Especially compared to the F2P mobile Trash of today. At least some of these older tie-in games were decent, or at least fondly remembered by the people that played them

Marvel has so much potential for good games. Arkham Asylum nailed comic storylines with Batman and I think the right developer can make a badass MCU game

Yeah RUclips "essay" people tend to have a faultering grasp English. While content earns them my attention, I often find videos near unwatchable for this reason.
I always believed that the perfect Captain America game would be a MGSV clone set on WW2. I never knew why, but the possibilities of that gameplay, the free use of weapons, and the integration of the shield physics would be amazing.
Also, who plays Arkham just waiting around to counter? Never get a good combo meter that way, I'm aiming to take everyone out in a single continuous combination.
The shield is definitely worth using a lot. Also the Arkham batman vision does make sense. You see it from the pov of Steve. It shows angles and minute details a normal human would miss.

Given that this is exactly the case with 616-Nick Fury. He fought in WW2 and is still alive today, having only aged by a couple of decades, thanks to a age-halting serum he takes, that was developed by SHIELD.

i honestly had a blast playing this game as a kid. i remember completing all of the challenge arenas and the combat was just so fun and satisfying. everything flowed in such a way that it felt as if every action has some impact to it. whether its the sound design of every hit or the masks of hydra agents cracking as you hit them across the face with a heavy attack. it's always just so satisfying and beefy.
3:30 shipping containers... in WW2? I don't think so. Super soldiers and advanced secret tech is one thing, but this kind of historical inaccuracy just breaks the immersion.

I recently (as in like 2 days ago) replayed this game. It's quite fun. The combat is satisfying due to the cool animations and great sound design for the shield hits. It's nothing amazing, but for a brief 5/6 hours, I definitely had a good time with it.
I bought this game cheap years ago and play through it quite often. Not a perfect game by any means but very underrated in my opinion. Pretty decent graphics and cut scenes. Interesting story and most of all, it's really fun to play

This may seem like such a superficial thing to decide your overall enjoyment of a game on, but I'm a perfectionist, a 100 percenter. I actually really liked this game and I was fond of the first Iron Man game, as well as Superman Returns. I guess it's because I'm quite a comics fanboy. Also, I can't help but wonder why they can't just tell these gaming studios "We're working on (movie)" and then have them working on mechanics well ahead of schedule; they already know, from 50+ years of comics what their abilities will be like so it gives them plenty of time to build strong game mechanics. So even if they have to rush the graphics and they don't look the best, they could be forgiven for strong gameplay.

Actually, Strucker doesn’t appear in Agents of SHIELD. He appears in Age of Ultron. It’s actually his son that appears in that show and becomes a somewhat recurring character for two of the seasons.
I liked the wii and xbox 360 version of these because they were similar with slight twists for each like the wii one being more cartoony (which I can't find a copy of the wii version anymore), and the 360 one being more realistic
I own iron man 3, the Incredible Hulk, captain America. And Thor. I thought these games were the best of all time along with crash bandicoot and the Arkham series.
This game was my first ever platinum when i was nine years old and i had bought my first console back in late 2012. I had an absolute blast as a kid but i just know if i came back to it today, i'd hate it. 😂
