    at 6:36, this actually applies to all bosses except raven beak and experiment Z-57, this is because while normal enemies are programmed to instantly die from a speed boost/shine spark, bosses are programmed to lose exactly 50% of their max health, which is why two shinesparks are required to kill a normal boss. Ravenbeak is immune to shine sparking presumably because his armour (which also contains the speed booster) is designed to counter it, and experiment Z-57 has a secret instant kill cutscene when shinesparked on.

    So a bit of the gold Chozo Soldier being visible after it has jumped behind the building is likely because once it is out of sight it simply has no further animations assigned to it at that point and is locked in place until Samus leaves the room and it unloads from memory.

    There is a Giant Chozo Mech being built in Cataris. It is located in the bottom right corner of the E.M.M.I. zone. • @drakke125Channel
    @drakke125Channel 2 года назад +10

    Spoiler Tag Warning:
    I'm gonna talk about the Thoha and Mawkin DNA in Samus.
    There are two famous tribes in the Chozo tribe/culture, including Thoha and Mawkin.
    Thoha are more peaceful while Mawkin tend to be warriors. There's a difference in their appearance as you can see.
    The Mawkin DNA was donated to her by Raven Beak, while the Thoha DNA was donated by another elderly Chozo Thoha as we see illustrations of her being with scholarly/scientist Thoha in her younger years after they took her in.
    Thanks to the Mawkin DNA, this enabled her to perform great feats in combat and acrobat, and great agility.
    Thanks to the Thoha DNA, this is potentially a reason why the Baby Metroid did not attack her, as Thoha Chozo supposedly 'have the power' or a trait that allows them to 'control' the Metroids at their larval stage. Something about Thoha's seem to put Metroids at ease, while Mawkins and Metroids do not interact peacefully with each other, and can trigger survival or combat instincts in each other.
    The Mawkin Raven Beak triggered dread and fear into Samus, and consequently the Metroid DNA within her, causing her to react with her Metroid side awakening.

    Something that I speculated is that Raven Beak posseses Aieon abilities like those found one SR388: A barrage of energy beams/missles, A shield which absorbs energy (and damages opponents who touch it) and a phase shift (maybe for the long dash attacks). I don't know if it was listed in a previous video, but the first time you go into Dairon (to get the Varia suit iirc), there is one room with an EMMI door in the middle left, a recharge statue above it, and in the upper right of this room, there is a giant metallic door in the background, and when you get close, you can hear 2 or 3 loud bangs that come from the other side of this giant door, and whoever produced the bangs, left a couple of big marks on it.

    Now I wonder of the GF ship is gone during the escape sequence just like the Chozo ones... Also, during the scene with the Golden Chozo jumping on those very ships we can see that they can hold maximum one person (like the Zebesian ships), so whoever escaped was probably alone or two/three max. Of course if they were Xs then the number isn't significant.

    • @meta9492
      @meta9492 2 года назад +5

      Its more likely the ships were utterly decimated after itorash crashed into hanubia, considering the damage everywhere and that it causes the planet to explode its highly likely thats the case. Also even if few x escaped they reproduce asexually so they can always increase in number

    • @Mothbean
      @Mothbean Год назад

      It's also possible that the ships simply crashed into the ground during the escape sequence. The entire fucking planet was exploding after all, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that the massive tremors produced by the explosions caused whatever systems were holding the ships in place to fail.

The sprites I'm referring to can be seen in the prologue of Fusion and a few times during Adam/Navigation Room conversations such as once Samus arrives in Sector 6 to get Varia Suit, Adam pulls up an X sprite in the top right of the screen that's blue since these X adapted to the cold.

    Since it got brought up in this video, for anyone wondering about the Thoha DNA donor for Samus, he was Grey Voice, as we can see in the canonical two-volumes Metroid prequel manga.
    We can actually see his silhouette in the same flashback in the back, alongside Old Bird's silhouette, another important Chozo from the manga who also appeared in Zero Mission.
    Another reference to the manga is also present in the same flashback with the cloths wore by the Thoha scientists which resemble those seen in the manga with the Zebes Chozos.
    And of course the whole "Samus got infused with Chozo DNA" is also a thing that was previously only mentioned in the manga.

    • @AICW
      @AICW 2 года назад +1

      Wrong, Samus getting Chozo DNA is from the Super Metroid comic that ran in Nintendo Power from February to June 1994. In fact the manga uses the comic as the foundation for much of its plot (at least in Volume 1).

    • @umyum3858
      @umyum3858 2 года назад

      @@AICW Wait, I thought the manga was made for Metroid 1, as in it predates Super Metroid. Is that wrong?

    • @AICW
      @AICW 2 года назад +1

      @@umyum3858 Very wrong. The manga was published from late 2002 to 2003 in a now-defunct seinen magazine. It was made to be a tie-in to Metroid Zero Mission which came out in 2004.
      The 1994 Super Metroid comic is the origin for 90% of Samus's backstory. It created the plot points of Samus being the lone orphan survivor of a Pirate attack on Earth colony K-2L, her rescue by Old Bird and him taking her to Zebes where she gets a Chozo blood transplant to survive on the planet, and then her being gifted the Power Suit and trained as a warrior. It also introduced the idea of Samus's mental focus being necessary to maintain the suit's strength (so to many people's shock, it was an American comic that came up with this idea, not Other M).
      The comic also created the characters of Chairman Keaton and Chief Hardy, who were later imported into the manga. There was also another character named Armstrong Houston who fancied himself a "rival" bounty hunter to Samus and used a cheap knockoff blue Power Suit; it is suspected that the character of Anthony Higgs in Other M was meant as a replacement for Houston.
      The manga only created two plot points that have since been canonized: it established that Ridley murdered Samus's mother in front of her (the comic just said her parents died in a Space Pirate bombing raid), and it revealed that Mother Brain was a Chozo biological supercomputer who played a pivotal role in raising Samus as a child. Essentially the manga made Ridley and Mother Brain have a very personal history with Samus.

      The only thing I can Think of is like, the Robot Chozo Soldiers. We don't see any Chozo wandering around prior to the X outbreak, so I doubt it'd be one that was just trapped or such. Shouldn't be Raven Beak either since he'd make a B-line straight to Itorash so he can keep tabs on Samus and do the whole "ADAM" shtick
      So that leaves me with either the wildlife - which I doubt
      Some random experiments - ?????
      Or freshly finished up Robot soldiers that try to attack Samus as they sense her, but can't make it through the wall and either malfunction or understand that they're not making it through the wall, OR Raven Beak shuts them off remotely (like 'now is not the time, you'll come into play Later')

    So, we can say that the X parasite that mimicked Quiet Robe did not only mimic, but took over the body? It makes sense that the Thoha are such peaceful Chozo that even an X reanimated corpse would not be able to turn such corpse into a violent monster such as SA-X, and why Quiet Robe-X helped Samus escape in the end.
    Either that or the X really copy the entirety of the host, and could not amplify violent traits on Quiet Robe, because there were not any, hence providing Samus with support instead.

    After the encounter with Ravenbeak and blacking out, the A.I. that we talk to during the whole time of the game is actually Ravenbeaks himself, this can be noticed since he calls her "Samus" instead of "Madam". And only in the end when you are back in the ship he calls you Madam again.

    • @emmareiman64
      @emmareiman64 2 года назад

      It's highly likely, since we've not seen other Chozo wield arm cannons. The only ones to do that so far are Raven Beak & Samus (who has RB's DNA as a donation)
      It might also be RB only tech in a way, so no-one else simply has access to it, but he allowed it here to have Samus better resemble him than any other Chozo. Or to just have an edge on the Thoha, who can say when their bickering among each other began

    • @HateSonneillon
      @HateSonneillon 2 года назад

      @@emmareiman64 Well I would think other Chozo do use arm canons because everywhere the chozo have been there is arm cannon and morph ball activated technology left by them. Though that is my explanation for why those gameplay features exist all over. You're right that they're are the only 2 people we see using arm cannons so maybe it is exclusive to them.

    Samus actually had two lines. The one you mentioned with Quiet Robe. And when Raven Beak said "Power is everything." she responded with "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" there wasn't a subtitle for it, but I'm guessing in the chozo language that means something like, "I strongly disagree with your ideology and believe it is in everybody's best interest if you were to cease all endeavors regarding said ideology."
