As an Ex professional Dancer that is now retired...How Effing Dare She...The reason for Excellence is because some people can and do. Saying 'She was crying in a room because she was in a male dominated sport' is absolute rubbish. We have had incredible female breakers since the '80's (Baby Love et al.) and the men in the sport always championed the female dancers it was never 'Male Dominated' ...for her to disgrace the stage with the other dancers was offensive to them and their dedication and hard work. @@carokat1111 Well in that case there are two options. 1) She really IS the best break dancer in Australia, or 2) the judges don't know their sport and/or are corrupt. I find 1) impossible to believe, so draw your own conclusions. The problem with a slightly subjective "sport" like break dancing is that it is difficult to set a general Olympic Qualifying Standard. In most other sports that is possible, and so countries with no serious level athletes in a given sport don't put in entrants. It does occasionally happen though ...the UK put in Eddie the Eagle for Ski Jumping back in the 1980s, and that was a joke because he could only jump about 1/2 the distance as any other competitor! He was brave though !!!
@@zx7-rr486 I think there were conditions like you had to have a passport already which excluded some people who didn't enter the qualifying event. I know nothing about breakdancing so no idea who else did not enter the competition. Of the candidates who entered the Oceania competition, she was judged best by the nine independent international judges. She may have been a weak entrant but she legitimately entered the Olympics competition. Contrary to online rumours, this was not at the expense of the Australian taxpayer, as per the Australian Olympic Committee statement. The harrassment of Raygun has to stop.
