The Diamond Head cover band. Oh, and two OGs hehe. It is actually refreshing to hear Dave playing a different kind of solo instead of the 1000 notes per beat he usually does.
Man this base player Ron McGovney is a beast..All thanks to Lars and Hetfield and the way they are for falling ouit with the rest this original lione up ceased to exist
Have you heard and justice for all??? I teach drums and guitar and have for 20 years, that album is some of the most technically advanced drumming EVER ! Especially for the time. Lars is awesome!
@@andysalter7192 I love his parts on that record too but they haven't been complete performances since Kill Em All. Lars even thanks his editor (!) in his 1987 Modern Drummer interview.
Wow! Ron's Bass really sets a solid foundation to solo over! Fantastic Bass sound for an old analog demo!
👍😉
He was also the grown-up in the band until Cliff took over.
@@rebusd then cliff became the grown up
@@rebusdwouldn’t have been Dave since he was the oldest
@@phantom_wolf5274 That may be true, but in the context I’m thinking, Cliff had leadership
@@rebusd oh ok
Seems like Ron was the most advanced player on this tape
at the time he was....
Also the most mature and sober, and therefore not a good fit lol. His 1993 interview is awesome; think Newsted without the chops
What every metal head was doing in 1982, playing Rock Star in they're friends garage on Saturday night 🤟🏼🇺🇸🦅💪🏽
Geeze- I was always under the impression Ron couldn’t play-
I like how Mustaine kinda remixed the solo a little to his own
1982 : Don't know about the others but we gotta get that Mustaine fella out of this shit. He's got IT!
That’s not why they fired him…
Love this old footage, keep it up

both Dimond head and Metallica!\m/fucking burns!!!

then they got cliff who was 10000x the player
Mustaine plays pretty good
Plays damn good. Since he's the only one playing one here.
Duhhhh
Is this Dave Mustaine singing?
Dave never sung for metallica
This early james
Yeah no singing, but it's when James couldn't play a guitar.
It says up there in the video who was on vocals.
@@who0icu812 he could play guitar, I don't know why he didn't for the band at first.
Fuck it. Call me crazy but i think Mcgovney was better than newstead
Pffft. Just some punk kids goofing off in mom's garage. They'll never amount to anything, mark my words.
Lars isn’t even the best drummer in Metallica
He is.
James kicks his ass on drums!
@@shaunstephen9761 not really, he is like a guy who plays every now and then for fun , which is exactly what he is !

Lars has always sucked
Better that youll ever be lol
No he didn't
So true!
Hey, douchebag! Get off the hate Lars bandwagon! Lars is killing it here!!
100% agree as far as metal drummers go hes terrible, and ya he's better than me but that ain't saying much I don't even play
