    • @Hawk-q9d
      @Hawk-q9d 5 лет назад

      It's one of those games that I beat on every difficulty, tried to go for all the achievements but missed one, and then tried to go on the easy difficulty on the last level to get that achievement. I swear easy mode becomes a hassle when you're just trying to rush to get an achievement.
      And I haven't played the game since.
      Honestly. It's mediocre at best and.. you'll most likely turn the dialogue off after a while. The cover shooting is a bit clunky, jokes are lame most of the time, and it's a neat concept but a bad execution. Voice acting is okay.. I think Neil Patrick Harris and Will Arnett did a good job with what they had for dialogue. Also I should mention that I did enjoy the overall gameplay. And the soundtrack are two songs from what I remember. Quiet sneaky music for.. general maneuvering, and NA NA NANA NAAAAA for gun fights.

    The reason why that airplane level felt so fleshed out and more higher production is because that was the level that was shipped on an official Xbox magazine demo disks (remember those?!) and I think it was even the digital demo you could get from the Xbox store. It was also the level they showed at GDC or e3 (can’t remember which) and thus; it was pretty much the ‘vertical slice’ of gameplay that they showed to get A.) investors and B.) people to buy the game. If I remember correctly that level was the first level they actually designed and every other level was created afterwards. A lot of the inspiration too was from the epilogue mission in COD 4 ‘mile high club’
    So it makes sense why that level felt so much more developed than others!

      @@Assassino275That's one thing.
      The comic is about a society of supervillains conquering the world and killing almost all the superheroes and remaking the world the way they see it. Just because they had the suit doesn't mean this has anything to do with the comic.
      In the comic, all the members of the Fraternity are a clear analogues for actual supervillains - Fox is Catwoman, while Wesley's dad is Deadshot. Entire plot is about the conflict between a version of Joker and version of Lex Luthor.
      Oh and the entire bullet bending thing doesn't exist in the comic. Wesley just has a genetic talent for killing. And Loom was completely invented for the movie.

Worth mentioning that, like the other GRiN games that used the same engine (Bionic Commando, Terminator Salvation), this looks significantly better on PS3 than on 360. The 360 renditions of each of these games is missing some specular highlights, HDR tone-mapping and volumetric lighting, that go a fair way to remedying the muddiness you see in this video. I actually played and beat the PC version and it was fine. It actually suffers from mouse DECELERATION, but even that is only really noticeable in the sniper segments. Another issue is the complete lack of key icons, but at least you still get the prompts. So, really it only has minor issues. It also runs at 60 FPS no problem, so it's a good version in the end.

    This was one game that I rented multiple times as a kid. Wanted, while not a great movie, was a guilty pleasure of mine as I love shoot em up movies and the game was no exception. Max Payne, Stranglehold, Dead to Rights, and this game were some of my favorite 3rd person shooters, not neccesarily because all of them were masterpieces but they were certainly a lot of fun in their own ways.

    the movie was barely an adaptation of the source material but boy was it fun and genuinely badass.
    Kind of wished it spawned a number of movies.

    Man, I'd love to see something like a Bulletstorm sequel (please?) play with that bullet curving mechanic, that really does seem like it has promise...if it were executed in a game that were even more over the top.

    You need to play the Ghostbusters videogame for the Xbox 360. I think that it stands out as being more than a "tie in" game for a movie. It's super fun and well written plus it's got all the original actors its like the third movie we never got

    Coming back to this after watching your Cars reviews and I just noticed the replacement voice for Wesley sounds EXACTLY like Lightning McQueen.
    I haven't seen the movie in years so I dunno if that's also just how he sounded in the first place or not.

    Surprisingly fun is an overstatement. It’s easy as fuck, like 4 hours long, and the bullet curving gimmick wears off after like the third wall you shoot around.
