Bahb is totally right that it makes no sense to buy an Android phone just to emulate games. But for those of us who already have an Android and an 8bitdo controller, it's a lot harder to spend another hundred bucks on a dedicated emulation box. Great video!!
IDK. I've been emulating games on my new phone and I'm thinking more and more about changing it to a higher end in order to have more power to emulate other games. I think a really important thing to note though over the dedicated handhelds for emulation is that the phone is so much more flexible. It's like the argument pc players make that you can use it for a lot more. Want to play android games too? Cool. Want to set it up to listen to podcasts or music, if you have limited space on your main phone this could be an option. In a pinch when traveling, if your main phone dies you can just throw your Sim card in this (pack a sim ejection tool), and you have a fully charged device. You main phone breaks, you can use this one in the meantime while you wait for a replacement.
I don't like to use phone for emulation because i prefer to not spend battery with games, just save it for another uses and emergences. I like to have my phone and 1 portable with me. Some times i carry my PSP, sometimes New 3DS, Ps Vita, but never Nintendo Switch, it's too big. Even the PS Vita I think is big, close to my limit size. I used to use ípega 9087 for emulation, but the high input lag and my way of thinking that I just mentioned made me just abandon it, along with deleting all the emulators from my phone.
Exactly... I just needed another phone to have a backup for all my 2-step authentication crap. The way I had things setup, if I ever lost my phone, I'd lose access to everything. Not anymore. The fact that the 2nd phone can act as a dedicated gaming handheld is a huge bonus. I can also think of people who use their phone for content creation. It's always helpful to have a 2nd phone for extra battery-life or even to record 2 angles of the same footage, or use one phone to record yourself doing something on the other phone, etc.
Agree! I'm an iPhone person, but was able to pick up a lightly used Moto G and a GameSir X2 pro for under $200 and the phone has a lot more capability (actually kinda forgot how good Android can be) Also the screens on the gaming handhelds are just sorta meh. It can emulate up to PS1 well, haven't tried PS2.
@@joquerol My main phone is a samsung s23 ultra and my secondary phone is a samsung s21 fe. Even if both of them are too strong for emulation i use them for my job. I need many phone calls, emails, messages, viber with both of them. S23 ultra is used for handwriting notes and photos too. So i need a 3rd emulation device for my games. A phone with t618 cpu costs like the same as my retroid pocket 3 plus. But its already made with controllers, and running cooler than a phone with the same cpu. So i cant see the reason to buy a 3rd android device for emulation...
When retro games become too expensive (prices going up), I already have an android phone and emulation has been amazing (with slight lag once in a while). I use a Razer Kishi, and it's great.
I have a iPhone seven which does work perfect I have a n64 emulator a gba emulator a snes emulator a gameboy emulator a game boy color emulator and ds and PlayStation
I adore my PSP and 3DS for most of my emu needs. Super easy once you get it all set up, and I love the hardware. Emulation definitely brings new life to old hardware. Now I can’t wait for a software mod to hit Switch 🤔
Switch CFW has been around for years, but the main problem is that you basically need a launch day switch to install it because nintendo patched it super quickly. As far as I know there’s still nothing universal which is really disappointing.
I wana sel the switch and maybe my moded oled vita. Just need to be able to emu on 1 and good. I jave a lim edition hyrule 3dsxl moded also. All set up with ftp, i can do all file transfers for them on my phone.
I've been emulating on my Android for years. I love it, don't play to many platformers. But I love the ability to basically play whatever I want. Also the kishi has some issues with some emulators, but still the best emulator controller for me.
Bob, you're also forgetting you have 8bitdo SNES controllers that you love, that can play the emulators well, only requires you to purchase the phone clip if you dont have it yet. And it gives you acces to the headphone jack.
Yep, I do this with the 8bitdo SN30 pro 2. Awesome controller with a great clip. I get all the performance I need from my phone along with a (somewhat) large OLED display. The Pro 2 is such a comfortable controller for me.
I on the other hand hate clips, the whole contraption is too unwieldy for me. Still don't have a controller shaped like these Razer products, though, so I can make a final conclusion for myself.
@@youzernejm The SN30 pro does get a bit unwieldy since the controller is difficult to hold with the weight of the phone hanging over. However the Pro+ and Pro2 both have the controller grip legs make the setup easier to handle since you can use your entire handgrip to leverage the weight of the phone and the controller.
@@Robodob0 100% yes! I had an older SFC30 I tried this with originally and found it uncomfortable because it was too top heavy. The Pro+ and Pro 2 are essential for my use because of the grips. Also, the phone clip is awesome on the Pro 2.
@@youzernejm I do agree that the controller and clip combo is a little unwieldy when it comes to the little things like setting it down (I have to set mine on a stand to keep it from pressing the triggers) or traveling. I would say it's handheld but not portable.
I mean... considering most of the retro handhelds use *older* generations of android tablet and phone processors, it makes sense to use a phone for emulation. Most of the retro handhelds even run on a version of android. As long as you're an android user, it makes 1000% more sense to download emulators for use on your phone than to buy something like the retroid pocket. Especially if you're on yearly or bi-yearly upgrade paths. Add on a cheap plug-and-play phone controller and you've got a more powerful device with equivalent inputs, a better screen, and network capability. (For controller I'd recommend the GameSir X2 Type C on Amazon. It's not bluetooth, cheaper than Razers, and can fit any phones including larger foldables) Not only are you eliminating an extra gadget you'd have to carry around in your pocket but you're getting a more premium experience. (bigger screen + 120hz + high pixel density, bluetooth, future emulator compatibility, more controller options, more emulator options, higher quality sound, output video to anything wired/wirelessly, etc.) As far as set-up goes, I was always more of a put the different emulators in one folder kinda person. All those extra apps do is clutter up your app shelf and use up precious CPU bandwidth. Instead you can change the app image to be a picture of the console and other fun custom android things, which keeps things organized. I guess in my mind, the android OS is more of the front-end to various different things I can do on the phone. Want to play games? Open the game folder. Want to do boring adult things? Open the boring adult folder. Want to waste time? Open the social media folder.
I have a 1st-gen Razer Phone with a Mobi controller and a Vita with CFW. I must admit, I don't use them and actually prefer to buy re-releases on newer consoles. Not sure why, but once I get over the novelty of having all these games at my disposal, I have no desire to actually use them. I will probably feel the same way whenever I get around to modding one of my 3DS systems, and also if I ever pick up a dedicated emulation handheld.
Same. I went through all of the trouble of getting a flagship Android and a Gamesir for portable emulation. It was fun and exciting getting everything set up. But ultimately I found that I would rather just enjoy the games I already have on my Switch because using a phone doesn't feel like an authentic and immersive gaming experience. There was just too much tinkering involved getting the game run the best that it could. Also, I just have a different mindset using a phone than a dedicated gaming device. I do enjoy my CFW Vita and 3DS though, but not so much for the retro emulation aspect.
@@Iron_Triton Probably. It's also a bit of a pain to remember what I'm supposed to do when I'm jumping back into one of my modded systems. What directory do I put the save states in again? Which drive has to be mounted before the games show back up? Then again, if I actually used them more, that probably wouldn't be such a problem.
Hey Bob, I always love your videos. One random thing I appreciate about you is you don't talk in the same artificial tone that some youtubers do. You sound natural and interesting to listen to. Keep it up
huh, ive been watching this channel for a while and i cant put a finger why i keep on coming back besides the good content/editing which is a given, this might be it tbh.
If i hear correctly, the shaks controller works on just about every phone because it spring clips into a phone, it has analog controls and triggers, and it even converts into a pseudo mini portable controller for everything with the phone taken out. and it's one of the better controllers in terms of deadzone from what i hear too.
You should have a separate video with just your ad spots on it. Your video quality of your ads are awesome. You're one of the few RUclipsrs I watch the ads because they're so good and interesting.
Another good controller for android which also has an option for iphone is the gamesir x2. They have a version for each iphone and android that just uses the charing port for power or a bluetooth verson thay works for both. The style i think makes it look like a switch. Id check one of those out for emulation too. Works well
I had a lotta fun using lemuroid on my Sony android but when I tried to use it on my new Google pixel its wouldn't find any games I had downloaded on it
Dig is definitely worth figuring out. It's flexible to where you can choose the background images and music for individual systems or however you'd like. A good idea is to use one of the themes that's closest to what you'd like and adjust it from there. There are good tutorials on youtube and with 30 mins of tinkering you can make your dream frontend
This is why I started going for gaming phones. Dolphin ran with zero hitches on my ROG Phone 2 and it runs even better on my ROG Phone 5. I do a good amount of mobile emulating on my phone, and that's a very real argument for buying a gaming phone.
Wolff Den: you should know retroarch has many UI themes. One theme is similar to the ps3 interface and is way easier to use with controllers. It also download the box arts for all the games. The ultimate is launch box for android. You download the individual emulators and retroarch to your phone. And set launch box to use those emulators. It’s a front end with a great UI and you can add dolphin, redream, or any emulator to it. Anytime you click a game it will utilize that emulator you specified. ETA Prime did a great video on it. Takes some initial set up but when you’re done it’s flawless and easy.
Personally I cant stand Retroarch cause a lot of the stuff you just mentioned and the stuff Bob mentioned you have to do manually so downloading the box art needs to be done manually downloading updates for cores has to be done on a core by core basis downloading cores is also kinda a pain cause If you have no clue about about retro emulation like me then you just don't know how each of the dozens of SNES emulators are different. Also not having separate settings for each emulator sucks cause you very much need to be able to change the resolution with PPSSPP also one thing that wont apply to most people but absolutely applies to me is the fact that you can't mod games that can be modded with the normal emulator so for instance PPSSPP and Mesen emulator let you mod the visuals for games so in my case I played Daxter with a retexture and I played Metroid and the original Zelda with updated sprites that make the visuals look more along the lines of SNES games. And kinda the biggest thing for me is they really don't make it easy at all to change the UI design and I can't stand the PS3 UI I never liked it for the original system and I don't like it now and Retroarch would benefit greatly from just being like newer emulators like RPCS3 or Cemu and just running in a normal program window instead of being way too extra and having a whole as big screen mode like Steam that emulates the look of a dated ass system like the PS3.

One of the smartest things I did regarding emulation was using my old Samsung Galaxy A20 for emulation after I bought a more up-to-date phone. My A20 is a damn good emulation machine for everything from 8-bit games to PS1 and PSP games, and a few PS2 games too. Just recently, after a retro gaming expo, I dusted off my A20 and synched it up to my Ipega Wolverine, and I went to town. Between the PSP and PS1 games alone, I’ve been having a field day. And obviously, every 8-bit and 16-bit game you can name is at my disposal. While a Retroid or something similar is almost tempting, I’m realizing that with my Android phone, I have all the emulation power I need right now.
As someone who has spend an unhealthy amount of time learning to set up retroarch on pc and android, I welcome you to the life, lol. It's great after you learn everything, but it takes a while. Don't even start about syncing saves among devices with yet another app. I had a great time before my telescopic controller stopped working, hope I find a cheap kishi someday
You're using pretty much my set-up at one point here. I've got a Google Pixel 3 and picked up a Kishi on sale a few months ago for Game Pass stuff, but it's a great set-up for emulation. Super happy with it.
As for what I think about android emulation, I will say this: Galaxy s10e + Razer Kishi = Amazing emulation up to Nintendo Wii I mainly play Arcade, SNES, N64, Dreamcast, 3DS, GameCube and Wii on my phone, but it does them all nearly flawlessly. Actually, I just went back literally the day before writing this message, and downloaded an old Pokemon game and a GBA emulator and within 5 minutes, I was up and playing. There isn't a device on the market right now that can run all the emulators that a Snapdragon 845/855/865/888 phone can run at a better price than what you can buy a used phone for.
I remember playing GBA, SNES, NES, GB, GBC, Genesis, Java, Symbian and Ngage games on a Nokia N73 Music edition. Way back maybe I think in 2008. Emulation nowadays are much easier and more streamline. I love it. People complain how it's hard on Android. But maaaaan it's walk in the park compared to the process you have to do on Symbian phone.
Also should be noted, the choppy emulation may not be the emulator itself and could be because of the age of your phone. The pixel 3a is 3 generations old now, and A-line of pixels are the budget versions of the pixels already on top of that.
This is why the Apple eco system is so much more reliable. Android over releases *on* too many devices with their software on it, even to the point that Google's devices themselves (Pixel), become outdated within 3 years... The iPhone 11 performs just as well today as it did 3 years ago. The only time this was a problem was when Apple got sued for purposely making older devices slower, via software updates, a few years ago. Thankfully they can't do that anymore. With sideloading coming to iPhone/Apple devices soon, I think Android is going to have steep competition with people who were with them solely for open sourcing.
@@derrickkorstick8984 I meant to say they release ON too many devices. It’s the same concept as Windows, also why Windows is stringed together with spaghetti code.

Great video as always Bob! I'm using a Pixel 4 XL that I got on the used market for $120 and just ordered the USB version of the GameSir X2 with the actual D-pad. The Pixel 4 can do 3DS everything you demoed in this video. Plus it has a beautiful OLED screen, and all for about $160! I think for the price it definitely beats out every dedicated emulator out there.
The reason why Retroarch doesn’t just give you all cores at once is because of storage space and time. Why have unnecessary cores for consoles you’re not gonna use or have multiple cores of the same system like GBA has a couple of cores, even though they are different have pros and cons with each. Time also because Retroarch at boot up has load each core that was downloaded so if you have all cores, it’ll prob take more than a minute to launch a game which they know you don’t want to wait that long so they opted this way.
Totally agree that this is probably the best option that's out right now (assuming you already have a phone for it). I recently turned my old Samsung Galaxy S9 into one of these and have been using it to play anything up to the Dreamcast (as well as some PS5 and PC through streaming) and love it. In fact, I've actually been using it and the built in screen recorder on my phone to record gameplay for reviews on my channel (which look great, given the 1080p recording and the 19Mbps bitrate)
Razer Kishi is such an awesome thing. I am using it for a couple of days, and I already like it. I paired it to my Galaxy A52s, and currently playing A Plague Tale Innocence on Geforce Now. It's been a wonderful experience to me. Way more joy than playing on my PC.
This was a good watch, and I wish the Lemuroid devs the best of luck. But I'm honestly conflicted given the recent news around Libretro, the team behind RetroArch not being exactly nice to emu devs as they claim publicly. Real bummer too, just recently started using RA to cover all my emu needs
Personally I haven't felt a need for a controller that attaches to the phone. I use a PS4 controller wirelessly or a usb a to usb c adapter and an iBuffalo SNES controller. Both are great. Will look into the new app as well, but it's gonna have to be pretty special to pry me away from RetroArch.
11:30 when your in a game and open the menu, scroll down to settings and click it, then under preferences select screens layout - hybrid top. this looks a whole lot better imo.
I've played Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii on my $400 Poco F2 Pro 720p upscaled and it runs a smooth 30 fps and only dips to 25-28 fps on intense battles. It's crazy how far emulation has come on Android. I'm using Dolphin btw
So fun story I ordered an rg350m after seeing the review here. While I was waiting for it I decided to install retroarch on the vita to saciante my craving for retro games on the go. The problem is that after trying the vita everything else is a letdown The screen is perfect for upscaling The oled display is amazing and everything else feels like a letdown after. It's so good in fact I want to get a oled switch because the current switch screen felt like a downgrade from the vita. And the button layout and dpad are perfect. I can't believe how expensive the vita has got. It really sucks because its the ultimate retro gaming machine :/ and I can't say enough good things about the modded vita

I discovered PSP library through emulation on my cheap 2018 phone + 8bitdo controller. Was pleasantly surprised how well these games still hold up. With resolution boost they look just and play just like PS3 games. Motorstorm Arctic Edge is the best so far, and I tried 50 titles or so :)
The frase "just use and android phone" makes sense because most peoples already just have it. I hapen to have an dual screen lg and a joycon style controllers that so my day to day phone, is already an perfect emulation station
Hey Bob, my GF approves of your videos, and production value, even though she's not a gamer/geek. She just appreciates the thoroughness, and the quality you put into your videos. Just like I do.
Love your break down, but I have a maybe just me note but very useful. I use drop box to back up all my saved so I can play any emulator with all my saves on my laptop, my cell phone and my desktop. Anywhere I might be. A bit of a setup again, but extremely useful.
@@ronindebeatrice Yes, you can. Its what I have set up on everything. I'm about to install a minipc into my Jeep (Hooked to the Radio Screen) for the same back up process with drop box.
Bob, you might also want to try AetherSX2 (PS2) on your phone. And yeah: Android-based emulators have come a long way in the past few years. If I didn't have my GPDs already, I'd definitely use my phone for handheld gaming.
For Nds, you really want Drastic emulator. It's much better than anything else, but it's not free. Pixel 3 does have a pretty powerful processor even today, so that helped you a lot, especially with Melon DS. Drastic runs on potatos.
I greatly recommend the GameSir X2 USB-C or Bluetooth controller over any of Razer's controllers. They are well built, cost less, and are more comfortable (in my opinion). I do have a Kishi but never use it. I'm surprised you so had a bad experience with RetroArch. It's pretty plug and play. I hope you don't have issues with Lumeroid due to incompatibilities.
I've got an Oppo Reno Z4 and so far it runs everything up to GameCube flawlessly, chugs a bit with Wii, but I can generally get Tatsunoko vs Capcom running at 59-60fps with no noticeable lag.
Pretty sure the reason retroarch doesn't "give you" the cores is because that is code written by the systems producers and would be considered piracy. It increases compatibility using the original cores, but retroarch is code made by the retroarch team which is not illegal but including the cores would open them up to legal problems.
The cores are just different emulators made by enthusiast which don't have any affiliation to the original consoles/ console makers in any way. They likely don't have them all preinstalled for space reasons cause just casually having hundreds of emulators installed takes a fair bit of space and also they likely don't wanna step on any toes by having a default be chosen for each of the systems cause each emulator does things differently.
It's actually fairly simple to run emulators on IOS. You have to sign up for a developer account, but that is free and it lets you sideload apps that will stay on your device for 3 days. You can run a server on your home pc that renews the license every day (simple guides exist to set this up) so that you can keep using it, or you can pay 100 dollars to keep your "development apps" on your device for a year. This let's you sideload whatever you want to an ios device without jailbreaking it or voiding the warranty. I sideload several emulators onto my 12.9 inch ipad pro with the a14z bionic (precursor to the m1) and the thing is so powerful it demolishes everything you throw at it. Very impressive really. Connect a ps4 controller and you can easily emulate gamecube at 6x native resolution and full speed.
I even went a step further - I treated myself to an S24 Ultra a while ago, and what can I say, it's a fantastic device for emulation. From NES to Switch games, and even, if you put in some effort, Windows games (even GTA V is possible, portable on the train - it's amazing). I mean, if you take a look at the Android store with all the ad-infested stuff... just playing A Link to the Past on your phone and you’ve got a game that's a thousand times better than 99.9% of all "Android" games. Also, Enter the Gungeon or The Binding of Isaac on the phone are just my most-played games. No ads, no waiting, no annoying "click here for the shop" or "special offer just for you." Edit: oh wow, didnt saw how old this video was, it was coming up in my autoplay.... well, i guess im too late with that :D oh and the controller i use is a 8bitdo sn30pro with a smartphone clip
Bob you jailbreak ur iphone and add retroarch or delta to emulate and ncontrol to add any controller you want. Delta doesn't even need a jailbreak you can use altserver/altstore to side load it to your iphone
So, basically your whole reason to scrap the actual most logical way to play emulators on the go is that you're too lazy to spend more than a couple minutes setting everything up? That's an Apple user allright.
small correction... the USB port on the Kishi is *only* for charging. You can't use a USBC-headphone dongle with it. If you want to use headphones with the Kishi, they need to be bluetooth.
For iphone emulation one of if not the best emulator is delta which supports GB, GBA, GBC, N64, DS and more. It supports controllers natively and if you are not using a controller you can use the virtual buttons which give a haptic feedback when you press them.
So I kinda messed up my PS Vita and was looking at possible replacement retro consoles for a few months now. Was looking at all the Anbernics, Powkids, etc etc. and even thought of getting a new PS Vita. But I discovered the RG353V and saw how it runs emulation through Android. Suddenly it occurred to me that I have a Samsung S10 lying around which I can use (and pair with my PS4 controller). The ultimate best thing with this setup is how RetroArch for Android can let me map my ROM, BIOS, and SAV folders to a network location! So I mapped everything to my NAS and now I pretty much have a retro gaming system in my local cloud.
I can not thank you enough for the past two days I've spent playing Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door for the first time ever on my Note 9. The game is beautiful in HD and plays smooth. My S pen makes ACNL so convenient, I can overlook how annoying not having physical buttons. I can't believe how easy it is on my battery, played for 2 hours and only lost 20%. I can't believe I never thought to look into emulators on my phone 🤦🏾♀️
Unless you have a dedicated Android device specifically for gaming, a point against using my phone (personally) is if I'm gonna play a retro game, I like to enjoy it in a dedicated space without notifications to distract me. But at the same time I don't want to turn off notifications in case I get an important text or something similar. I still wanna have my phone on, just... Over there. So either a dedicated emulation device OR... I prefer my retro games on the original hardware, with maybe some mods thrown in. It's a lot more niche, yes, but the nostalgia factor and the satisfying feeling of popping a cartridge in to play it makes it worth it for me. Actually having the physical game makes me a lot more committed to finishing it, too. (Looking at you, Steam backlog)
I have been using my old One Plus 7 since I upgraded to the 8 and honestly having the full screen for playing Gamecube game flawlessly has been a dream. I have the Funkey S for when I wanna dig away at some PS1 RPGs but the One Plus gets my recommendation.

I fucking love the 3DS for emulation, native GBA and DS are great

I've been emulating on my Android for years. I love it, don't play to many platformers. But I love the ability to basically play whatever I want. Also the kishi has some issues with some emulators, but still the best emulator controller for me.
What app do you have to play the games?
Bob, you're also forgetting you have 8bitdo SNES controllers that you love, that can play the emulators well, only requires you to purchase the phone clip if you dont have it yet. And it gives you acces to the headphone jack.
Yep, I do this with the 8bitdo
SN30 pro 2.
It's not bluetooth, cheaper than Razers, and can fit any phones including larger foldables)
Not only are you eliminating an extra gadget you'd have to carry around in your pocket but you're getting a more premium experience. (bigger screen + 120hz + high pixel density, bluetooth, future emulator compatibility, more controller options, more emulator options, higher quality sound, output video to anything wired/wirelessly, etc.)
As far as set-up goes, I was always more of a put the different emulators in one folder kinda person.
Dude really thought he could say a detailed comment and thought we wouldn’t notice
I get what you mean I myself take more pleasure hacking my consoles and tweaking things than actually playing games after all my tweaking.
So it sounds to me that you enjoy the hardware aspects of emulation more than the actual emulation itself lol
Yeah i don't get why i do this. Smh something wrong with us

This is why I started going for gaming phones. Dolphin ran with zero hitches on my ROG Phone 2 and it runs even better on my ROG Phone 5. I do a good amount of mobile emulating on my phone, and that's a very real argument for buying a gaming phone.
just happened to have my old 3a just chilling in my drawer for years now. This video was perfect for me!
@@theninjamaster67 Launchbox will download all of the box art for you.

That’s what I’m using. My old a20 and it’s working very well. I never will pay 200 for an emulator
I have an old Samsung Galaxy S9 I want to use, but unfortunately don't have a clue where to start. Any hints or tips?

Don't even start about syncing saves among devices with yet another app. I had a great time before my telescopic controller stopped working, hope I find a cheap kishi someday
You're using pretty much my set-up at one point here. I've got a Google Pixel 3 and picked up a Kishi on sale a few months ago for Game Pass stuff, but it's a great set-up for emulation. Super happy with it.
Does it run yuzu
As for what I think about android emulation, I will say this:
Galaxy s10e + Razer Kishi = Amazing emulation up to Nintendo Wii
I mainly play Arcade, SNES, N64, Dreamcast, 3DS, GameCube and Wii on my phone, but it does them all nearly flawlessly.

I'm using a Pixel 4a and I'm loving it! It can handle Dreamcast and Gamecube
The reason why Retroarch doesn’t just give you all cores at once is because of storage space and time. Why have unnecessary cores for consoles you’re not gonna use or have multiple cores of the same system like GBA has a couple of cores, even though they are different have pros and cons with each. Time also because Retroarch at boot up has load each core that was downloaded so if you have all cores, it’ll prob take more than a minute to launch a game which they know you don’t want to wait that long so they opted this way.
bro lemuroid size is 78 MB and can run everything you want there is no reason to retroarch do this
Totally agree that this is probably the best option that's out right now (assuming you already have a phone for it).
But I'm honestly conflicted
given the recent news around Libretro, the team behind RetroArch not being exactly nice to emu devs

"i don't like retroarch"
90% of the portable emulator machines you buy use retroarch, they just don't tell you.
Exactly. Retroarch is the emulation standard.
Retroarch is actually really good, but yeah the phone UI sucks hard, ozone on any other modern device looks much better.
NINTENDO SWITCH KILLER!!! OMG!! BETTER THAN SWITCH????? 😱😱😱
Connect a ps4 controller and you can easily emulate gamecube at 6x native resolution and full speed.
i would rather carry one device, my phone, instead of having to carry two devices.
What are you using for emulation? Would be great to have an Amberic type app that runs everything in there.

This vid is sick, I have newfound hope for a clean looking emulation setup. Thanks for posting it!
Proof that android is superior!
small correction... the USB port on the Kishi is *only* for charging.
Wish I found this video last year. I'm loving this
I bought a Kishi Razer and installed Lemuroid and love it. thanks.
I can't believe I never thought to look into emulators on my phone 🤦🏾♀️
bet you $100 that it would sell well if re released on switch. i bet it would sell well enough that it would be worth nintendo's time to do it.
Came for the gaming tips, stayed for the "Lumin", 11/10 great service.
REAL TALK: That song that you end your videos with. "Tap E Send," by Middleneck. You gotta tell that guy to throw that up on Spotify or at least make it available for download. It is crazy good.
I will never stop asking for this.
I would recommend using either the playstation backbone or the xbox backbone because they both have a charger pass through and a headphone jack
