Installed mine on an07 g35s sedan. I tore out the entire center console as I wasn’t worried since it’s a time attack car. Not only does it shift great, but has become a conversation piece everywhere I go. My inspection mechanic actually called me just to tell me how awesome he thought it was. It takes getting used to but a great product
I was watching a different video of this installed on a 370z and he said he had to get longer bolts on the mounting pad . Even after he removed the oem shifting Assembly. I have a 350z also. Did you have to make the bolts longer?
is there a way you can retain the shift boot so it doesnt look so bare? Same with possibly modifying the factory sound deadening to work with this shifter assembly?
Do you notice any rattling from the shifter in any of the gears? Some people have reported experiencing that. How is the noise compared to stock? Would you recommend it for a daily?
Chingui N no rattling. I would say it would be fine for a daily, but I would add some insulation back and a custom shift boot to help with heat and noise.
Alex Renfro , You know what are the size of the four bolts that are on the block plate? Unfortunately, I didn’t put loctite and after nine months they backed out and lost two.
@@mcallen87 Hey buddy, I don't off of the top of my head. If you lost two, try taking one of the ones you still have into a hardware store to test the thread pitch. Should be fairly easy to match. Worst case, hit up Coolerworx on instagram (they respond fairly quickly), and they should be able to get you specs

This is really cool, can you post a video of the shifting while driving?
Austin Turner I definitely will the next chance I get
Vitamin Z that is exactly what we want to see!
Gear selection movement so we can judge how short movement/throw is would be great 👍
Awesome, I like the functionality of the reverse, similar to v160 or old school ZF for C4 ZR1 Vette. I wonder if this would work for MKIV Supra 🤔?

I didn’t. The bolts provided worked just fine 👌
I thought SOHO discontinued these
They aren't the manufacturer.
Love your build btw. Where did you pick it up?
@@karatejujutsukid8066 I got it directly from Coolerworx. Thanks for the kind words!
2 out of the 4 bolts broke off. Soak them in WD-40 overnight to avoid my problem.
Did u have the issue of when it felt loose when in gear or trying to go into gear? Felt like it has play
Not that I’ve noticed
@@VitaminZ77 I figured it out mines was never Loctite before so I fixed that
Instead of removing the shifting assembly located above the trans is it possible to use longer bolts?
Unfortunately it isn’t. The shifter wouldn’t function without the piece being removed

PureStew750 yes I’ve seen it done but might have to be modified a bit to ensure proper fitment
Can you use a different shift knob or are you stuck with whats offered?
They have lots of options when you order, but unsure about using a different branded knob. The style it comes with is great though

Do you have an ig?
Lowz yes I do. @zora_the_z33
Is this transmission from an 06?
Brand new unit from Z1 I got back in 2013, but yes, typically found in the 2006 models
Blue Loctite not Red.
Dino Maxi negative. Red on the bolts on the underside. You can’t get to them if they come loose after install. Red is what you want on those.
