The people who disliked this have no hearts. This is a beautiful moment. I may never find someone to have a kid with but I do know that having one is pure joy. That mama squirrel has her miracle back. I'm so glad
Thank God for Mothers! I am a great fan of 4 legged babies and the 2 legged kind should learn more than a thing or 2 off of their genuine sense of loyalty, love and duty.
It's a good, warm feeling that reaches deep down to your soul when you know that because of your actions, because you took the time to care, you saved an innocents life that surely would have perished. You do it because you can.
What's on that rag? Ether?? 😂. No, seriously, well done for helping re-unite the two of them. ❤️ I love all animals and seeing this renewed my faith in humanity.
Thank you for giving Mama squirrel a chance to come back and get her baby. So many people don't wait long enough to give a mama squirrel a chance to realize one of her babies is missing. They don't realize that mama squirrels don't hang out in the nest most of the time but are mostly out looking for food. They only come back to the nest to clean and feed their babies a few times a day.
Thank you, Irene, for that information. I hadn't thought much about it, but I can see you're right. The mothers do have to be on the move to feed themselves and thus have milk.
+yelloworangered if a baby falls out of nest, put in dogs and cats. give moma squirrel time to find her lost one(s). two babies fell out of a hole that lead into my attic. two story house. moma came for them and had to make a 10 ft jump off of ledge to reach the hole. with 2nd baby squirrel, mom fell twice, but never let go of baby. finally she got them in the attic. once they were all out of attic, i had hardi plank installed.
In some cases isnt not always best to try to wait for mom to come around. When you don't know how long the baby has been without food. My family used to find baby squirrels often and it's a matter of how hot/cold it is, how weak the baby is, ect. It's really a judgment call based on common sense.
I remember during Hurricane in the 1/2 time quiet, son went outside ! I told him to be back in as it will turn back, he brought in two baby squirrels we kept them safe in an aquarium all cuddled up in a blanket ! Hurricane finally over and sun was up ! Opened the front door and babies were crying for their momma, we took them outside, put aquarium on its side and soon enough we heard excited chirping from mamma! I was amazed she came for them !! The three darted off
Ok I know this is a year later lol but I dont think that they wine for there mama I mean I have a 2 week old baby squirrel and when I first found it I have never heard it wine for there mom or anything like that BUT its non of my business so no hate plz
It's a doggie world we live in but ppl like this, with a loving heart, is proof that God 's love is still with us. Thank you for sharing this rescue on a mommy's love for her baby. God bless ppl like you,!!/
more than a few. we just need to be put in the right situation, that is all. for example i am trying to save all the goood loooking big breasted 22 year old chicks. hehh

I love the way momma rolls baby up into a little ball with her hands and mouth, then grabs baby's neck and tail at the same time. Seems like a great way to make sure you can safely climb back up the tree without baby falling out of your grasp. Amazing little critters! Thank you for doing the right thing and letting momma come get her baby instead of deciding you needed to "save" the baby and take it inside. Too many people think baby animals are abandoned and interfere instead of letting the parent come find baby or placing baby back in the nest when it is a bird or bunny. It's nice to see someone recognize momma WILL come looking.
She had to check out the surrounding area to make sure no predators were around before she picked up her baby and headed back to their tree. Smart mama!
So amazing how momma squirrel checked for danger before approaching the baby... swinging her tail trying making her rounds to gain attention to see if there was any threAts... so very cool thanks for sharing 😊
What a wonderful thing you've done! You made the baby as comfortable as possible and gave the mama a chance to save her little one. I noticed all the little things you did to make the mama feel safe enough to come get her baby. I believe you are one of those few people that will go straight to heaven when you die ❤ thanks for the love.
It was rolling the baby to see it was OK - they do that to check for broken bones, etc., before carrying them away. And the tail-wagging showed that the mamma was frustrated and upset. Squirrels communicate with their tails so all of their different tail movements have meaning.
If you notice, they don't hold the baby by the scruff of the neck like cats. The baby holds onto the mother`s neck or wherever they can grip, with all four legs, and she holds on to the baby's side. It makes the baby easier to carry while negotiating tees etc., especially when the baby is bigger and heavier. Sometimes she needs her mouth free to grab a branch so if baby is holding on it helps.
That was a pretty high fall for that baby,. I hope it had no injuries. It was nice though, to see mom come rescue it. Thank you for assisting this little guy, keeping it safe, and making it possible for mom to find him/her.
Bless your lovely heart for looking after the little baby so well. It’s great to know there are people like you who are so lovely and so kind who love animals, instead of hurting them. Thank you x
That mama surveyed the whole entire porch and figuring out how to get that baby back. She wanted to take it safely down the stairs but that baby gate was in the way. Glad she could do it safely another way. Animals are very smart!
Thanks for saving the baby! Many baby animals become lethargic when alone because they do not have enough body mass to stay warm. Looks like momma will atke good care of him.
Awesome to watch! I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time. Thank you for not messing with the baby, instead allowing a natural rescue by mama!!
I just love the way Mama Squirrel rolls baby into such a small ball, I miss seeing squirrels we don’t have them here other than in zoos in Australia I remember going to the park to feed them pine numbs and other nuts that were native to the area they are always so much fun to watch all the time I never tire of watching them🤗🤗
Thank you so much- great job! Mom really had to case the joint for the quick successful escape with baby! She can't risk something hasn't moved or changed. Love how Moms pick them up by the stomach so babies naturally hang on during such a perilous aerial ride :)
It was very thoughtful of you to put the baby squirrel in a safe comfortable place where the mama could find him. Thanks for sharing this video, too! It's good to know that even after a baby squirrel being handled by a human that the mama will not reject the baby but still come back to try to save her baby. Go Mama Squirrel!
Seems as if the squirrel was checking around to see if it was a trap... and when it knew it was safe, it picked up the baby and went home... what a heartwarming scene
I have hope for humanity that that lady put a soft blanket down on her patio until the mother squirrel could come and save it. Animals need human help sometimes and thankfully she was there to provide it. Blessings on her.
So sweet! I have a ton of squirrels here that come see me many times a day for food. Along with Stellar Jays, finches, crows etc., I feed them all, I get so much more in return. Loved this, thanks for sharing!
Thank you sallycobb for sharing this.... It's beautiful.... and you are beautiful.... An angel in disguise... I bet.... Infinite blessings to you and yours.............
Thank you so much for sharing! I loved watching. I found it interesting how when the momma got close the baby started moving. Momma didn’t seem to want to get too close till your furbaby became a threat in her opinion. I loved this.
What a lovely lady you are. It's a real shame that the media doesn't show more of the good that is happening throughout the world, especially as we celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas.
very smart ... great going sally! i wish everyone would do that. so many people take them to rehabbers, or inside, and then the mom can never retrieve them. unless the mom has gotten killed they usually know their baby has fallen and do everything to get them back ... if you just give them the opportunity. so sweet to see them reunited.
Regardless the dog barking, this momma just care for her baby'life. I just want to cry, hic! Thank you for taping this. So far i have not killed any living things. They do have the family and they do have plenty of love much better tham some human being that i known!
I wanted to thank you for sharing these beautiful moments of compassion. I wish I could erase all the hateful, disrespectful comments because you certainly shouldn’t have to see them. Please do not ever let the lack of humanity and kindness in others change your amazing heart! I applaud you for your caring nature and want you to know you have touched my heart. I would love to know where you live. My niece married another wonderful young man from India and they now live in Bangalore.
So glad you did that...their eyesight is not the greatest close up...the babies usually are kept really warm. So glad you made a safe space for the monther squirrel to come get her safe baby! 💗
It is amazing that animals have so much understanding & caring for their loved ones sometimes more than human beings . As humans we can learn from animals.
Well done you! You did exactly the right thing! Most people scoop them up and take them to a sanctuary. I worked at one for a couple of years and we’d get babies in all the time! Spring was always the worst. Raccoons, squirrels, opossum, deer, ducks. Unfortunately the birds (not all were injured by cars, windows or bullets. Well done! Thank you for the rescue! ❤️

I thank you and the mother squirrel thanks you for saving her baby.
I love how she circles around the entire porch to make sure there's no other danger lurking around ... 🥰
It's most because of the one holding the camera.
Thank God for Mothers! I am a great fan of 4 legged babies and the 2 legged kind should learn more than a thing or 2 off of their genuine sense of loyalty, love and duty.

What's on that rag? Ether?? 😂. No, seriously, well done for helping re-unite the two of them. ❤️ I love all animals and seeing this renewed my faith in humanity.
Makes me happy that we still have some good people that care for animals :) thank you ....
@Carlos.... Thank God good people still exist!!!... it certainly is a "make-ya-feel-good" video!! 😂
Just glad the dogs bark didn't scare the squirrel and was able to make the rescue.

She had to map out a safe escape route first! How amazing! Thank you for sharing ♥️
Momma is really upset. I have never seen a squirrel’s tail move like that! Thank you for caring and loving. God bless you.
Kathy Newman they move their tails like that when they're agitated! sometimes they also make a sort of screeching noise as well!
Yes
Re k. Frame
newman's comment. Of moving mom squirrels tail, I never saw a squirrel move her tail like this either.
That’s awesome! Thanks for taking the time to let the mom come back and get her baby. 😊❤️🐿
Thank you so much for leaving the baby in a safe place for mom to come find him!! This is exactly what you should do!
how can you not love mother nature? simply beautiful, thanks for protecting the baby

Squirrels are precious animals....I wish more people were that kind
It is amazing how they're able to bundle the the kid up n just trot off really fast. Yay..indeed!
She had to check out the surrounding area to make sure no predators were around before she picked up her baby and headed back to their tree. Smart mama!

Look at mama's tail going. . Aww... and I love how they roll their babies into a ball lol
Good eye! I watched it again after reading that, and yes, mama did do that! Wow.
You could see how agitated she was by her tail, and she was probably chittering ninety to nothing!
That fascinates me...how they quickly ball their young up and dash off with them!
It was rolling the baby to see it was OK - they do that to check for broken bones, etc., before carrying them away. And the tail-wagging showed that the mamma was frustrated and upset. Squirrels communicate with their tails so all of their different tail movements have meaning.

Wow!!! Mother's love and sacrifice are beyond words.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍🙏🏻👼🏼🐿 Thank you for rescuing and protecting this little guy.
That was cute, she looked around first to make sure the area was safe.
That's a good momma.
its adorable to see how a baby squirrel, holds on to its mom, while she holds them.
Thanks so much for taking the time and trouble to save this little guy and to let us watch!
You can't dismiss the love and caring of a mother animal. :-)
That was a pretty high fall for that baby,. I hope it had no injuries. It was nice though, to see mom come rescue it. Thank you for assisting this little guy, keeping it safe, and making it possible for mom to find him/her.

YAY!! Thank you for caring and helping mamma squirrel find her baby safe and sound!
So sweet thank u
That is one crazy, long, twitchy, ragged looking tail, lol. She rolled up that baby and tucked her into a ball and off she went! So great.
That mama surveyed the whole entire porch and figuring out how to get that baby back. She wanted to take it safely down the stairs but that baby gate was in the way. Glad she could do it safely another way. Animals are very smart!

You are so sweet for helping the mama find her missing baby.
Unusual and uplifting contents - could hardly be improved upon. Thanks for being available to a hurting world.
Bless you for doing that. You are an angel.
Fascinating, never seen a squirrel retrieve its baby before. Also, odd looking squirrels where you live. They lack a bushy tail and twitch them a lot.
Seems as if the squirrel was checking around to see if it was a trap... and when it knew it was safe, it picked up the baby and went home... what a heartwarming scene
You are a great person looking out for all the animals around you!
Thank you, Sally, for your kindness.

Woww! L'instinct d'une maman c'est ça. J'avais le coeur qui me battait fort, comme-ci j'étais à sa place 😍😍😍👏👏
I am just so happy she rescued her baby.
