitting quick check on it then you can use all your air fittings with it without Unscrewing them. Great Video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

    Good looking box. Dont be afraid to venture into the Pittsburgh big wrenches. Or neiko for big wrenches. Torture them and not feel guilty, then warranty them.
    As for bigger sockets, get proto. They're easier on the wallet but will be passed on to your grandkids.

    Hey man. I have been a heavy equipment machanic for 40 years and my rual of thumb if you don't have the tool and you have to borrow it twice then buy it. If you buy things you think you need you may never use or you will go bankrupt buying tools. Good luck.

    Great video, I love your tour. You can for sure tell you use to be an auto and light truck technician. It is funny because some of those tools I own as well and I am in auto and light truck and I have not used them in forever. just came across exhaust manifold spreader tools in my box and this is what I think about when seeing alot of your auto/ truck tools. thank you for the tour.

    I have a nice set of Sunex big wrenches my Mac rep ordered for me! Been working on school busses for almost two years and moving into a Mack/Volvo dealer next week! Any recommendations for tools? Also do you have a recommendation for a diag scanner for the heavy duty stuff? I'm a younger tech at 27, just getting my feet wet in the field

    Thanks for the tour. I noticed most of your wrenches are 12 point. Never needed 6 points? I'm trying to build by new box and I was always told only use 6 point and only 12 point if you have to.?

      12 point box end wrenches are the standard.

      If it gets the job done it doesn’t matter what the name on the side is or where you got it. Snap on has great tools, but the cheaper brands can be just as good. Especially starting out.

    As an ex Harley Davidson technician, I have so many extra o-rings and gaskets that it isn’t even funny. One whole drawer is full of o-rings and gaskets. Then another drawer is filled with electric stuff and wires. You become a hoarder of the most random things once you become a technician

    I had a 68 epic with 2 lockers it got broke into the way the locks are they destroyed my box and lockers to get into them so the qaulity of the box is great I lost around 20 thousand dollars that took 30 years to buy everything and 1 weekend to loose everything but you can't get a better box than snapon

    There's my tool box! Lol thanks for the tour D. I just started almost three weeks of power technician class as diesel mechanics. Naming tools really helps because, honestly...I came to college with no knowledge of any tools, parts, math, and measurements. Any tips would be awesome :)

      @@TheDieseldog i ended dropping two classes, heavy duty brake and CDL class, and basic hydraulics. I love it, but didn't want a bad permanent grade. Long story short, got my text book that came off of my own pocket and looking forward in next year and this is a headstart for me! Btw it is an awesome feeling when getting the right size ratchet the first time to loosen up some bolts

      @@wubmaster8622 don’t get fooled into the tool truck hype. Gearwrench are good, it’s what I use. Got a bunch of my grandpas old snap on stuff from back when it was American made. Warrantied all the old tools and got new stuff, compared to new snap on and my gearwrench I’m more impressed with gearwrench

      @@vincentgelvez I wrench for a living. And a lot of snap on now are Chinese made. I buy gearwrench and am I’m impressed with them. Also use Tekton, my Tekton takes pretty heavy abuse and have lasted me well.

      Can’t afford the cam and delete right now. Just going cheap and putting new lifters in and ordering a Range Disabler. If they go out again I’ll do the delete with cam and everything.
