Man, it's hard to find a monitor with higher resolution and because of its small size. And when you do find one, the price doesn't help much. Great content, and good to know that there are people who care about the PSVita TV.
@FigueiraGames monitors are an absolute pain. Right now 1080p is as high as I want to go for legacy content (ps3 and earlier) But future handheld will eventually need something if they keep making 8" displays.
@SyndiGlo yup that's the plan, right now I have serious issues finishing projects so I wanted people to have the blueprint in case I never fully complete it. This is 100% possible to thin out, but getting it working will let others work on it
Freedom wars for the showcase www and also it looks very good I might have to try this out myself bc the vita is quite small in my hands now that I’m much older.
@chasonlapointe dude I love that thing!! The main issue is that the vita can't read joycpn inputs yet! That was my original go to but programming wise this ended up being easier
Ooohhhh... that will be a problem. Still I like your solution and will be picking up the parts to play with myself. A 7" inch vita seems more reasonable than an 11' one lol.
@krystianchrzaszczpisarz35 absolutely! If you check the second half of the video it's definitely possible to fit everything BEHIND the screen. I hope someone does it haha
Great Idea! I remember once tinkering with my oled vita and found out it can stream video through usb.. although no sound, wonder if there's a way to fit bigger screen into vita such way or through adapter. pstv is cool and easy but it lacks that touchscreen on the back
@Atlas-1321 hmmm, I would say right now it's better to use a Steam Deck or Legion Go. The Vita 3k emulator doesn't run 100% on the jailbroken OLED yet. A steam deck or Legion go is a good bet though, can't play official cartridges though
@@pixelpatch yeah but switch is cheaper and you know it is switch you can play anywhere on any style also with mods its basically legion go with steroids

I hope you do this again with a slimmer battery and 3D printed piece for the screen to rest on top. Great work.

@@kasual_kai2986 it's super crisp
LOL that cable mess is crazy, but I gotta say, it looks awesome! :D
Oh it's an absolute nightmare, but the concept is there!
Very nice, I was thinking about a similar project using the Up-Switch Orion, an 11" switch screen and dock designed to make a bigger handheld switch.

Cool project . Given me some ideas too
Yeah this has a lot of possibilities
It looks good while working!
The screen is so crisp, I really can't wait to make the case for it
I believe you could make it even slimmer if u disassemble the shell from pstv since its just one pcb

Looks awesome!
I wish someone would do a teardown video of the deka vita 7
@TheMagnificentGman same, I wish we could get a PCB Release of it
@pixelpatch it's such a sleek and well put together piece of hardware. Could have been perfect with a switch like hdmi output via dock
Nice!

So they actually added the touch screen features to the L3 and R3 thumbstick! It's not amazing but it's there!
@krystianchrzaszczpisarz35 with a raspberry pi and a power pack you could output the vita to a bigger screen but it would look huge
@DNAMobileGaming The project would be more or less like this.
@FigueiraGames I'm not seeing the original comment, which one are you responding to?
masterpiece in the makin! 🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
@@NUNYA-BIZNESS thanks a million!!

Cool project but is in it better to just use a jailbroken switch oled ?

What would happen if you use an MClassic to upscale it? Would it work?
@KaiseRKay yup! On a 7 inch screen there wouldn't be a HUGE difference but it would upscale fine :)
