This is the best video I have seen, awesome. Question: Have you guys figured out what causes the infamous rattle that comes from the shifter area on 370z?
Running this shifter on my 350 and very happy with the purchase. My group of friends drove it and love the feel of it with one going to purchase one for his g35.
Put this on my Skyline V35 this weekend, unfortunately sounds like a tractor with all the rattling coming from the shifter area. It seems that SMF conversions might add too much vibration for this short shifter to work without rattling on acceleration. IThe rattle still happens without the shifter and weight installed, so it's not one of those. Torqued up all the bolts and greased any metal on metal areas (i.e. the adaptor plate), can't get rid of it. Bbeware if you're running an SMF conversion! I will probably need to sell this on at a loss
Yeah so it's not just my particular car either. Amazing feeling shifter, but just too much noise to deal with on a daily. To be honest though, the thing that limits the speed of your shifts in these cars is the clutch delay valve. Maybe GKTech can come up with a delete kit for that horrible thing. @@mathewzimmel

What do you do if you don’t have a press
Using a vice and a rubber mallet, you should find a similar result. Just be cautious as the shock can cause damage.
