    Well done Jon, If they had allowed branches you would have won the match, You probably caught a lot more fish than most anglers would have done on that peg. You kept your cool after losing fish and again most anglers would have been pulling there hair out, and that's another reason your a top, top, angler, All the best Jon.

    Another enjoyable video Jon. Can't help but wonder whether or not an entire forest had taken up swimming. Seeing little Katie at the end was a highlight for. This lockdown has kept my grandaughter at bay for far too long. She'll be 2 in May. All of here a missing her.
    Thanks again Jon.

    Be nice to think, in lock down they could be going round n round in a boat tree cutting and raking, by the time anglers are allowed back, the tree would look nice, and there more than enough wood for winter log burner. Hate to see (what some mite call) a sterile managed venue but, that’s just to much rubbish, with large carp in it. It’s amazing how quick things grow, when left alone. Well done getting a few of yours out.💪💪👍

    • @JonArthur
      @JonArthur  4 года назад

      Difficult task clearing a venue that big of all the branches. It would take forever and only takes one windy weekend to be back to square one. I think my peg was worse than most because it is narrow while 95% of the fishery is open water. Branches or not I wouldn't have qualified!

    great video jon ,you have got more patience than me. i would have been tearing my hair out with the branches.you would have thought the fishery would do something about the branches, if they did five pegs a day it would help,i know you said you had no chance from the lake you was on is that down to the stocking density of the other lakes being a lot higher...all the best scott

    • @JonArthur
      @JonArthur  4 года назад

      Campbell is highly stocked with less place to hide, so that lake dominates all the matches. Middle isn't match fished so much and not got the same head of fish. As far as branches go, on a 130 peg+ venue clearing them is like painting the Forth Bridge! I think my narrow old swim was an exception really. Its a lovely looking venue and I'd hate to see all the old trees chopped down!

    • @scottwalmsley3393
      @scottwalmsley3393 4 года назад

      @@JonArthur thanks for the reply jon, i'm not a advocate of cutting trees down but i think with the down time we have been on. something can be done about the rubbish in the margins and do you think that fisheries should have a level stocking on all lakes,i find it demoralising to draw on a lake that hasn't got a cat in hells chance of winning...many thanks scott

    Jon Great match video, just watching you pullout lots of branches got me thinking is it down to the individual angler to clear his swim before a match or is it down to the fishery to clear debris that has fallen off due to strong winds etc? Thanks

    • @JonArthur
      @JonArthur  4 года назад +1

      I think if you can't see them you won't know they're there til you hook them. It'd be very difficult to rake all the pegs. Huge undertaking maintaining a fishery of this size.
