Dope review bro! Thanks, I’ve had my T-Outliner for 14 years and it’s still working strong. Was looking to go to the II but after your review I’ll just get a new blade and keep on trimming. Thanks again!
Thanks for watching and taking the time to drop a comment! For sure keep using what works best for you. If you're comfortable with the T outliner it's probably best to keep it going. That one covers more surface area and I know many people like that one best. I started with the II and I am used to that one so just like you would continue using the T, I would also continue using the II. Both of them will get the job done regardless. These trimmers are heavy duty and are workhorses. You'll be good for many more years to come! Cheers!
That's wild, thanks for sharing...that box really brings back memories, I remember it vividly...I have a T-outliner, going on 25 years of ownership...crazy, I know...I only had to replace the blade once and that's because I dropped it (multiple times) and it eventually cracked....the wire is fraying a bit, but nothing it seems (fingers crossed) will stop this machine....when I bought the guards, it was like a new trimmer...
Wow, welcome to the lifetime ownership club lol! Looks like you're able to provide a matching testimonial to the longevity of this outliner! I just bought the T-Outliner because my T-Edjer broke. The cord broke from the base. I found out Andis discontinued that model. Every year I was buying another one! I am happy with it so far.💈
You've made a great investment with the T-Outliner. It should last you many many years. Remember to keep it clean and oiled up so that it gives you even longer life. I've got mine to last for over 2 decades so for sure a reliable machine. Always good to have a heavy duty go to liner like this one. If others act up, you know the T-Outliner will always bail you out! Please come back and give an updated testimonial once you've had it for a few months or even a year! Let people know! :)
My t outliner broke again so I purchased a new power cord and a soldering iron and fixed it myself!! I'm tired of buying new ones every year because of crappy cords they on them.

I just got my new Andis t outliner today and right out of the box this thing cuts amazingly well! I'm interested to zero Gap it as well but it's not even really necessary to tell you the truth.
I also never zero gaped my liner either because it also cut excellent right out the box and it has a nice powerful motor so you get crispy lines with this liner. Also if you zero gap it you have to be more careful as you can even cut yourself as it can be super sharp. I like it a little less then zero gap so I can put a little more pressure when I cut. But that is my personal feeling. Thanks for taking the time to drop a comment and enjoy your T Outliner! One Love! :)
Thanks so much for your support and taking the time to watch! Yes you hit the nail on the head. I think the biggest reason the outliner has lasted this long and is still sharp and accurate is because I do all the proper care on it. Keeping it oiled makes it run smooth and giving it a through clean after each use makes sure there is no build up that eventually clogs all the mechanisms etc and burns it out. So a little extra TLC can make this a life long success! :)
@8:00 Learned this lesson the hard way on a trip to Paris. The 2.20 voltage cooked my T-Outliners and I couldn't shave for 4 days! until I got back home.
Awww man, sorry to hear that bro. That really sucks, sometimes you got to learn the hard way. I personally got my self a Andis Slimline Pro Li for when I travel. It is cordless, it is lightweight, works anywhere in the world and has a long battery life on one charge. I have done a review on it as well if you don't already know about it. The blade is not as big as the T-Outliner so it may take a bit longer to get the job done, but the blade can be adjusted and it cuts sharp and precise! You could purchase voltage and Hertz converters for the outliners but in this day and age its not worth it, just get a cordless. They even have cordless T-Outliners but they are pricey. The Slimline is economical and practical. Thanks for leaving your life lesson on here so hopefully others can avoid the same thing! Cheers! :)

Hello Farzad! Nice to hear from you! Yes the andis Outliner is a great one to own. I would most likely say get the T blade version as you've already owned an outliner. I'm sure you'll be a pro with it and it's really versatile! With proper care it will never go bad on you if you're using for personal use! :)

Which kind of blade you think would be better for beard trimming with guard attachments ? Or any trimmers/clipper you recommend for that purpose. Thanks
I personally use the Oster Fast Feed. It is a hair clipper used by barbers but it also can be used to trim a beard with the guards. The Wahl Seniors are also good for the same purpose. I always suggest getting a set of barber quality clippers and liners as they typically end up lasting a lifetime. My fast feeds I've had them since approx. 2008 and if you saw in this video my andis liner since like 1998 I believe. They both still work fine too! Liners like the ones in this video are mostly for shaping the beard and not for trimming so that is why I always suggest hair clippers for any kind of trimming. Hope that helps! :)
@@Kaygee79 It does help. Appreciate that. Agree, it's worth it as a good quality tool will likely last years. And perform great. hey i bought the wrong replacement blade for the T Outliner i got the Outliner Blade i put it on do you think it will work????? i iam bald right now so i can’t use it i usually shave my sides of head down and fade like out
Yes it should work. The body and make of the T outliner and the outliner 2 are the same so you should be able to interchange the cutting blades without issue. Give it a try and see what happens. Please provide an update here too because I am curious to know the outcome! :)
It is my pleasure! I'm so glad you found this video informative, exactly why I decided to make this review so comments like yours let me know the message is helpful and useful to you and others! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on the video! Cheers! :)
Tasha! Thanks so much for watching and your continued support! I really appreciate it! I am happy you found the video informative! Both work great, it all depends on what the details of both outliner and which one makes most sense for whoever is buying it! :)
Appreciate you watching. You can use the slimline to do a dry shave sure but the blade is smaller than the corded outliner so it will take longer. If you want to do it quicker then the corded outliner has a stronger motor, bigger blade and can get the job done quicker in my opinion. But if you only have a slimline you can do it that way too.
That's pretty awesome and not surprising. This is a heavy duty piece of cutting equipment! Mine is still going strong to this day! Thanks for watching and the testimonial comment! Much Love! :)
So glad to see that you came by to visit! Your prawns recipe was so delicious, made my mouth water! Hopefully you found this review useful! I have a entire series on reviews for hair clippers and also haircut and beard cutting tutorials as well. Hopefully they all are useful for the right person! :)
Does the T-Outliner should come pre-lubed? I bought 3 of these from amazon all of them were used and had these white dandruff stuff on the blades and the blades were pre-lubed. Returned them all.
That sounds off. They should not come pre-lubed with white dandruff stuff on it! LOL, that's crazy. Good thing you sent them back! Not normal at all. Should just be a clean blade. I laughed when I read this comment because it sounds so messed up! Maybe you might want to try to pick it up direct from a store instead. I bought mine originally from a retail store and not online. Mind you I bought mine many years ago. Not sure if that is possible where you live.
@@Kaygee79 Thanks for the reply, I bought them from Amazon from different sellers hoping to get a new clipper that’s 100% new starting last week. I think Andis starts pre-lubing the blades but just wanted to be super sure and ask other people if they also received pre-lubed t-outliners. But the blades does not seem to be 100% brand new and clean, they always have some white little specks on them. I’m not sure how these tiny little debris got on to the blade. They also have some hair, like few pieces on the body. With all these in mind I can only assume it is used and they all sound funny a bit too loud than what everyone shows on RUclips. One batch vibrates harder than another, many inconsistencies. The latching switch also have any inconsistencies, one batch would be a perfect smooth switch that clicks and move back and forth effortlessly while other batches would be hard to switch. I think I’ll start to head to the local store and purchase one from there rather from Amazon.
I have a set of T-Liners (called a Pivot Pro) that came with an Andis SpeedMaster. But I'm wondering if there's a liner with finer blades. It doesn't seem to cut as close as I would expect. Maybe my expectations are too high if I'm looking for something to cut close like a razor.
Well a liner will come very close but will never give you the razor finish. You always need to finish off with a razor. I have a video where I do my beard line up and I also finish off with a blade. But if you don't want to actually use a blade to finish off you can always invest in a shaver. Andis sells shavers that give you a really close finish. I don't own any my self because I like using my blade but you can research shavers and invest in one of those to give you that close finish in the end. Thanks for your comment, appreciate you taking the time to watch the video as well! :)
I agree that Andis Pivot Pros are not good for coarse hair. I had a pair and only used once to do a baldie and I had to pay to have a barber clean up what it couldn’t. Barber told me the trimmers aren’t made for us…ordered T Outliners instead 👍🏾
I don't own a wahl detailer, and for my lines I've always used andis and it has done excellent for me. So I would continue to use the t outliner from andis. No need to change it up for me! Hope that helps! Cheers! :)
Not even once. I always keep them clean and they are for my use only. This is meant for professional use heavy duty, so when it is used only for one person and you keep the blades clean and oiled when you use it, basically it can last a lifetime, or close to that! This was my only liner for many years, but now I use that and some other wireless liners too so it gets used less now. Either way the blades cut sharp to this day, it's still the best liner I have!
Ladies, thanks for watching! Glad it was clear to follow! Might be a good idea as a gift for a man who has a beard to keep shaped up nicely or for someone you know who likes to cut their own hair! :)
Would you say this will buzz my head without struggling? I’ve been using a peanut with oaky results, I mean it been doing the job for 5 years yet I’m in need of a new trimmer. I always have a buzzed head so the hair doesn’t get over a 3 and my hair quite thin… Thanks
This is a powerful liner so it will cut the hair off pretty easily. That being said these are liners and more for shaping your taper or beard line up etc. but you can surely take the hair off your head with this as well. It can bring the hair down very low but to get a smooth finish you would have to either finish off with a razor or a shaver. I just did a review on the andis shaver so you could finish off with something like that. Thanks for watching and all the best! :)
Yes the T-blade will cover more surface area so for full dry shaving that probably is best! Remember the outliner will give you a close finish but you probably want to finish off with the andis shaver for the closest finish after using the T-Blade.
@@frank1971ification Awesome! Once you get it and use it please come back and leave a testimonial of your experience with the blade! If it is anything like mine you'll be using it for years to come! Cheers! :)
Yes, it's insane! In this disposable society we live in, it's wild that I actually have something that has lasted this long. Craziest part is that it still cuts like new. I don't think it is even close to the end of its life! Lol! It will probably outlast my cordless one. That is my prediction! :D
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind comment! To be considered a potential barber is an honour! I cut hair as a side hobby mostly on my own and for my dad. And before all this virus stuff I would cut friends hair too on occasion. But no formal training and just my own self interest. My actual occupation is as a building inspector for construction of new houses. My educational background is in Architecture and in my job I inspect construction as it happens to ensure structural safety, fire safety and health safety. Basically enforcing building codes for construction and making sure they are being followed correctly. I am the type of person who likes to learn a bit about a lot of different things hence why I do my RUclips videos etc! I hope you stick around and enjoy more videos in the future! Cheers!
Thanks for watching and for your comment! So most of my friends prefer the T Outliner but I prefer the Outliner 2. It really is personal preference. Maybe you just need to flip a coin and go by pure chance lol! :D
@@iseerashonal821 If you have long hair it is good to get it down short but you will still want to use a razor to make your bald head have a clean shiny finish!
@@kc070 Glad you liked the video. All my reviews I try to give in depth info based on my personal experiences. Honestly for me, I just make sure I keep them clean after each use. I brush off all the hair with a toothbrush after each use. I also make sure I oil the blades when using them so they run smooth. You can also use the Andis Cool Care from time to time to disinfect the blades. That has worked for me. If you make it part of the routine of cutting hair then it will last for years and work great!
This is a liner, it's for shaping the beard more than shaving super short. You can use it to do that but I'd finish off with a razor or a shaver for a super short finish. Again for the liners I would not suggest getting guards, better to do that with a clipper and not a liner. As for a a brush to clean off the loose hair from the liner, just use a toothbrush, that works the best!
Thank you for showing these items. A perfect time that I was thinking about getting one to cut my son hair. Great review friend. I checked your bell . Later friend.
Nice, I'm glad you watched this! You will need an outliner and a good clipper to cut your sons hair well. You can watch my hair cutting tutorial video to get an idea of the hair clipper as well. I will be doing a review of the hair clipper in about a week or so from now so stay tuned for that! Much Love! :)
This is a fantastic question. So the outliner is not truly for shaving bald heads. I would say the best way is still with a razor blade or andis actually sells a shaver which is what you would want to look into for keeping a bald head looking proper! This liner would be useful to you say if you kept a beard and wanted to shape the edges of the beard to keep it looking sharp. That is what this is meant for. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! Much Love! :)
Thanks for the question. I don't own the trimmer you're asking about so I wouldn't be able to give you a honest answer on it. If I ever end up owning it or using it in the future, then at that time I'll be able to update you! Thanks for taking the time to watch and for your comment! Cheers! :)
By model G I am assuming you mean the GTX? I don't own a GTX liner so I am not sure. But the Outliner 2 and T Outliner have the same body so you could interchange the blades on there. If the GTX uses the same blade as the other outliners I am pretty sure you would be able to.
@@Kaygee79 I don't know. My Outliner 2 device just says "Model: G" I ordered some gtx compatible t blades and guards just now. I'll update the comment if they work.
@@Kaygee79 My order from the Andis website came in. But I actually made a mistake and ordered the square blades. Both the square and the t trimmer blades say they fit models GO, GTO, GTX on the Andis website (and apparently my model G) so I'm pretty sure that means they're interchangeable. I also ordered the guards which are designed for the T blades and they fit on my square blades. Obviously they're a bit wider than the square blades but they still perform just fine for my use.
@@justinc8157 Amazing, thanks for letting me know! It's actually a good thing that the blades are able to be used on all the different models, it makes it easy and convenient. I have used the square blades for years my self and love them. I am sure you'll find the square one just fine once you get used to them. I'd do reviews on more models of blades but the truth is that my outliner is pretty much lasting for life so far in my case so I haven't found a reason to replace them yet!
You have to make sure you brush off the hair from time to time. Make sure you have a toothbrush just for your clippers and brush off the hairs that get caught in the teeth. I never have this issue because I don't let it build up. Also remember to put a bit of clipper oil when you use them that way the blades run smooth and don't get too hot too fast. If you make those two adjustments you should be fine.
Yes a t liner can take off all the hair on your head. But you will still need to finish off with a razor or a electric shaver like the andis profoil shaver. That being said a hair clipper is good for taking off bulk. I own a cordless Wahl Senior hair clipper that is pretty much zero gaped. That can do a similar job as well. No matter what you use though you will want to finish off with a razor or shaver. Hope that helps! Great question!

My pleasure to share my knowledge with you! :)
hey i bought the wrong replacement blade for the T Outliner i got the Outliner Blade i put it on do you think it will work????? i iam bald right now so i can’t use it i usually shave my sides of head down and fade like out
Yes it should work. The body and make of the T outliner and the outliner 2 are the same so you should be able to interchange the cutting blades without issue. Give it a try and see what happens. Please provide an update here too because I am curious to know the outcome! :)

both seems great
Tasha! Thanks so much for watching and your continued support! I really appreciate it! I am happy you found the video informative! Both work great, it all depends on what the details of both outliner and which one makes most sense for whoever is buying it! :)
Nice video. Do you recommend dry shaving with the cordless Slimline Outlinear?
Appreciate you watching. You can use the slimline to do a dry shave sure but the blade is smaller than the corded outliner so it will take longer. If you want to do it quicker then the corded outliner has a stronger motor, bigger blade and can get the job done quicker in my opinion. But if you only have a slimline you can do it that way too.
my barber said he had his clippers for a crazy long time too
That's pretty awesome and not surprising.

Very true it gets hot
Yup, it sure does! Got to be careful! :)
If you want sharp right out of the box get the Wahl Detailer
I agree that Andis Pivot Pros are not good for coarse hair. I had a pair and only used once to do a baldie and I had to pay to have a barber clean up what it couldn’t. Barber told me the trimmers aren’t made for us…ordered T Outliners instead 👍🏾
hi sr whats better in your opnion please the t outliner corded or waul detailer ??
I don't own a wahl detailer, and for my lines I've always used andis and it has done excellent for me. So I would continue to use the t outliner from andis. No need to change it up for me! Hope that helps! Cheers! :)
Can I buy a T-blade and install it on my outliner 2 trimmers ?
I haven't personally done it but it is the same body so it should work just fine. They both screw on and off the same way.
How often did you have to replace the blades in 20 years
Not even once.
@@Kaygee79 that's was actually worth the money. Actually very impressed bro, thanks for the added info! :)
Really nice and clear review 🙂
Ladies, thanks for watching! Glad it was clear to follow! Might be a good idea as a gift for a man who has a beard to keep shaped up nicely or for someone you know who likes to cut their own hair! :)
@@Kaygee79 I've forwarded it to my husband - his facial hair has officially moved past the "stubble" phase and could use some taming 😂
Would you say this will buzz my head without struggling? I’ve been using a peanut with oaky results, I mean it been doing the job for 5 years yet I’m in need of a new trimmer. I always have a buzzed head so the hair doesn’t get over a 3 and my hair quite thin…
Thanks
This is a powerful liner so it will cut the hair off pretty easily. That being said these are liners and more for shaping your taper or beard line up etc. but you can surely take the hair off your head with this as well. It can bring the hair down very low but to get a smooth finish you would have to either finish off with a razor or a shaver. I just did a review on the andis shaver so you could finish off with something like that. Thanks for watching and all the best! :)
@@Kaygee79 Much appreciated! Seems like it’s exactly what I’m looking for. Thank You
Can you put a T Outliner blade on a Outliner II motor ?
Yes, it is the same body so you can take off the outliner II blade and put on a T Blade and it will work.
@@Kaygee79 perfect thanks !
Which one for full dry shaving? I was thinking the t outliner since it has a bigger blade. Thoughts?
Yes the T-blade will cover more surface area so for full dry shaving that probably is best! Remember the outliner will give you a close finish but you probably want to finish off with the andis shaver for the closest finish after using the T-Blade.
@@Kaygee79 ok thanks! just ordered the t blade version
@@frank1971ification Awesome! Once you get it and use it please come back and leave a testimonial of your experience with the blade! If it is anything like mine you'll be using it for years to come! Cheers! :)
Hope all is well safe travels
Thanks! :)
That is insane that thing has lasted over 20 years. Got your use out of it forsure.
Yes, it's insane! In this disposable society we live in, it's wild that I actually have something that has lasted this long. Craziest part is that it still cuts like new. I don't think it is even close to the end of its life! Lol! It will probably outlast my cordless one. That is my prediction! :D
@@Kaygee79 forsure. The battery will give up on it
Great video! Are you a barber? Curious as to what’s your occupation
Cheers!
Yes sir very good review. I'm torn between the two clippers, I can't decide which one to get
Thanks for watching and for your comment! So most of my friends prefer the T Outliner but I prefer the Outliner 2. It really is personal preference. Maybe you just need to flip a coin and go by pure chance lol! :D
@@Kaygee79 is the T-outline good for shaving my head bald?
@@iseerashonal821 If you have long hair it is good to get it down short but you will still want to use a razor to make your bald head have a clean shiny finish!
Great review!!!
Appreciate it, glad you found it useful and I hope you got the answers you were looking for! :)
if i buy T Outliner blades can i put them on my Squares?
The body of the clipper is the same so you could switch out the square for a T Blade if you want.
@@Kaygee79would you suggest me doing that?
@@kc070 I personally use the square blade so I wouldn't switch it out. It comes down to personal preference!
@@Kaygee79 understood thanks man, very informative.. you have videos for Maintenance on em? Ima sub up
@@kc070 Glad you liked the video.
I can’t speed up the clippers to cut
have you oiled the clippers? It needs clipper oil to run smoothly.
thank u for review which one is better for shaving beard super short? and do u have a link for tgards and brush? mine came without any
This is a liner, it's for shaping the beard more than shaving super short. You can use it to do that but I'd finish off with a razor or a shaver for a super short finish. Again for the liners I would not suggest getting guards, better to do that with a clipper and not a liner. As for a a brush to clean off the loose hair from the liner, just use a toothbrush, that works the best!
Superb review

Good for eyebrows?
I'd say if you have a steady hand sure, but if you slip up... bye bye eyebrows! Lol! Good question! :D
Can i use a wahl t wide blade on them?
Not sure about a Wahl, it is a different brand and I don't own a Wahl T-Blade liner so I can't verify.
Much Love! :)

Can I put a t blade on the square blade model ?
I haven't tried it my self but it has the same body so it should work.
@@Kaygee79 Thank you bro !!!
Thanks for sharing 👋
Wow, thanks for watching! I hope the video was useful for you! :)
Are these trimmers good for shaving bald heads ?
This is a fantastic question. So the outliner is not truly for shaving bald heads. I would say the best way is still with a razor blade or andis actually sells a shaver which is what you would want to look into for keeping a bald head looking proper! This liner would be useful to you say if you kept a beard and wanted to shape the edges of the beard to keep it looking sharp. That is what this is meant for. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! Much Love! :)
ANDIS OUTLINER REVIEW - Andis T Outliner Vs Andis Outliner 2. Is Wahl Professional 8991 5-Star Series Hero Corded Trimmer better????
Thanks for the question. I don't own the trimmer you're asking about so I wouldn't be able to give you a honest answer on it. If I ever end up owning it or using it in the future, then at that time I'll be able to update you! Thanks for taking the time to watch and for your comment! Cheers! :)
Can you add t blades on the outliner II
They both have the same body so you can take off the blade on an outliner II and replace it with a T-Blade. It should not be an issue.
@@Kaygee79 Thanks👍
Great review
Appreciate it! Cheers! :)
Are the blades interchangeable? I have a model G but i'm having a hard time finding parts for it.
@@justinc8157 Ok great, yes please do, I'd be curious to know! Thanks!
I'd do reviews on more models of blades but the truth is that my outliner is pretty much lasting for life so far in my case so I haven't found a reason to replace them yet!
very nice review
Thanks for coming by my channel and taking the time watch and support! I appreciate it! :)
the t-outliner is louder bc the blades aren’t on right
The T Outliner is louder in general as it is a bigger blade.
that’s true i’ve had 3 T-Outliners and blade seems to be a bit crooked
I love it, for dry shaving, but, after, awhile, I think, the hair's, get caught, in it, and it doesn't, work properly
Black guys used it for shaving facial hair instead of a razor blade.
It is surely sharp enough to do a close finish! Thanks for watching! :)
Wow fabulous sharing Lk97 👍💐💐stay safe and connected thanks 😊

Can you use the t liner to cut off all your hair?
Yes a t liner can take off all the hair on your head. But you will still need to finish off with a razor or a electric shaver like the andis profoil shaver. That being said a hair clipper is good for taking off bulk. I own a cordless Wahl Senior hair clipper that is pretty much zero gaped. That can do a similar job as well. No matter what you use though you will want to finish off with a razor or shaver. Hope that helps! Great question!
Thanks!
Solid.
