@@jasoncrumpet9764 I haven't seen the actual video anywhere but was told by a coworker that she basically jumped around slapping her butt cheeks and making fart noises the entire time and just made a real big mockery of the whole things and break dancing was eliminated all together for the next Olympics. Was told it'll likely be a free parking lot side show or something along those lines.

It’s not bullying to criticize someone’s performance. She had 3 rounds today show her athleticism and performed so utterly poorly that the judges awarded her no points. Then she has the audacity to defend her performance. She chose to compete , but doesn’t want the critique. The Australia Olympic Committee should be ashaamed that they were party to this embarrassment.
The Olympics have become a complete joke anyway. Raygun is a fitting mascot for the clown show.
I didn’t watch her perforamance. Did she do a non customary dance? I’ve seen unique floor routines in gymnastics that don’t score points bc they aren’t the normal moves but they were original and clearly took some practice and training and skill l

HERE ARE THE FACTS: the tryouts were BARELY advertised, on purpose. There are other dancers who came forward saying that. Things were manipulated so that as very few dancers knew about it.
That is why there were only 15 dancers that showed up. Are you not questioning that there are only 15 dancers out of a country of 27Mil showing up at Olympic tryouts??

This was an absolute clown show. I can run the 100 meters in probably 18 seconds; I don’t belong anywhere near an international athletic competition. Neither did she. This wasn’t an inspirational 3rd world walk 3 hours a day to train type of thing, it’s a joke gone too far.
She qualified because someone thought it would be the funniest thing to see and talk about for years to come

Get over yourselves. Remember the Jamaican bobsled team? They had zero chance of winning a medal, but they went anyway. They became an amazing marketing tool for the sport, not just in Jamaica but throughout the Caribbean. And they inspired a funny movie starring John Candy.

Yes! I’ve watched a number of “journalists” laughing on-air about it and only report on the social media backlash and memes. Why don’t they actually look into the failures of the qualification process? I’m dumbfounded by the immaturity of all the reporting. Many Olympic and breakdancing fans aren’t laughing but genuinely upset.

The mainstream acting like its not OK to publicly discuss disliking someone who clearly did a terrible and very controversial job at the olympics is absolutly bonkers. the fact that her partner was not involved in the decision, does not mean that having a partner like that has noting to do with her being selected.
Notice the accusation was that she AND her husband founded and were part of the Australian break dancing committee. Yet everyone who calls that false, including the people in this video, ONLY talk about how SHE didn't found the committee. No one mentions anything about the husband, or tries to claim that he didn't found or doesn't hold a major role in the Australian break dancing committee. They only talk about her. Likely because they know it's true that her husband absolutely is in a position where he was able to heavily influence the results and get her selected.
It's such a joke and the fact that Australia is fighting this just makes them look even more pathetic than Rachel already has lmao.

I walked through Forrest Chase in Perth City, Australia just a few years ago and stopped to watch a breakdancing crew that were absolutely killing it. There was a young girl in the crew,, around the age of 16 who was doing some insane tricks, spinning on her head and breaking just as well as the guys.
There is absolutely NO excuse for the total and utter garbage Australia produced at the Olympics.
Yeah they mentioned some girls were too young. Do they not watch gymnastics? I feel bad for the youth there that actually would have made Australia proud.

B-girl Talash, from the Refugee Olympic team gets disqualified for making a political statement, wearing a blue cape that displayed the words "Free Afghan Women". She actually showed more talent than Raygun, yet this college Professor gets a "Free out of Jail card" and is able to perform continuously with no disqualification because it was an "artistic expression" according to the judges. 🤬
We need a royal commission immediately. Raygun has done millions in damage to Australia's reputation world-wide. The government should launch a civil suit against all offending parties.
People don't hate her, they hate fraud. She failed qualifiers outside of Australia but, somehow managed to qualify in Australia. She is not the best female breakdancer in Australia. She is a terrible dancer and should not have been anywhere near the breakdancing events. Her scores prove my point and I think an investigation into how she got to Paris should take place.
I have recently seen than this is because the Australia qualification has fail. Very short time to enter after have been declared. And for go in, you needed 3 sponsor + 1 valid passeport. And i suppose they take a lot of time. So many have not been able to qualify. Because the qualification sucked.

There is no reason she should be a considered an Olympic Athlete. She isn’t breakdancing at all. She’s doing something else and they feel bad for her. That’s what’s wrong with this world now. How did this routine ever get approved? I don't agree with spreading misinformation or bullying, but someone must be held responsible for allowing this to represent Australia at the Olympic level.

We all know, now, this is the qualification who sucked. The qualification has been declared on a very SHORT time, where you needed 3 sponsor and one passeport for qualify. So literally the majority of Australia has not been able to qualify. I suppose than the time to got your passeport, the qualification has already been done.
in all fairness, folks, it should be clarified about the rules of the competition...dancers- i mean breakers- were to face off and react to opponents dance moves, and also improvise to unknown music that is suddenly thrown at them...the least level of criticism should be that Raybunns was way too academic an athlete to be even moderately inspirational in the moment and instead, unfortunately, turned into an amalgamation of several furry animals...it may never ever again be considered as an olympic sport because it is, for the most part, an art form of a sub-cultural nature ( not like figure skating that relates well to ballet...) For next time, let's canvas the world of Circus for a new addition to the fail-ympics

Irrespective of the allegations, she is still a national embarrassment to Australia. A public apology is the least she should give.

There's NO way that Raygun got anywhere near being actually qualified.
But she did. You can doubt about everything, but the fact remain. She earned the right to participate at these Olympics. She was certainly not the best. Probably the worst in that contest (I didn't watch it all, I didn't really like it tbh). But she was proud to participate and to represent her country in what should have been the highlight of her career, a story she would tell her grandchildren. Instead, an army of frustrated losers came on social media... And now she is a joke. What a world we live in...

My father used to be a breakdancer. Unfortunately, a freak accident occurred when he was attempting a move and he paralyzed himself waist down.
For the last 20 years, he was stuck in a wheelchair and had to watch breaking from the TV. He was complaining how he was better than the dancers they put out. Until he saw Raygun's Olympic performance. Her art moved my father so deeply that he miraculously got up from his wheelchair, walked to the window, and jumped off a 50-story building.
Credit to Raygun for giving my father his legs back.
This was beautiful. Perhaps the only beautiful thing to come from her performance. I applaud your epic dis skills.

@@COHENFAMILY143 Where is that "independently funded" fund coming from? From what I saw it can come from multiple sources, one of which is State/Territory Olympic Councils (isn't that also taxpayers' money), as well as donations.
And tbh, even IF it's completely "independently funded" which has nothing to do taxpayers' money, the fact is that there is still a fund, and that fund has to come from somewhere, AND there is a potential misuse of the fund. It needs to be investigated.
For example if it's coming from the general public's donations, are the people happy with how their donations have been used like this?

Doing it tough. Yeah. She's on a 2-week extended holiday in Europe. We paid to fly her there, and we're paying to fly her back.
The lies are all lies, but it's still sus that someone with such scant athleticism & ability is "the best" in Australia when we see much better breakers everywhere.
In the end, the real problem is that she didn't attempt to COMPETE. By her own admission, she knew she had no chance, so she just set out to be amusing.

As an American looking at this from an Ex B-Boy perspective. Her performance was absolutely degrading to the culture, history, and all the athletes.
Her performance was mocking and disgraceful towards her country, and they should be appalled by it not embracing. If embracing her is in fact they're choice Australia should be barred from ever competing in it again.
Also, since the 2028 LA Olympics are in the here and they're is no confirmed Breaking event to be announced that shows that this might have been set-up to be done on purpose thus sabotaging this sport in future.

Wow. Gaslighting and distraction. We had a young teenage skateboard champ this year but for some reason we couldn't let young people compete in Breakdancing? Academia and far left media running cover for one of their own who got her PHD in "cultural studies" and "movement". This show needs to leave the air.

Raygun´s performance at the Olympics was almost as awful as “Channel 7” TV coverage of the Games, especially the interviews and most of the anchor people.
