      Yeeeah, Michael! Thanks my friend, it's much appreciated. This was my main goal, to make the wiring look very nice and be highly functional. I tried to look for the best things I could afford and it definitely pays off. It makes the process and the finished product so much nicer.

    Nothing beats the feeling of having your build fire up! 💥 Wire and connections looks awesome! Did you ever figure out what happened to your first battery? Is it dead? Have you tried reviving it?

    • @MotoWrenchers
      @MotoWrenchers  3 месяца назад +2

      Yeah, it's amazing. Especially, when it sounds nice! Regarding the battery...I tried to revive it and checked the fuse. But reviving didn't work, even though the fuse is okay. So, I'll contact Ultrabatt again to check what can be done. Hopefully, it can be saved.

      @@MotoWrenchers I hope you can revive it! 🤞

      @HeavyMetalParkingSpot I’m going to send it to them for a check and they’ll see what needs to be repaired/replaced.

    Well done Josh! Defo sharing your joy at first start up; it’s the reward for all your hard work (also sharing your discomfort with hay fever!😒). Congratulations anyway - looking forward to more - final finishing? Hooray! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

      BTW: those exhausts are gorgeous and sound great, where did you get them again? I recently bought “mega blacks” (or some such) from Flatracer…. Hope mine sound this good.. well done dude. 🤘🤘🤘

      Thank you Jim! I’m so happy it fired right up and sounds so good. It was still a mystery to me until now how the new exhaust would sound. I’m very pleased with it.
      And man, hay fever is the worst. Sorry you have to go through it as well. What I found works wonders for me is Mometa Hexal. It’s a nasal spray which saves my days. Otherwise it feels like someone pulled my plug, 0 energy.
      Now it onto the rest of the wiring. Have battled with the mo.Button for a while but fortunately the handlebar controls and bar end indicators are almost finished now 🤘🤘

      Hi Peter, thanks for the kind works. I unfortunately never heard back from the Bike Shed. I’ve talked to some people who heard back already a few weeks ago. Would have been a very cool event but now I’m focusing on getting the bike done in one go (the show would have changed the build sequence quite a bit, now I’m doing then engine when the rest gets powder coated). I guess I have to wait till the next show :)

      Absolutely exhilarating. I was actually quite nervous before the first start. It’s such a relief that it fired right up…and that it sounds so good. First time hearing the exhaust after three years.

    Hi.
    I’m still following your build, very interesting and informative.
    I have a question.....
    I’m at this exact same part of my r80 build.
    With the vape and m unit blue.
    I’m stuck on 1 wire.. I have an extra wire on the regulator unit green/red.
    I have no idea where this connects.
    Would you know?
    Cheers Karl

    • @MotoWrenchers
      @MotoWrenchers  2 месяца назад

      Hi Karl, thanks for still being part of the journey. Cool, that we’re in the same stage. If you have a red/green wire, then I suppose you’re running a lead-acid battery, correct? That one connects to the charge control light (you can find more information on page 9 of their manual, which you can find on the product page on their website). Which type of bulb are you using for the charging light?
      Cheers buddy! - Joshua
