Honestly i thumbs down 👎 because you failed to “to wait to download GrandTheft Auto 5” ….Bruh I’m sure most of your viewers would’ve wanted to see GTA5 on this handheld what a Bummer “WEEK SAUCE BRO‼️” I couldn’t even Finish watching 🤦♂️
pin of shame
Shame !
WEEK SAUCE BRO‼
@velamy😂😂😂😂 Ikr 😅
@anthonyroman218 sir i was bullying you
when a steam deck and a Nintendo switch love each other very much
The Switch is 6x older than the Deck, disgusting
@trustyvault13canteen32 lmao
The switch puts its joy-con up the steam deck usb-c port and produces electricity. Then a baby is made
And have macrosomia
The two worse looking things ever.
blows my mind that the Steam Deck has its main GUI made to use with a controller, yet includes TWO track pads. While the competitors use freaking WINDOWS and don't include trackpads. like what
Sub-85 people like yourself are often easily confused.
The Legion Go has a right one at least
Every one of these handheld gaming PCs should have no less than 2 touchpads. The upcoming Ayaneo Next 2 at least is gonna have that, but I doubt fam is gonna take a looknat that if quality isn't being assured and if it'll suffer from the same issue that the Ayaneo 2S suffered.
I love how your channel has essentially turned into essentially Dankpods for random computer tech.
I didn't realise until you pointed it out.
Although I do like the Aussie jargon
Eu amo o dankpods
Was literally just thinking abt that 5 minutes ago and see this comment lol
Except that’s what dankpods is
Yoooooooooo You're totally right
Man get's his first "Sponsorship" for his channel, Doesn't Shill like every other youtuber.
What a king
👑👑
Time to start a series where you install SteamOS on progressively more like expensive hardware. Waiting for a supercomputer brand to send you a huge crate
can we get SteamOS on a Samsung Smart Fridge
@xaro621portal 2 on a fridge
@xaro621 if it has an unlocked bootloader and an x86 processor, sure! but usually those fridges use ARM cpus.
@xaro621how would you do it?
@JoelGer1 Samsung smart fridges run android which can maybe run Linux/steamos
Over the course of my life I've gone from being annoyed by chinese products covered with engrish to being pleasantly charmed by them
The portable gaming scene is getting better and better
PC scene you mean
@chriswright8074 Portable gaming scene. These are PCs but intended for gaming.
@darukineo Laptops are also portable tho
And PC means personal computer
I watch over a empty warehouse for 12 hours on the weekend and the steam deck is a dream come true
@Espartanica portable gaming PC scene*
Bro predicted the switch 2
I can't wait for you to put Steam Deck OS on the Steam Deck, will be funny
Nah we need Windows XP on that thing
I lol'd
"So this thing came with this weird customized version of windows called 'Stem OS' or something. It actually works pretty well, but you know what this channels all about! It's time to load up Steam OS on it and turn this Steam Deck into a Steam Deck!"
Would make for a great april fools video :D
@Pacca64steam os is a customised version of Linux 💀
guess what its running
I love seeing peoples shock at how well Doom runs. The power of the Vulkan API and proper optimization are truly unmatched.
@kadupseAgreed. But I think OP was comparing Vulkan to OpenGL. Since Vulkan is lower level and faster than OpenGL, games generally perform better under it than they do under OpenGL. It ran well under DX12 too.
And how great the graphics still are. It has easily gone to the top 10 list of most optimized to graphics games of history.
bro got sent a 1500$ dolar device for free as a sponsorship (even if it's for a limited time) and criticized the shit out of the thing. Based tbh
He's taxed for 1500 on a product he didn't like for a production that didn't cost 1500. If it wasn't for the content of the video i'd say it's worth less.
@TheEllord33its a writeoff since its commercial
Pretty sure he said he didn't get to keep it
I mean if they made a quality product bro wouldn’t roast them
If a reviewer isn’t willing to openly talk negatively about a sponsored review, then their review is worthless. Not just based, it’s the only ethical type of review. If you ARE forced to talk positively about something you don’t like it’s called an advertisement 😂
9:37 That sums up windows for you
I completely agree with you in regards to the trackpads on the Steam Deck. With the pads, it makes menu and desktop navigation a lot easier on the Deck. It also opens up a lot of possibilities for games that heavily use or require a mouse, both in and out of Steam. As an example, something that I frequently do on my Steam Deck is play Flash games on it, and with Steam input, I can easily maps all of the necessary keyboard controls per Flash game on the Deck and use the trackpad for accurate mouse controls.
Wow based Flash game Steam Deck enjoyer. Never would I have thought that that would be a use case for it
@BringusStudios It's a fun use case. It's not completely perfect, mainly stemming from Flash games having about half a second of audio delay for some reason despite the audio being fine on Windows, but it's nothing too bad. Many of the games that I tested work very well.
Insanely based, my man. Where are you finding copies of flash games?
@Yixdy I'll be honest, it wasn't super simple. The method I used involved trying to download the games I wanted through looking at the page sources for Flash sites, which doesn't always work well. Plus, I imagine that methods like this may be harder to do now that many Flash sites have changed due to the program's shutdown.
Though there are still archives of a lot of different Flash games online. One of the bigger ones is BlueMaxima's Flashpoint, which is a program that allows you to download and load Flash games and animations within it, but it might be difficult to install on the Steam Deck from what I've seen.
OneXPlayers tech support is horrid. I have a friend who has been waiting half a year for his original OneXPlayer to be repaired, this turns me off from buying one, the money is better spent on an Aya Neo.
The Steam Decks controls are horrid personally.
2:28 *pig noise*
If you don't hurry up and put steam os on a switch to emulate switch games on your steam switch, I don't even know who you are anymore...
Well, rip that idea…
just not possible tbh, the switch is locked to all hell
Hey Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today!
@Lamario862lol
@SilentGamerXLit is possible, google switchroot, but the switch emulation you cand really do
You made my google speaker search for the meaning of "brevity" and turned on my xbox during this video, thanks.
Lol
Same and I didn't even know I could yell commands at my xbox
I'm a dumb dumb you absolutely can use the controllers wirelessly, there's a middle piece thing that can connect them together that I missed
Gaming gaming gaming gaming gaming gaming keep on truckin boys
lmao nice
You should Test ReddDeadRedemption2 and
Cyberpunk 2077 those games pushes the steam deck pretty well
You should do a whole series of you installing steamOS on the most random systems possible! Like even intel Mac computers
In SteamOS, game properties let's you change the max res
Hogwarts legacy
I've heard a lot of people with the ROG Ally hated using Windows on a touch screen too and considered Windows to be the worst part of the system. It's really amazing what Valve did with Steam to make it so pleasant to use on a handheld. The small touches like the touchpads and so on really make it hard to prefer other handhelds over it.
I returned the rog ally extreme for a 1tb steam deck oled, the ally is so much more powerful and is compatible with a lot more games, but something about the steam deck is hard to resist
@Joe-qd7kd I love that the Steam Deck comes with Linux ootb, and bought mine to support Valve for all the work they've done on Linux. The biggest selling point for me though is the touchpads. I'm not used to analog sticks for shooters and find the touchpads to be easier to use.
As compatibility goes, I actually only have one game I play that doesn't work on Linux. I might get an SD card and install Windows to the card for it at some point.
@Chr0n0s38 that's what I'm planning on doing if I can figure it out
those people are just stupid, windows works great on touch screen
@mysteryperson324 Not really. Microsoft has been trying to make it work since 2008 or so and has never succeeded. There's a reason they gave up competing with Android tablets. Besides it's not just the touchscreen, controllers aren't a good input device for Windows either.
Needed a pick me up. Just finished my last day at my job and it was really hard saying goodbye to all my coworkers. Keep up the good work Bringus, I cant get enough of these vids for whatever reason lol
Good luck at your next job!
10:49 suddenly Doug DeMuro
bros thumbs looking like the spykids characters...
The thumbs?
That feeling when you’re eating a bagel at five in the morning and your Google home starts screaming the definition of brevity at you.
I have the OXP2. It performs as we were told, it has a huge battery, "large" screen. It can be used as a gaming handheld, as a tablet and a mini PC. With the detachable controllers it is all those three. I love it.
The only reason why steam deck performed bad on the console emulator game is because theres currently a bug that reduces performance by a lot on the cpu side, it has to do with the smt and cache, if u would disabled smt it wouldve run at 60 or higher too, steam os will apparently patch this problem in the next big update
it's also easy to fix ourselves with powertools and disable smt manually for a game when its needed
Is it patched now?
@soulreaper8944 nope until steamos 3.5 releases
@soulreaper89443.5 is available on the preview channel!
also it was compiling shaders!
On the steam deck you can force the game to run at native resolution through the game properties in steam. You should be able to access that stuff.
I loved the Doug demouro reference
The fact windows 11 packages tiktok on the os makes me glad I'm moving to Linux
It's pretty good. Takes a lot of getting used to though. Manjaro is probably the easiest to swap to from windows
Can you get the actual excel and word on some Linux system ?
@TheChocolatBlanc You mean the latest versions of it or something like apache office?
@holographicfrog1503 I mean the same one as you’d get on Windows , something to be able to work on excel and words files at the very least .
@TheChocolatBlanc onlyoffice
3:59 thanks
Yo love the vids bro 😎
This is the pre-release switch 2 😮
Fan Gogh! I love it. I have to subscribe :) Thanks man for the amazing video! It's very entertaining!
You SET OFF MY GOOGLE HOME YOU MONSTER
bruh, that van gogh pun at 4:53 had me subscribing
Funny enough the apu of steam deck is codenamed "van gogh", that's some next level 5D chess
When you said hey google 1:44 my phone just defined it to me
"I didn't realize that this game wasn't really that hard to run." buddy, its DOOM, of course it's easy to run
The reference to Doug geeked me so hard. Great video!
You could do the RE demos. 7, Village, 2, 3 and 4 all have their demos and run well while pushing performance. RE4's demo even has ray-tracing.
That Google answer messed me up 😂🎉
I usually don't comment on stuff but you truly are funny af dude. I just can't stop laughing watching your videos. Keep the same vibe dude .
Thanks man ✌️
op be like: i like big controllers and i cannot lie you other brothers cant deny"
1:44 I don't want my Google telling me the definition of gravity!!!
10:28 kinkus studios
The touchpads on the deck are divine.
As cool as this is, I don't know if I can justify spending upwards of $1500 for one of these...but if it goes on sale then maybe
The rog ally will come at 120fps and will cost about 750 bucks
@FunnyBloxYT yeah you cant get parts easily as the steam deck
@blissband3601 according to who exactly?
@nemesis8508 Since Valve worked together with iFixIt, officially ordering replacement parts Online is a breeze.
I'm unsure whether Asus will offer the same or a similar service for the Rog Ally. Would be great though, but I wonder what their quality assurance would be. The only thing I'm familiar with from Rog is their crazy expensive phones and laptops (besides their power supplies and such)
@blissband3601What are you going to be replacing that often?
11:49 Don’t worry Jon I would’ve NEVER gotten that if you hadn’t said
You activated my Google Home and now it won’t shut up
unplug it 😂
3:16 😂 Only true 2000's kids caught that Spongebob reference....LOL
Those controllers do actually work disconnected lmao, it even has an attachable thing to turn them into a controller.
Yea, only with the accessory. They don't have batteries inside.
@someguy9175 whoa lmao that's bad
The controllers detach and the scream stands using the kick stand which puts it in to fps mode for fist person shooter games
10:12 thats a pretty good idea actually.
OMG, that design is so creative!
How do they even think of that??? 🧐
bot comment
its shit
I think they may have gotten inspiration from the Nintendo switch?
@GrubbyWubby bot reply 💀
@jluiselizondo4483 homo reply
17:17 i gotta believe!!!!!
Yeah I totally agree with the trackpad statement, it makes such difference that for me it’s unusable without it, I always like to customize and with the steam deck it’s so much easier to do natively without plugging any external device than the joysticks,
I hope more companies adapt to it tbh.
I hope they don't, the trackpad is horrid. Totally unusable, they tried it on the Steam Controller and it sucked, thats one of the main reasons the Steam Deck sucks.
@chdreturns the steam deck pads and the controller pads are completely different, like not the the same type of design, let alone the same part
Getting sent an early test device, wiping all the preset and jerryriggin a different os on to it, is just simply a pro gamer move.
definitely can't dethrone the steam deck at that price point just based off the fact that price to performance the steam deck definitely has beat
He went from the onexplayer to the real steam deck with the buttons
8:00 1440p resolution will help you scale down games to 720p in integer scaling and it makes pixel-perfect games look really sharp. Plus, some games do render well at 720p and it brings good pixelated sharpness to rendered image.
"Big boy" "feels good"
Steam Deck feels like an actual console while OneX feels like a specsheet with two big joycons attacthed
The steam deck feels like a toy.
installing steamos on the onex turns it into a console tho
@thatonetech5511yeah that’s kind of the point…like it’s literally a gaming device first and a productivity machine second
Nice 4:16 Tongooooooo
Normalize touchpads on handheld pcs now!!
When he said hey google, HE ACTUALLY ACTIVATED THE GOOGLE
That trackpad is top tier more handhelds gotta use it
No, trackpads suck.
@chdreturns have you used the steam decks track pads? They aren't your pappy's laptop or god forbid dual shock 4 track pads. Those bad boys are the tits AND the ass.
As long as there's both two analog sticks, and one or two track pads, there's absolutely nothing to get butthurt about
@Yixdy what the fuck is that analogy. i agree tho
@Yixdy dualshock trackpads are shit
9:40 "changing the time and date fixed it" lmao whaaaat
Can't wait for the ROG Ally to come out so you can perform wacky experiments on it
SteamOS on Ally is probably going to be very good.
@MrSuperpoder I hope so, thats my plan for it.
It's been out
You really deserve your channel success, nothing of luck, just quality.
You can change the gamescope resolution above 720p. Use -W - H in the Steam launch options for width and height, for example -W 3860 -H 2160 for 4K.
You actually don't even need to do that, there's a specific option in game properties when you're on Game Mode, for exactly this purpose. I tend to set my games at 1080p or above and work down from there.
Loved the Doug reference 😂
I have a Steam Deck, but I've been very interested in more powerful handhelds that have come out or been announced. However, seeing how bad Windows is on these things makes me really appreciate SteamOS. And seeing that HoloISO still has quirks on other hardware, I think I'll stick to official hardware.
I love the orange packaging, very fine work.
That top USB c port is actually thunderbolt 4. You could use an external GPU if you wanted to get ridiculous with it. I think ETA prime actually hooked up a RTX 3080.
That's bonkers lmao
You pulling out the LeapFrog Leapster GS and calling it "the pinnacle of gaming" absolutely *destroyed me* 😂
I grew up a LeapFrog kid so that bit was *priceless* XD
When you said hey Google it activated mine and I was watching at 3am, my heart almost gave up
Just like the switch 2 😭
Literally
the “fan go” 😂
8:40 what's that msi pannel?
Looks like afterburner, which you would need to use those Rivatuner statistics overlays.
@Skidracer21 thx, would acctuly like to use it on my laptop
You sell out good and proper 😂
Did Nintendo just watch this video for ideas for the switch 2?😂
Love the Echos response lmao
What one person needs this much onexplayer
bringus videos so good, i return a year later and eat spaghetti to them
🔥_🔥 we want a sim card slot for every single upcoming handhelds.
You set off my Google lol
1:49 my google actually
Responded 😂😂
Up next on Bringus Studios: Running SteamOS on a Steam Deck.
Love this broski! I always learn about other gaming stuff from you!
1:44 my gemini heard this, cut the video off to stop listening, and read out a definition of bread
Your "hey google" joke triggered my google home and now it's describing "brevity" to me while trying to watch your video.
1:43 that activated gemini
It the peanut butter and jelly of handheld gaming.
16:02 this is such a Linus Tech Tips thing to say lol
the music for the "struggling indie dev" lmaoooo omg
Fan Gogh was fucking hilarious for no reason whatsoever 😂
Right when you said "Xbox on" at 6:50, you actually turned on *my* Xbox. I've never had that happen before.
I didn't realize this was a Bringus Studios video until the end lol
lancache has made my life so much easier i can't live without it
"if we dont have sudo?, what do we have??"
"we have doas-"
As soon as you said One X my mind immediately said "BET."
1:45 he said define (some word) my google
assistant on my phone reacted 😂
4:16 TONGOOO
