I fish Hampshire Avon and Dorset Stour but to watch you on commercials is a joy. You work so hard and your results reflect just how good you are. May you successes continue
Hi Jon A really quality demonstration of how to manage a shallow fishing method on a commercial fishery, A brilliantly fished match Jon, nice and steady, and a good running commentary on your thoughts throughout the video. Fantastic learning piece for those of us novices in the carp fishing world, Thanks for sharing learned a lot. Take care, stay safe, regards to family and keep it lit.👍 my friend.
another brilliant video jon, and i don't no if you chould of fished it better coz im no match fisherman, and the ather thing is it was not boring just keep them coming please 👏👏😜👌👌👌
Gave up match fishing years ago. Eventually sold all my gear a few weeks ago as I didn’t even pleasure fish anymore. Absolutely love watching these videos though. What knowledge and talent. 👍🏻
Fantastic show of getting the method right and executing the game plan. God knows what weight you would have got if you had the F1's queuing up. Another great tuition video full of great tips and information. Cheers
Top notch video. Great angling, and a Cruey for icing on the cake. All round brilliant day with some pocket money for your efforts. Love Jon. It's about time the fish woke up. Been a long drawn out winter, if not a very cold one. TTFN
Great video, really interested you seeing fish both the jigga and a fixed rig seeing when one was more efficient than the other so far from boring Jon ! Your catch up comments explained why you were using sonu baits groundbait in a previous video 👍🏻
Awesome display Jon, as always. I would like to know though why you start at 14m rather than say 11m? Especially when you have so much room. Thanks for sharing. I learn a lot from your vids. SUPERB!
I just find based on previous experience on this lake that its the best distance for me, with it being so wide. I feel the fish are being attracted from the far bank. The fact that the short pole and margins were poor on the day backs this up.
Bostin cheers Jon you found my catapult🤣🤣🤣 don't suppose you know if that heat wave is due from the 17th onwards do you I'm off to white acres that week 😁👍
Excellent tactics John. You definitely called it. Did you get more on the static or more on the jigger? Shame the short meat line didn't work for at least one monster carp. Good job.
HI Jon, I love watching your videos, do you recommend using worm/caster slop at Little Gearys at the moment? I have been given conflicting ideas, IE: corn, meat, pellets, worms, casters and maggots, confusing for me and the fish. Thanks in advance
It can certainly work on LG but 4mm hard pellets seem to dominate on the long pole. Id use meat or corn or pellet down the edge and the short line is always hit and miss on that lake for some reason.
@@JonArthur What’s your opinion on mixed nets? Our club docks major points for going over net limit and per fish in the wrong net. Only dropped one roach into the carp net this year but fortunately the venue was so crap I didn’t catch any carp to worry lol.
Its mostly some prototype stuff I have and have to agree the pouches and elastic are not what they used to be. Sooner someone brings out a decent catty the better 😉
That was really impressive Jon, why do you think that they prefer caster rather than pellet? is this something specific to this lake? great vid as ever! 👍👍👍
Hi Jon. Great video!!! I have a match this weekend on the same lake, and was wondering what would you recommend this time of year? 4mm pellets, casters or maggots? Thanks
The one thing you don’t want straight across from you is it to be all higgledy piggildy 😆 So if I remember rightly that’s a watering can rose, a rock, a stick and a catapult. Tune in next week when Jon hooks a Bitcoin 😆 As always cheers for the time to film edit and upload 👍🍌
Hi Jon, im doing the anglers with disabilities match a week on sat, they have reserved siblings a n b and little gearys, can you shed some light on baits and is it a f1 venue or mixed with carp? Im planning on caster shallow, meat short and groundbait for the edge. I can't get down for a practice unfortunately so any help greatly appreciated, cheers
Those tactics will work. Mpstly f1s but some pegs hold a lot of carp up to 10lb. Theres ide in Sibs too. Sibs is about 14m. Little gearys about 25m so a Little method feeder on there works too.
I fish Hampshire Avon and Dorset Stour but to watch you on commercials is a joy. You work so hard and your results reflect just how good you are. May you successes continue
That’s really nice of you Brian
Great video. Enjoy watching .
Thanks Allan 👍

Thanks Carl. Never too late to take it back up
Another great video Jon. Crucian looked pukka. Plenty of them on the complex in the early eighties. Keep um coming 👍😎
Yes was a brill crucian venue. Grats lake still has a load too

Well done Jon!! A really good effort, well thought out, well instigated, shows you what a class fisherman you are 🎣🎣👍
Sometimes! 🙂
Well done Jon; what a great weight.
I really enjoy watching you fish and learn something new every time.
Tight lines,
Eddie:)
Thanks Eddie 👍🐟
Cracking film Jon really enjoyed it. Loved the big Cruican at the end.
Nice to end on a fish like that 👍
Well done John top angling 🐳🐳💰🥳
Thanks Paul
Great video
Thanks David
Mint well done fella 👏
Cheers CC
Well done mate, cracking catch and lovely crucian at the end. Would have probably weighed that on its own.
Yes someone weighed a proper one over 3lb the week before
Great video, really interested you seeing fish both the jigga and a fixed rig seeing when one was more efficient than the other so far from boring Jon ! Your catch up comments explained why you were using sonu baits groundbait in a previous video 👍🏻
👍
Well done pal 👍thats my favourite peg on molands
can i have my catty back please🤣
Ha ha, but how can 15 be anyone’s favourite peg on Molands? Surely there are 10 others you’d rather sit on?
great vid mate
Thanks

Well done Jonny. Nice when plan A comes together.
Absolutely 🙂
Thanks for another nice video Jon! Great fishing and stunning F1's! Wonder what made you decide "it's a caster-week"? Worked out well👍
Thanks Jos, I just like casters if I have them
Great effort Jon, only catch the rusty lamp in a Fisho qualifier
🤣
Bostin cheers Jon you found my catapult🤣🤣🤣 don't suppose you know if that heat wave is due from the 17th onwards do you I'm off to white acres that week 😁👍
It’s gonna snow all that week I hear! And you’re the 5th person who lost a catty in that peg. No wonder I caught one of it’s a catty graveyard lol
@@JonArthur 🤣🤣🤣 ill pack me battery heated socks and fish the closest peg to me lodge for hot drinks 👍
Excellent tactics John. You definitely called it. Did you get more on the static or more on the jigger? Shame the short meat line didn't work for at least one monster carp. Good job.
Thanks John
You said boring but I must say your films r never boring
Appreciate that ta
free catapult, shame it wasnt my mobile that went in there. hahaha well done John
Was it a Nokia 3310? 🤣
@@JonArthur no but that'll do🤣🤣
well done top man
Thanks
you'r very accurate with that catapult Jon

wow jon this is a 1st at min yr dislike m8 not been on lol great fishing well done
Was that a fishery allowing mixed nets? That's rare these days. Great vid as always, thank you.
Yes mixed nets is the norm at Packington
@@JonArthur What’s your opinion on mixed nets? Our club docks major points for going over net limit and per fish in the wrong net. Only dropped one roach into the carp net this year but fortunately the venue was so crap I didn’t catch any carp to worry lol.
Hi Jon I noticed the black elastic in your catty! Can I ask what you used as I find the drennan elastic doesn't last! Great vid as usual👍
Its mostly some prototype stuff I have and have to agree the pouches and elastic are not what they used to be. Sooner someone brings out a decent catty the better 😉
hey jon, always a pleasure to watch your videos! that cap on your head, does that mean you have signed with sonubaits the same as jamie hughes?
🤐😎
Nice fishing jon , what make of dibber was you using ?
Awesome.
Thanks
great video. was it a true crucian at the end. i couldnt tell from the video
Looked true enough to me. Used to be lots of them when I first fished the lake
Wondered if you had a look at the scales that fit on landing net handle and if yes your thoughts .👍
I’ve seen them. Nice idea but not something I’d personally use.
That was really impressive Jon, why do you think that they prefer caster rather than pellet? is this something specific to this lake? great vid as ever! 👍👍👍
I think quality F1s at certain times of year just love casters and they sink slower so they bring them shallower
Great video as always Jon,did you weigh the catty in
😁
Lol no!
Hi Jon.
Great video!!!
I have a match this weekend on the same lake, and was wondering what would you recommend this time of year? 4mm pellets, casters or maggots?
Thanks
hi jon great fishing, does pellet work on the jigger.
Yes definitely
Thank you
Jon why do you mix silvers with f1,s big f1.s at that, but none the less great video.
Packington fishery rules are mixed nets and it’s the norm on this lake for roach, skimmers, crucians and F1s to be together
The one thing you don’t want straight across from you is it to be all higgledy piggildy 😆
So if I remember rightly that’s a watering can rose, a rock, a stick and a catapult. Tune in next week when Jon hooks a Bitcoin 😆
As always cheers for the time to film edit and upload 👍🍌
I have a strange kind of magnetism! 🤣🧲
lol I could do with a free catapult :) well done on the win
Cheers 👍
Hi Jon did the winner on little geary’s use caster or pellet shallow ?, cheers 🍺
Caster i think but noticed this week pellets are back to dominance
@@JonArthur Thanks Jon 👍👍, keep catching mate 🎣🎣🎣

Sonubaits ?
Yep 😎👍
@@JonArthur congratulations
I wish I was as accurate with my catapult!
!TS his job
👍
I should throw that catapult back in, the Preston ones aren’t very good. Stick with the Drennan😀
They’re not great either to be honest, but hard to find a better one… for now
Great vid Jon or are lass would say king Jon can I have my catty back please.
Ha ha!
And gained a catty 👍
