I’m a yt shorts editor and I actually agree with this the yt shorts tier system is too linear and I try to analyze on a more individual scale per character.
I lost brain cells at a Cal Kestis vs Dooku short when they literally gave Cal the advantage in IQ and in some categories. Even in Disney Canon dumbing down and watering down most of the Jedi and Sith, Dooku is literally one of the strongest force wielders. I like Cal but these shorts are a blight upon YT community.
In the potential case of a Q@A I present some questions here 1: Call me an old man but I remember hearing the discussion of Krayt beating Sidious way back when during the Council Forcecast podcast episode titled “Darth Sidious is not invincible” How has your opinion of these two Sith evolved since that first discussion 2: What is your process for formatting your video scripts and what is your process for researching the powers of each character? 3: Looking back on all of Versus Series Season 7 as a whole. What matchup would you say you are most proud of and what character breakdown are you most proud of? (both can be separate) 4: What wisdom would you provide to any fledgling Versus Series creators who want to follow in your footsteps in making these videos? Thank you for all of the wonderful videos all these years Evan, I wish you the best in life and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
imagine both empires clash (Ge vs 1 sith leigon) I guarantee that the 1 sith would steamroll with thousands of darksiders force crushing and riping storm troopers to shreds at extreme speed and Darth Wyyrlok illusions would make the empire destroy itself fast. Darth Vader might get a few dozen sith killed them he'd be immobilized by 1000 force chokes all together.
@@abstraction6212 I think since Vader is extremely smart he might be able to beat warlock extremely high diff( looking like Vader v momin) but he ain't touching Krayt
@@Badblood226 as for everything else? we've seen how Jedi wipe out armies in micro series tcw, storm troopers and imperial forces have the worst survivability rates as fodder characters like dash rendar, mercenary Kyle Katarn and ewoks outsmarted and destroyed imperial forces like nothing, Starkiller a mid tier dark Jedi and Padawan level Kyle Katarn cleave through like nothing. And your dealing with the 1 sith the only sith order in existence to defeat Abeloth and Luke's NJO after his death putting them leagues beyond Khan's brotherhood or any other sith order in galactic history. They will just choke grind and electrocute imperial forces like nothing. Even a low powered force lightning one shots AT-AT Darth Trooper Phase 3 and star destroyer executor, and the force illusion mind r### the entire empire into insanity infighting or suicide will just make the war easier for the one sith.
Just as another point to Sidious' physical strength, one kick to Savage Oppress was enough to stun Oppress, whereas Obi-Wan in his physical prime needed several kicks just to stagger Oppress.
I don't think that's purely strength. Yes, better technique executed at quick speed leads to much more force, but it is about where you strike. I don't remember how and where Sidious land his kick, but I remember the one Kenobi did. He kicks on Savage's knee from outside in, making his knee cave in and he lost balance, which Kenobi then dashed out and cut forearm. In Muay Thai and Karate (one I learnt), that strike can literally get your knee joint dislocated and even worse, your ligaments ruptured. The previous strikes may not have stroke Savage's knee at the right angle, or he just kicks to build up that torque for the decisive one. Personally, I lean to the former, Kenobi kicks, but first he does not land a powerful stomp like the one you mentioned, and second he hits more directly on Savage's knee cap, not hitting his side.
@@quangtrungbui675If you literally admit you don't even recall the feat being mentioned, why are you talking about like as if you know what you are talking about?
@@papapalps2415 because I only explain the information I'm sure I know what I'm talking and leave the other for someone else. And since I'm also into fist-fighting, I know what I'm getting into and also where I should stop. And I said I did not remember how and where Sidious kicks Savage at the comment's time, not I did not recall it being mentioned. But I remember Kenobi's, so yea, I only described his.
Saying Krayt has better lightning just because Luke elected to dodge a possible lightning attack from him is a bit of a stretch considering the monolithic laundry list of feats attributed to how powerful Sidious' lightning is in comparison to his own. Flash-frying targets to skeletons, having to attain a level of mastery of the power as a prerequisite to learning how to conjure a Force Storm-it'd be more likely that Krayt is comparable to Palpatine in this regard, but putting it above Palpatine's on the basis of Luke wanting to dodge a *possible* lightning attack headed his way from Krayt...that's a bit much.
Wait did he say that? I thought he said the difference between krayt and sidious lightning wasn’t as large as people may think meaning he stil has palps above Tbf Luke not wanting to get hit by an attack and moving is still crazy if it’s used as proof like mmost people tend to avoid things being aimed at them
I think the difference comes in when comparing when he dodged the lightning attack; Jedi Knight Luke who actually begins to be as and even start to surpass his father while Grand Master Luke has surpassed his father and is the strongest Jedi.
Well krayt does have lightning feats he slaughtered an entire ship full of force resistant one with nothing but lightning as well as roasting a large group of rakghouls with one blast and there was probably close to two dozen of them just scorched out of existence. Also let’s not forget he had some much control over lightning that he he engulf people without even shocking them that’s a degree of control sidious never exhibited.
@AndreVeaseyJr the luke Skywalker papaltine faced was already stronger than vader as the return of the jedi novel said vader and luke are both equal dark empire luke Skywalker got alot stronger
Q&A Questions- 1. What is your general opinion on Darth Sidious as a character? 2. Since Jensaarai 1 made a dedicated profile video on Sidious’ martial techniques, have you considered making one on Grand Master Luke Skywalker? 3. Who is your favorite practitioner (confirmed or implied) of Form VI Niman?
1) A fountain of memes. Very entertaining. 2) No? 3) Probably Exar Kun due to his innovations. One of a kind weapon and trakata really makes him a high risk high reward trickster.
1. If he was part of a lantern corps , he'd be an orange lantern. 2. An opposite of sidious, GM Luke Skywalker didn't fall behind his lightsaber skills and continued to improve on them alongside his power in the force. 3. Kao cen darach.
I'd also love to see a round 2 with the Entire galactic empire vs the entire rule of one sith, And I gotta tell ya the one sith having been scaled equal to Luke's NJO especially after Abeloth, Krayts army has a collosal god stomp
@@Wes_Bradley-Taubner And also the fact that he's extremaly overrated by a large portion of the fans, although i tend to belive that old republic era characters tend to be really overrated by the fandome .
Your versus videos are the best in all the social media! Not only do you do deep research for the characters, but you also choose very wisely! Sometimes I might not agree with the winner, but opinions differ. Congratulations for choosing 2 awesome villains, greetings from Greece!
This was so good man. I’ve been watching you since Primary School, and not only is it insane that you’re still going It’s insane that your content has gotten so much better, it’s honestly so cool to see. Thank you for all the memories man, I still remember first seeing the Galen Marek vs Ashoka video which introduced me to you. ^-^
What a pleasant surprise. Haven't watched since I made a new RUclips. Last video I watched was you talking about Kol Skywalker. Good times. Glad I found the channel again
It was such an epic scal annalyse! I was entrance by your video nearly from begining through the end. In my opinion, you done an amazing job! It's a masterpiece !
I’ve been a fan over several years and I’m very happy about this vid it’s good to have you back Evannova95! Also I love this match up it’s my two favorite darksiders besides Malgus and Vader.
@@TinyToraha better idea a rematch with sidious and Krayt but this time it's the one sith vs the entire galactic empire (including the Inquisitors, lumaya and starkiller) And safe to say the One Sith Being on Luke's NJO level would curbstomp the empire effortlessly force waving and destroying a whole bunch of Storm troopers and ATATs and Star destroyers as possible. Vader might get a few dozen of Krayts sith killed but then Hell be embolized by 1000+ force chokes all together. then Krayt uses Darth Transfer then Krayt kills sidious then the remaining empire along with Krayts ROO will bow down to the true emperor.
W video. Idk if i completely agree with the outcome but amazing analysis. As for ideas I mentioned it once but Darth Thanaton vs Inquisitor Jerec just sits right with me for some reason. Glad to see this finally released. Amazing work :)
An interesting matchup: Clash of the Dark Side Scholars. Even though both combatants were primarily Force duelists, Jerec gets the martial edge, though I doubt a fight between these two would be a lightsaber battle. In regards to raw Force power level, I’d say they’re comparable in strength. Ultimately, I think that Thanaton would ultimately win. His Force shields allows him to defend himself against Jerec’s Force Destruction and Thanaton’s lightning is more developed and stronger. As the head of the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge, Thanaton likely familiarized himself with mental techniques to defend against Jerec’s Force Suppression ability, thus keeping his basis covered.
Fun idea, both dark side scholars with force abilities being the deciding factor. In terms of power, Id give an edge to Thanaton. Jerec is comp to Dooku, Thanatos to Malgus. But Jerec is still powerful enough to contend quite well. But consume essence can make up the power difference if Thanatos does full dark side channeling. Jerec has outs to everything Thanaton throws at him. advanced sense abilities + battlemind handles telepathy, tutaminis handles lightning, solid tk barriers for tk. And then Jerec busts out force destruction which Thanatos has no idea how to deal with. His active force shield could guard against it, but im unsure how Thanaton would predict to that in the first place. Add on top of jerec's advantage as a swordsman, and I think Jerec has the odds to pull a win.
Good video but I disagree with the conclusion; Sidious gave too little praise and Krayt too much. Scaling to Luke isn’t really viable because they never fought, not at all, Luke considered dodging his lightning because both of them were definitely exhausted from fighting a god-tier entity. The throne of balance is just another chosen-one-esque style thing, where instead of Anakin being the one to stop Sidious, it’s Luke stopping Krayt. Doesn’t mean they are equal in power. Sidious buries an entire SSD with the force, mind wipes thousands of people, weakens DE Luke with mental attacks alone. How is this not mentioned more, clearly Sidious has the TK advantage, and he could probably affect Krayt to SOME degree with his mental abilities. Sure DE luke outdueled Sidious, but as we know Sidious losing the saber combat doesn’t mean he’s lost the fight, he bested Yoda with the force and most likely could have overwhelmed Mace. He almost BENT the saber back into Mace’s body, stopped, pretended to be weak and then OBLITERATED Mace with the lightning right after. Palpatine takes the edge in lightning for sure, regardless of how many of Krayt’s minions have X feats with lightning; none of them can compare to this really. Krayt’s dueling feats are overhyped, he never fought anyone of Yoda or Mace’s caliber, true Sidious may have lost to them, but he still damn well. DE Sidious is not ROTS sidious, but he’s surely improved his skills in the force and lightsaber combat; Vader never dared to challenge his master for a reason - even if OT Sidious hardly has any saber feats. So pre-prime Sidious is able to compete with Mace and Yoda, completely destroying Talzin in a saber duel when she was shown being able to hold off Mace briefly, but loses martial skill to Krayt? When Krayt has NO showings besides destroying multiple council members - who don’t have many feats themselves. Even if Palpatine “stunned” some of the council members they still got dispatched quickly, with Yoda and Mace being the only real matchups. The force storm not being utilized in direct combat makes sense, but also doesn’t. Yes, Sheev got cut off from the storm, so it destroyed him. But if he wasn't cut off it would have never destroyed him, we see him make multiple, with one of them TELEPORTING organic matter from one side of the galaxy to the next. Realistically if hes able to pop even a lesser one off as a ditch attempt; Krayt is obliterated. Extra: Sidious isn’t that physically weak, he takes a kick from Savage, who is a literal tank shown to body Dooku around multiple times. Extra PT 2: bold of you to assume Krayt would even get close enough to Sidious to utilize dark transfer, and it requires a lot of power. I feel that overall while Krayt is an excellent duelist, Sidious is simply better due to who he’s fought - he’s also not that physically superior to Sidious overwhelmingly - Sidious is definitely faster (once again due to who he has fought). Krayt is inferior in the force in RAW Power, and overall mastery. Sidious has too many feats to lose in a fight, even if he may fail to have a higher mastery at dueling, he cooks Krayt with the force in the end.
never stop making videos Evan! your our hero! You and Connor are our old Ben and Yoda, the last in your generation of Versus Battlers that set the standard!
Q&A: 1.) would you do a revised Sidious vs Vitiate video? We’ve learned so much more about Vitiate since you did your original one and I think your view of Sidious has evolved a great deal. 2.) how would you feel about a Caedus vs Krayt match up? I think they match each other very well. 3.) do you think sidious could’ve matched Krayt’s feats against Abeloth? 4.) do you think that the claims stating “____ is the most powerful Sith Lord” hold any validity? They throw claims like that around non stop. It does a disservice to rely too heavily on them. People think that just because one is further down the Rule of Two line they’re automatically more powerful than earlier ones which is illogical for multiple reasons, one being that later Sith used treachery more often than an actual duel which is what Bane intended, thereby negating one’s inferiority and skirting direct power leveling. Thanks for the video it was absolutely fantastic. I disagree with a couple of the points but overall you make a very compelling argument for Krayt.
- Whines and moans about 'most powerful' quotes; doesn't even know what they mean or anything about them - Unironically thinks Evanova is capable of making a credible or compelling argument Yep, that's a verifiable RUclips Comment Moment TM.
Absolute mastercraft of a video and in my opinion the best verses video I've ever seen on youtube period. Hoping we get Darth Krayt vs Valkorion/ vitiate next
Excellent analysis. Q&A: 1. In your vid discussing Sith Lords that didn’t use red lightsabers, jensaarai bought up a theory of the trophy blades used by Sidious in Dark Empire that they’re the blades of Agen Kolar, Saesee Tiin, and Kit Fisto. Do you believe that theory is true or no? 2. A Star Wars character I feel is very underrepresented in the versus community is Darth Traya. What are your thoughts on Darth Traya as a character? If you ever decided to feature her in a match, who would you put her up against? 3. This is in reference to your Ahsoka vs Galen Marek vid from a while ago. Would you say your opinion on the outcome of that match has changed over years given how much development Ahsoka has had (Tales of the Jedi, Clone Wars Season 7, Rebels, and Ahsoka Season 1)?
Almost all of Ahsoka’s development and appearances that you are thinking of are Disney canon only and he use’s legends. Thus it would not apply to legends as it never happened in this continuity.
@@flipout216also even then if we use legends cosmology for canon, Ahsoka still isn’t strong enough. She lasts longer against marek but still gets hammered to oblivion because of his massive advantage as a force wielder. The new stuff only gave her minor improvements, such as being more niman oriented than Ataru, active force shields and a level of ability with tutaminis though not on the level of lightning. Marek still holds the advantage in all areas. He does everything she does, and then a bunch more
41:09 Again Vastor does not scale to ROTS Anakin. The Anakin in that novel is literally ATOC anakin who gets utterly obliterated by his rots counterpart. That is like scaling a literal child to a full grown adult numerous sources state Anakin's ATOC power was vastly surpassed by Anakin a few months into the war to the point he is basically a completely different person. Kar Vastor does not scale to rots Anakin the difference is so vast its ridiculous
Then, I’d put my credits on Bane. He may be roughly a decade older than Malak, he’s easily physically stronger and tougher and can match his speed and reflexes. Malak’s one-handed Juyo leaves him vulnerable to counterattacks, something Bane’s Forms V and III could capitalize on. Bane’s TK and Force lightning are far more devastating and if Malak attempts to use Force stun, Bane can muscle through it
Holy Crap, now that's a match up of the century. Easily my most anticipated Star Wars Versus matchup since Antoine's Yoda vs Luke Skywalker. Q&A Question- I only now wonder how either combatant could deal with someone like Darth Caedus ? My versus idea for next season would be Satele Shan vs Revan (great granddaughter vs grandfather ) Mara Jade Skywalker Vs Galen Marek ( Sith Assassins for general combat) Shaak Tii vs Darth Malak (Form 2&4 masters)
Here are my questions for if you do a Q&A for this: 1. Would you ever consider doing a verses with Ben Skywalker? Out of all the Skywalker descendants, he's is the least explored when it comes to fighting skills 2. Would you ever consider doing a video about how Disney broke the Force? I'm not sure if such a video topic is your style or not, but its something to consider. 3. What are your thoughts on the fan theory that Galen Marek and the Starkiller Clone are one in the same? As in Galen survived and was simply tricked into thinking he was clone.
@@yrooxrksvi7142honestly, Sabine was a much better character when she was just a regular mandalorian. They completely ruined and butchered her, and this retcon makes no sense because it also destroys Rebels as a show because why didn’t kanan sense her force sensitivity when he was able to sense Ezra and even fucking Vader. But then again, this is Disney. Of course they don’t have to make sense They should’ve instead built up on the first mandalorian Jedi wielding the dark saber and have some distant descendant mandalorian finding his or her way in the galaxy after the Empire.
Q and A In your opinion who win between Darth Kraty and Darth Cadeus? Two if instead of a fight what do you think Darth Kraty and Darth Cadeus would think of each other and their plans if they had a actual conversation with each other. Finally, three do you think Darth Kraty waited hundreds of years after Luke died or began his plans? I don't think Kraty was necessarily scared of Luke or his order but was generally wary of him and knew Luke order was still in its prime with powerful memories like Kyle Katarn and Jaina solo. I don't think it makes Kraty a coward, and if anything was a good intelligent feat to wait, for the biggest threat to his plans to die of old age then strike when the time was right with his forces. What do you think?
I do recall making this suggestion years ago. Though I know it wasn't just a request on my end, I'm so glad I finally got to see the match up I've been wanting for such a long time. Thanks again for this, Evan. I cant imagine the massive undertaking it took to make thisbpossible. Nevertheless, every second of it was amazing. Can't wait to see your future projects. Stay safe and May the Force be with you.
oh shoot ive been looking forward to this i always listen to your stuff at night when im trying to sleep helps quiet the adhd racing mind this is going to be legend tier
Kenobi's a better duelist than Katarn and his sorrsu can deflect every single ammunition Kyle had in his games, tho with Force Katarn has the edge. Katarn wins high diff but one slip up then Kenobi wins.
Damn, I felt the disturbance in the force - but this is a legendary present after a day in the office. I mean what can even top this match up? A three-way battle between those to plus Vitiate? Amazing as always, man!
Firstly love your stuff Evan been watching you for years keep up the good work Secondly how dare you make a 2 1/2 hour video making me drop everything I’m doing to watch this amazing video and reminding me on why Krayt is my favorite emperor lol
Great video, Evan! Everything that I had expected and more! A couple of questions: 1. Would you ever consider bringing in a more unorthodox character like Darth Nihlus, for example? If so, who would you consider pitting him against? If not, would you do a discussion video about the particulars of his power set and scaling? 2. A follow-up, do you think that it is possible for ordinary force users to resist Nihlus’s drain abilities, or would it require an exceptionally powerful force user to resist? Or do you think that there is no one, with the exception of Meetra Surik, who can even stand up for long enough to kill him? 3. I remember in season 6 that you did a huge team battle. Would that be something that you would consider doing again, or is that something that is not really under consideration? Also, I was going to ask about Palpatine and Krayt, but you seemingly could sense my intentions and curiosity on the subject. A true Jedi master.
Evan and his friends already said in the past why they don't make versus battles with Nihilus. He is the ultimate manifestation of feast or famine... both figuratively and metaphorically. He either one shots you and drains you, or he is overpowered or negated in the case of the exile. Basically a matchup entirely decided by power levels the first few minutes.
Funny thing is… I LITERALLY just thought of a matchup between these two literally YESTERDAY!!!!!! Haven’t even watched the video yet but had to say this
Something everyone seems to miss: in the DE comic, Sidious tells Luke that his death onboard the Death Star wasn't even his first. I wonder if some of those assassination "attempts" we saw in things like the DV comics were actually successful.
Awsome. Ive been waiting for a Sidious versus ever since your Sidious vs Vitiate. Been a long time but hey, time goes by, we get older, our lives change and sometimes our passion projects give way to making sure our personal lives are kept in order at least if you take words like responsibility seriously. I know it would be a lot but what do think of Padawan Obi Wan Kenobi and Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi versus Teneb Kel and Darth Thanaton?
This was an amazing match up, and one I have wanted to see for years. I am happy with the outcome of the fight, both emperors gave it their all but in the end only one of them could walk away alive. I could not wait to get home from work and watch this on my tv. Given that Darth Sidious had several trophy lightsabers from Jedi he has killed and that we have seen him dual wield in TCW, how likely would it be to see him pick up a second lightsaber and use Jar’Kai against Darth Krayt’s own use of the style?
Great vid man. Looking at the Palpatine clones, them being unstable made me think Palpatine should have gotten nano droids and programmed them to reinforce and stabilize the body, perhaps even create artificial midichlorians to enhance his clone’s power over the force. Same thing goes for Krayt. If he had those nano droids and a tank of bacta, he might have achieved restoration and resistance to degradation, making him capable of diving deeper in the darkside, as well as sidious, with less damage to themselves.
Oh dayum i’ve waited 10 years for this! And it will have to wait until tomorrow as 2+ hrs is one hell of a demand😂😂 looking forward though, thankyou Evan
Only just started the video, but this going to be an absolute banger!! Bets on Krayt though, I’ll get back to this comment after the video. (post video) Yeah i had a feeling this was in Krayts favor, but damn it really is a bit of a stomp. Absolute banger once again from the best Star wars youtuber around! Looking forward to season 8!
Hett is one of my favourite characters of all Star Wars, though, not as his sith version, but as a Tusken/Jedi, a completely unique individual in the galaxy, having survived order 66 and returned to his old home with the people he cared for and pretty much turned himself into a freedom figther for Tattoine. He was so cool. Also, Obiwan really has to stop cutting the limbs of his opponents and leaving them to die, Which is even more cruel than finishing them.
Great ending to Season 7! Now, I have another battle recommendation: Darth Caedus versus Darth Krayt. The Dark Man, versus The Heir of Vader. Edit: Now, for my Q and A questions: First, you said at 1:27:50-1:28:01 that Sidious was the closest instance of a mortal dark sider becoming a Force entity. What about Darth Nihlius? He was once a mortal being (Perhaps even a Jedi) before Malachor V, then he became a wound in The Force that was more entity than man. Does that mean Sidious was almost becoming another Darth Nihlius in that sense (Minus the whole "Devouring worlds of all life" thing)? In fact, could you say that Dark Empire Sidious HAD achieved some Nihlius-like abilities considering what his dark side powers, and presence did to anyone who inhabited Byss? All those loyal Imperials that went to Byss, and got corrupted into mindless slaves by the dark energies of the planet, much like what the crew of The Ravager in KOTOR 2 became in Darth Nihlius' constant presence? Second question: What is your opinion on some of The Star Wars fan films that have come out over the years, such as Legacy of The Force by The RUclips Channel "Fan Film", and The Battle of The Heroes in Clone Wars animated style by "Hello There Productions", and other fan films? Do you ever wish to make a fan film yourself? What would it be about? Star Wars? Another fictional universe? Perhaps a crossover between the two? Third question: You say at 1:34:55-1:35:06 that Palpatine was the singular force behind The Imperials' successes at Endor, until he died. I thought he had a Force-Sensitive Grand Admiral doing that in his place, while he focused on Luke, and Vader on The Death Star II? One that he personally trained to use battle meditation, and also died with The Emperor on The Death Star II when it blew up?
Roan Fel Vs Tholme seems like a great match up, two middle aged master warriors who used pragmatism and intellect as much as developed skill and force power.
I feel like It’s pretty universally stated by most material that Sidious is the most powerful sith to ever live, however by the scaling logic, would that make Krayt the most powerful Sith Lord in the Star Wars universe period?
Q/A Questions and Criticism: Half way through. Whilst I love the video so far, The idea of scaling Krayts's LIGHTSABER combat to the Abeloth fight when he didn't even have a lightsaber is ridiculous. Hand to Hand Martial Arts ability? of course. But that has nothing to do with lightsaber ability. Seriously: What does throwing a mean Right Hook have to do with fencing. Especially against a weakened opponent who is literally getting double teamed. Edit 2: We really gonna give Krayt that "lightsaber feat" but you won't mention literally every Jedi to ever live was needed to suppress Palpatine from respawning? 2:16:14 See this is my big issue with this whole thing. Evan doesn't have the feats so he just cross scale abilities which is utterly ridiculous. "Strongest of [Blank]" only supports a general title of strongest, you can't just plug it in for non-existing feats Edit 4: So Evan takes Palpatine's necromancy (even tho a "neutral planet" still should have graves somewhere), he doesn't get midichlorian manipulation, he doesn't literally get his respawns which is apart of his kit. But Krayt get's to be turbo wanked off tag teaming a super weak Abeloth to the point somehow his lightsabers scale in a fist fight. . . . sure. 2:19:30 Again. Sidious had to be restrained by EVERY Jedi to ever live. . . Gee I wonder who wins the force transfer duel between the two. 2:22:25 That's just blatantly a misrepresentation. Your own panels show Sidious was literally CUT OFF from the Force. So of course he would be destroyed by the storm. How does that even apply to this fight Conclusion: I am highly disappointed. Having watched the entire video, repeatedly I've seen the least charitable opinions possible for Sidious, whilst on the other end Krayt receiving a ridiculous amount of charitable interpretations. I firmly believe that without that nonsense Abeloth lightsaber scale (when literally no one there had a lightsaber), and actually giving Sidious the Force Storm (as he isn't force severed) then Krayt would be forced to lose. Oh and Sidious is always going to win with having basically the greatest force transfer argument in the verse.
Force Storm isn't an ability that can really be used in a duel. Its not that precise, its TOO large scale. Also, while your argument about Krayt's Abeloth fight not scaling to his lightsaber technique seems sound on the surface, Krayt uses hand-to-hand combat in his lightsaber fights all the time and the levels of physical enhancement obviously still apply, as does any skill with general combat skills such as distance, timing, and reading your opponent's incoming attacks. On top of that, Sidious's lightsaber skills likely atrophied (at the very least they didn't grow) between RotS and DE (unless you think that DE Luke was an equal or superior duelist to Mace and Yoda), which in my mind makes Krayt's superiority over him in lightsaber combat evident. But, I do agree with you that Sidious would win an Essence Transfer duel between the two of them due to more familiarity with the technique if nothing else. That "All the Jedi to have every lived will hold him back" is really telling. So while I think Krayt would win the fight, it is probably that Sidious could win the war by stealing his body.
@@wanderingshade8383 Whilst I’m glad we can agree with certain things. On that Hand to Hand thing. It still doesn’t tell you how good of. A duelist you are, punching a horror monster and actually wielding a sword are not the same skill and those skills do not transfer on a 1 - 1 level. This is coming from someone who’s done fencing and martial arts for the better part of a decade.
@@tnntaronewsnetwork4514 They certainly do not transfer 1-1, yes. I agree. Some baseline fundamentals do transfer over, but its not much. I've also done some fencing and martial arts, so I also know what I'm talking about, though admittedly I haven't done both at the same time and not for most of a decade either. Regardless, I think Krayt's showings even discounting his Abeloth feat show him as a superior duelist to ol' Palpy, when looking at Sidious in DE anyway. In RotS...maybe not. Maybe.
I find the Krayt scaling to Luke based on the Beyond Shadows fight questionable in general. -Beyond Shadows isn’t the same as a normal fight, so the mechanics of the entire thing are murky, not directly transferable to a real world fight -Luke was the one mainly fighting Abeloth, whereas Krayt played a supportive role in that fight, attacking “from the side” and with Luke’s support in pinning her, etc. Krayt never took her on directly or alone like Luke has multiple times. It’s hard to say definitively that Palpatine, Yoda or KFV Vader wouldn’t do as well or even better than Krayt in the same Beyond Shadows situations. -Luke was exhausted after near constant encounters with Abeloth and the Sith in the real world, Krayt was fresh -Beyond Shadows also contained a Dark Side Nexus, arguably benefitting Krayt Krayt is strong, but his showings against someone like Cade Skywalker/Wyyrlok IMO don’t seem to scale to Palpatine level, and the Beyond Shadows fight doesn’t prove much in a clear way IMO. Also, Storm may not be a precision ability but Palpatine has much more versatility than Krayt even by Evan’s own admission, so it wouldn’t be that hard for him to use some powers to get some distance from Krayt and pull off a force storm IMO. Though I personally don’t think he needs it. His lightsaber showings are comparable if not better than Krayt’s IMO (he clapped early DE Luke in seconds who was already stated to be at the level of any previous Jedi, Cade has no such scalings, late DE Luke was arguably amped and even then couldn’t resist his force powers alone) and same for his force powers.
The Strongest Sith in History versus The Dragon of the Sith (that title goes so hard) Palpatine: "If he got rid of his Yuuzhan Vong armor and regained all of his power, it would be a bit difficult" "Would you lose?" Palpatine: "Nah, I'd win" He would, in fact, not win 💀
At long last, Sidious has met his match. Excellent work, even if the length is a bit much for even a versus video (was still definitely worth the wait)! On a slightly unrelated note, have you ever considered doing the occasional crossover versus? I understand that a TON more research would be required for something like that, but perhaps that could be counteracted by utilizing the character from another IP in a mini-marathon akin to what you did with Darth Malgus this season? Example: Isabelle Arrington from SapphireFoxx Isabelle Arrington vs. Dark Empire Luke Skywalker Isabelle Arrington vs Adult Ahsoka Tano Isabelle Arrington vs. Anakin Solo
@@user-lp8im7ow8s Isabelle Arrington is a powerful sorceress and one of the main characters of the Main SapphireFoxx Universe/Canon SapphireFoxx timeline. In terms of power, she has some major feats under her belt even prior to her prime, partially thanks to her training under Alistair. In terms of telepathy, Isabelle has used using Mass Memory Alter on over 2,000 people across the globe simultaneously. As for telekinesis, she has been seen levitating a 747 jumbo jet, as well as morphing chunks of asphalt pavement into a pair of floating hands, both more impressive than anything Dark Empire Luke has achieved in this field. That's not to mention Isabelle's insane teleportation capabilities, being part of the Sapphire bloodline.
The virgin RUclips shorts power scaling vs the chad feature film length hypothetical matchup discussion
Yo 😂
I can't stand those smfh. So lazy
Fair I just like editing them and yeah they are to linear but it’s hard to put all of that in a minute
What the fuck! Some of my favorite Sith Lords in a 2 hour matchup? My god this must be a gift from the force itself.
You said it, man.😅😊

A surprise, to be sure…but a welcome one.
In the potential case of a Q@A I present some questions here
1: Call me an old man but I remember hearing the discussion of Krayt beating Sidious way back when during the Council Forcecast podcast episode titled “Darth Sidious is not invincible” How has your opinion of these two Sith evolved since that first discussion
2: What is your process for formatting your video scripts and what is your process for researching the powers of each character?
3: Looking back on all of Versus Series Season 7 as a whole. What matchup would you say you are most proud of and what character breakdown are you most proud of? (both can be separate)
4: What wisdom would you provide to any fledgling Versus Series creators who want to follow in your footsteps in making these videos?
Thank you for all of the wonderful videos all these years Evan, I wish you the best in life and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
The Emperor of the Galactic Empire vs the leader of the One Sith. This would be one hell of an interesting match up.
imagine both empires clash (Ge vs 1 sith leigon) I guarantee that the 1 sith would steamroll with thousands of darksiders force crushing and riping storm troopers to shreds at extreme speed and Darth Wyyrlok illusions would make the empire destroy itself fast.
To quote The Count himself, "I've been looking forward to this".
Never underestimate force speed, or just dark side empowerment in general lol.
@@quangtrungbui675If you literally admit you don't even recall the feat being mentioned, why are you talking about like as if you know what you are talking about?

He and Jensaarai have never stopped
I thought he said the difference between krayt and sidious lightning wasn’t as large as people may think meaning he stil has palps above
Tbf Luke not wanting to get hit by an attack and moving is still crazy if it’s used as proof like mmost people tend to avoid things being aimed at them
it’s around 2:05:00

@@TinyToraha better idea a rematch with sidious and Krayt but this time it's the one sith vs the entire galactic empire (including the Inquisitors, lumaya and starkiller)
And safe to say the One Sith Being on Luke's NJO level would curbstomp the empire effortlessly force waving and destroying a whole bunch of Storm troopers and ATATs and Star destroyers as possible.
Well said my friend, well said.
Evan!! Great to see you back, I cannot wait to listen to this new installment
This is a dream Match up🔥
Good video but I disagree with the conclusion; Sidious gave too little praise and Krayt too much.

Holy shit i just realized ive been subscribed to you for almost 10 years.
Q&A:
1.) would you do a revised Sidious vs Vitiate video?
- Whines and moans about 'most powerful' quotes; doesn't even know what they mean or anything about them
- Unironically thinks Evanova is capable of making a credible or compelling argument
Yep, that's a verifiable RUclips Comment Moment TM.
I was not expecting this one
Absolute mastercraft of a video and in my opinion the best verses video I've ever seen on youtube period. Hoping we get Darth Krayt vs Valkorion/ vitiate next
Excellent analysis. Q&A:
Can you do Darth Bane vs Darth Malak?
Path of Destruction Bane or Dynasty of Evil Bane?
@@darylsdesigns6679 DOE
Then, I’d put my credits on Bane. He may be roughly a decade older than Malak, he’s easily physically stronger and tougher and can match his speed and reflexes. Malak’s one-handed Juyo leaves him vulnerable to counterattacks, something Bane’s Forms V and III could capitalize on. Bane’s TK and Force lightning are far more devastating and if Malak attempts to use Force stun, Bane can muscle through it

Q&A Question-
I only now wonder how either combatant could deal with someone like Darth Caedus ?

Mara Jade Skywalker Vs Galen Marek ( Sith Assassins for general combat)
Shaak Tii vs Darth Malak (Form 2&4 masters)

Here are my questions for if you do a Q&A for this:
1. Would you ever consider doing a verses with Ben Skywalker? Out of all the Skywalker descendants, he's is the least explored when it comes to fighting skills
And how exactly did Disney break the Force?
@@lativ3715How ??? By making virtually everyone capable of using it, disregarding training or attitude. Look no further than Rey or Sabine ffs
@@yrooxrksvi7142 Exactly
@@yrooxrksvi7142honestly, Sabine was a much better character when she was just a regular mandalorian. They completely ruined and butchered her, and this retcon makes no sense because it also destroys Rebels as a show because why didn’t kanan sense her force sensitivity when he was able to sense Ezra and even fucking Vader. But then again, this is Disney. Of course they don’t have to make sense
They should’ve instead built up on the first mandalorian Jedi wielding the dark saber and have some distant descendant mandalorian finding his or her way in the galaxy after the Empire.
Q and A
In your opinion who win between Darth Kraty and Darth Cadeus?
Great video, Evan! Everything that I had expected and more!
A couple of questions:
Sidious vs Krayt has to be the ultimate mashup
Thank you for all the hard work here, amazing video!!
Funny thing is… I LITERALLY just thought of a matchup between these two literally YESTERDAY!!!!!! Haven’t even watched the video yet but had to say this
Would like to see Caedus vs Krayt as I think they are the two most powerful Sith Lords in history and cannot decide who is more powerful.
Time for this then Takes if the Jedi. Thank you, Evan!

What a treat, a 2 hour feast of some of the coolest Sith Lords to ever Sith going at it in a brawl at their respective peaks.
Yeah Obi-Wan has a bad habit of cutting off limbs and causing that person to become a significant nuisance to the galaxy later on doesn’t he 😂
Great ending to Season 7!
This is where the fun begins.
Roan Fel Vs Tholme seems like a great match up, two middle aged master warriors who used pragmatism and intellect as much as developed skill and force power.
I would like to point out Vader beat Celeste morne while holding back as he legit said he did not want to kill her and immeadeately disarmed her
I feel like It’s pretty universally stated by most material that Sidious is the most powerful sith to ever live, however by the scaling logic, would that make Krayt the most powerful Sith Lord in the Star Wars universe period?
That was a fun listen. Yeah I have to agree with your outcome on this matchup. Good stuff! 👍
YEEAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE
Q/A Questions and Criticism:
Half way through.
"Strongest of [Blank]" only supports a general title of strongest, you can't just plug it in for non-existing feats
Edit 4: So Evan takes Palpatine's necromancy (even tho a "neutral planet" still should have graves somewhere), he doesn't get midichlorian manipulation, he doesn't literally get his respawns which is apart of his kit.
How does that even apply to this fight
Conclusion: I am highly disappointed.
Wow. Thanks. Made me resign from watching the video and wasting 2 hours of my time!
-Beyond Shadows isn’t the same as a normal fight, so the mechanics of the entire thing are murky, not directly transferable to a real world fight
-Luke was the one mainly fighting Abeloth, whereas Krayt played a supportive role in that fight, attacking “from the side” and with Luke’s support in pinning her, etc. Krayt never took her on directly or alone like Luke has multiple times. It’s hard to say definitively that Palpatine, Yoda or KFV Vader wouldn’t do as well or even better than Krayt in the same Beyond Shadows situations.
-Luke was exhausted after near constant encounters with Abeloth and the Sith in the real world, Krayt was fresh
-Beyond Shadows also contained a Dark Side Nexus, arguably benefitting Krayt
Krayt is strong, but his showings against someone like Cade Skywalker/Wyyrlok IMO don’t seem to scale to Palpatine level, and the Beyond Shadows fight doesn’t prove much in a clear way IMO.
The Strongest Sith in History versus The Dragon of the Sith (that title goes so hard)
Palpatine: "If he got rid of his Yuuzhan Vong armor and regained all of his power, it would be a bit difficult"
"Would you lose?"
Palpatine: "Nah, I'd win"
He would, in fact, not win 💀
At long last, Sidious has met his match. Excellent work, even if the length is a bit much for even a versus video (was still definitely worth the wait)!
On a slightly unrelated note, have you ever considered doing the occasional crossover versus? I understand that a TON more research would be required for something like that, but perhaps that could be counteracted by utilizing the character from another IP in a mini-marathon akin to what you did with Darth Malgus this season?
Example: Isabelle Arrington from SapphireFoxx
Isabelle Arrington vs. Dark Empire Luke Skywalker
Isabelle Arrington vs Adult Ahsoka Tano
Isabelle Arrington vs. Anakin Solo
Who's Isabelle Arrington ? And how powerful is she for you to think it's a fair comparison to put him at the level of the people your comparing her to
@@user-lp8im7ow8s Isabelle Arrington is a powerful sorceress and one of the main characters of the Main SapphireFoxx Universe/Canon SapphireFoxx timeline.
