You have superhuman problem solving skills bro! That’s bracket is crazy! Such a great tool to have for any custom bike builder being able to design and make parts from home! Keep it up! 💪🏼👌🏻
very good! i remember getting my first 3d printer, putting it together and feeling proud to have made one of those silly boats. now i own multiple printers, have a side job doing prints for people and work for an additive manufacturing facility. it is a fantastic tool
It's crazy how things can develop in life. It's such a challenge at first but the first working print instantly makes all the struggle worth it. What type of prints do you make as your side job? And do you also design the parts or do they have the files already?
@@MotoWrenchers i design my own and print other peoples models. anything people want me to make, i can make. i have a special setup that allows me to print ABS and ASA, which are much tougher than PLA
also, most 3D printer filament is not UV resistant, so any 3D printed parts being put in a place where it'll be in the sun need to have a layer of clear coat. This will stop it from degrading in the sun, just like what you would do with plastic headlight lenses.
Hi Josh, great to see you back! Your enthusiasm and tenacity (stubbornness😂?) is, as always, an inspiration: threeD printing - wow, it’s a Brave New World for bike builders, eh - especially for ‘us old-timers’😂. Great to watch (even if I only understood the un-boxing part😂) but seriously, you-de-man! Looking forward to more vids reg the beemer project. All best wishes for the New Year dude. Keep ‘em rolling out buddy. ❤️
Hi James! I hope you had a great new year's eve. Thank you for your kind messages 🙏 I'm happy that my tenacity is well received 😅 I'll keep working (stubbornly 😂) on the beemer and share the process. I hope that at some point all the learning pays off and things start falling into place, at least kind off 😄 I wish you all the best for the new year ❤️
Hi Joshua, it's always great to see how much pioneering spirit you put into such projects.... 🙏🏻👍🏻👏🏻 Do you happen to know whether this material can withstand brake fluid in the long term?
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. I don't think that PLA could withstand brake fluid long term but I might be wrong. I definitely wanted to be on the safe side, so I built the brake fluid reservoir bracket from metal.
Hey Josh, Great to see you back online. I am both impressed and disappointed; I really thought I was up for a bargain box of unfinished BMW parts...but, no there you go again, solving problems, making progress, achieving stuff! It's just not right! Impressive, but kind of disappointing at the same time😁
Hi Rich, hope you're doing well. Sorry to disappoint you...again. at some point the box of parts will roll out of the shed. Thanks for your kind words. Chipping away slowly :) Now that the Master's done hopefully a bit more consistent 😄
It's awesome how you dive into things without knowing what you're doing. That's exciting and what life is all about!
Hi Lou, it's good hearing from you! Thanks a lot for your comment. You're absolutely right.
How is your R100 doing?

Thanks for the tip, I would not have known that! Did you find a clear coat that you would recommend?
@@MotoWrenchers most clear coats should be UV resistant. it should say on the can
Alright, cheers buddy 💪

@@MotoWrenchersThanks for the answer Joshua. I'll do a test then. I've already learned how to protect PLA from UV rays from the comments...👍🏻
Mega klasse Video 🔝😊👌🏻
Moin Peter, schön dich auch hier zu sehen. Vielen Dank! Freut mich, dass es dir gefallen hat.
