I'm really hoping that Barry, Sheriff Sarah Breaker and many of the other characters are in this game. Alan Wake is very dear to my heart, and I'm ecstatic to finally play soon. It's been a long wait.

@Brook I think for the story, it wouldn't make sense to scrap previous characters. When Alan got trapped in the dark place, Barry and the others were still in a different reality.

Hearing James McCaffrey anytime warms my heart and also gives me chills he has such a unique voice all the nostalgia from Max Payne i wish he was in more video games.

Their description of the endgame with this "propaganda" is always foggy with these guys. Some think we'll all turn into soy liberal snowflake cucks or whatever other combination of 4chab buzzwords come to mind. I think there is a sizeable cross section of these charmers who just like joining a troll band wagon and parroting the talking points on whatever remotely fits.

According to a document in Control, she is in their house (the same that appears in the first game) but it is being haunted by an evil version of Alan Wake (i believe it is mr scratch).

Can't wait to get to explore Bright Falls once again! I absolutely loved all the different areas in AL1 and to get to travel the town and especially the forests more freely sounds amazing!
I do hope Alan Wake is still the main character we could play in this sequel!

In the interviews they say that its about 50/50 so you can consider them both main characters, not just Alan. But, I'm happy, since this way we also get a perspective into the real world
Alan and Saga are 2 main characters of this sequel, 2 campaigns that can be played individually with Alan or with Saga or directly alternate between one and the other where there is the main story, the experience with both protagonists and their story.

On Steam that number is 30/70, meaning Valve grabs a whopping 30% from developers and they only get to keep 70%. How is that fair to developers? Really like that all teasers and trailers dont give out spoilers and keeps us in the right frame of mind and wanting to play it.
Some questions may never me solved. Some mysteries may never be resolved.
Which brings me to question, I wonder of this game still has influence of Twin Peaks and David Lynch in any way, which would be really awesome, but either way, it looks really good

Can‘t wait for the game and I really hope that Filippo gets to give us a flawless HDR implementation right on from release. Native black levels and perfectly popping highlights can be such an enhancement to the immersion and his reworked mod of Control was brilliant. More of that! 👏
Been a fan of Remedy's work since the first Max Payne on PC. It's surreal seeing how far they've come throughout the years with Alan Wake, Quantum Break and Control and having Sam Lake now sit in the position of Creative Director after seeing him start as the facial likeness and writer of the original Max Payne games.
I absolutely loved Alan wake 2, Melanie liburd did such an amazing job and made me almost tear up a bit in some moments
Very hyped for this, just finished replaying Alan Wake and am replaying Control now. So excited to really explore Bright Falls and Cauldron Lake! Definitely going to scour AW II

Ever since the 2021 AWII teaser, 100% of my free time has been spent exploring and making theories about the Remedy Connected Universe. A release date, and a Behind the Scenes series is truly a dream come true for me. Thank you, Remedy. You guys truly make my world.

Theory: Alan created or “altered” Saga into existence to rescue him but the twist will be Alan had to create the murders that set the events in motion that got her to Brightfalls.
I think Saga always existed. The powers of the Dark Presence can only nudge things into a certain direction, but it can’t create from nothing. So Saga really is an FBI agent well before, but the ritualistic murders Alan wrote about is the circumstance that brings her to Bright Falls. Much like how Thomas Zan lane probably wrote about Alan Wake going to the town
Alan brought Alex Casey into existence and partenred him with Saga. After Casey dies (because he was never real to begin with), this will motivate Saga into investigating Bright Falls and eventually getting Alan out of the Dark Place
Man, if that were the twist of the game it would definitely suck, at least for me who has already seen al the Remedy side-content leading up to Alan Wake 2 because all of this is something we already knew.

Please Sam give us a physical box edition on consoles. I will buy both digital and physical copy of it. I would also buy a collector's edition if it had a game inside. Such a great franchise and cult classic asks for a proper pumped up release. I always buy and love all your games and I love looking at my physical collection of Max, Alan, Jessie and Jack when I don't have time to play...
I can't wait to see what the collector box will look like so excited, but at the same time I hope we don't get a Bethesda situation again
Maybe I should not mention this, but I'd love to see a public map editor for the players to use for Alan Wake. That will allow for new ways to play and experience, more and more Alan Wake scenarios.
This is something I wish you guys could do, I don't know if it's even possible or a way to spawn npcs around the map, but either way, looking forward to the game! In addition, I'd like to mention that I am a big fan of multiple playable characters in one game.

Personally what I'm more interested in is the sound track all the games in the series have had incredible music with custom songs for the games. I just hope it can live up to such a high bar the other games set

Any chance Saga is a dark place representation of Alan’s mother, and her side of the narrative will reveal the events that lead to Alan becoming a writer in the first place? Aka the missing link that’ll aid Alan to escape the dark place while also revealing why Alan wrote Alex Casey the way he did.

I trust Sam Lake's writing. It's going to be interesting to see his take on a narrative spun between two protagonists and how they're entangled in this mess. And holy mother of god Remedy, that shot of Alan at 1:03 - you guys are godly when it comes to your render engine. Control was **chef's kiss** a visual treat and this looks delectable!

@@LukaBEET They've been picking it up recently, though. Control had some pretty unique gameplay that was satisfying, just needed more enemies. Alan Wake 2 seems to have a good variety of enemies from what we've seen so far, very creepy too, and I think using the survival horror element of the sequel will allow them to do a "less is more" for this scenario. Variety of tools spread out thinly.
I do hope there is difficulty settings for this one though lol casual here

We waited 13 years for a sequel to Alan Wake. How much of the game is going to be from Alan's perspective and about Alan? For the last two videos all we've seen is Saga Anderson and gameplay from that perspective. Seriously, how much Alan is going to be in Alan Wake 2? For 13 years we've wanted to know what happened to Alan and all the great characters around him, not a FBI agent. Seems like an odd choice.

Just got alan wake remastered on ps5 too, beautiful in the forest with fog and lighting, controls beautifully too.
Better than i remembered, super atmospheric.
The female detective actress is a beauty too😊, too bad in the video it doesn't capture that as much.
Love her voice too, love the brit accent of women from there, like the actress in underworld hehe.
But alan wake's expression and face in the vid is best I've seen in a game yet, superbly done remedy.
Im playing thru control too, and loving it. I adore james McCaffrey's voice and delivery in it and in mp3 especially.
Looking forward to him in mp1 and 2 remakes, i hope they will redo the recording for him cz in mp1 ps2 port on ps5, it seems he's rushed to say his lines with a time limit, makes it lack the effect of his delivery like in control and mp3.
