Empowerment plan - bringing warmth and pride to the homeless: Veronika Scott at TEDxSanJoseCA 2012

Founder of "The Empowerment Plan" Veronika Scott, has built an organization started around a single idea: to design a coat specifically for the homeless. The coat is self-heated, waterproof, and transforms into a sleeping bag at night. That idea has now transformed into a system of empowerment in which homeless women are paid to learn how to produce coats giving them an opportunity to earn money, find a place to live, and gain back their independence for themselves and their family.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, Where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (*Subject to certain rules and regulations

Great idea and execution. Great heart, for sure.
Just this, as an Emcee, I can't help but point out that you shouldn't shuffle around as you speak and most importantly, thank your volunteer for helping out.
I know you're not a professional speaker but those points addressed would make for a much better presentation in the future.

Since 2008 I've given out thousands free blankets on skid row los Angeles only to people sleeping on the sidewalk without anything covering them. I would like to buy a bunch of your crazy jackets maybe 500lbs so I can give them away
