This was one of the first PS3 games i played, I had a lot of fun with it! 😂
as a mindless child this was quite literally my favorite game. to this day no game has stuck in my brain like this game has for 10yrs.
Honestly I love this game and legit still play it to this day at times because I literally love the movie so much. I saw it when I was 8 years old😂😂 and the game was pretty awesome to me and my friend likes this too but never fully played it

Another gem of the time is the Afro Samurai games. Truly back then anything could get made into a game and there was no worry if it would do well or not.

Kinda funny in retrospect lol. Most 3rd gen console games were purpose built by genre. Nowadays most games that get greenlit are AAA titles, and big in terms of added content with years and years of development. And there is no guarantee that the game would do well at all because the realism hype train with heavy hardware costs plus multi-platform compatibility makes the game so much harder to port and develop properly. The gaming industry has obviously gotten better, but in terms of creative risks, nowadays studios just play it safe with the content. For example, I played hi-fi rush, and what a brilliant game tbh. It's just so much fun because it's a rhythm hack and slash with an extremely creative art style. No one knew about this game until it was announced and it kinda resembles the old days of random releases out of the blue. And tbh, I was genuinely surprised and happy that this game was a fresh breath of air. I wish studios would take more risks with their ideas.

I'm just imaging some guy whose been at work all day, 9-5, he gets home helps his kids with their homework, helps clean up after dinner, and finally gets the kids to bed. At 10 he decides to play a game for an hour to unwind, and then that game insults him for playing it.

Honestly, I cannot describe the fun I have had with this game.

Hey, I can take a little insult, that's not the issue here. The issue is that I clicked on this video after seeing the "0/5 stars. written by a redditor"-review on the thumbnail and wondered what this was all about until I heard VERY FIRST LINE.
This honestly feels like it's written by some 14 year old who just said "fuck" in front of his parents for the first time so that they can "get a glimpse into his messed up reality."
I think it's the same guy who thought telling people who supported Mighty No. 9 that they were gonna cry "like an anime fan on prom night" was a good idea.

Tbf tho it is accurate to the og comic book which insults the reader all the damn time (and not in a funny way).
The way they insult you at the beginning remind me of the Cinemasins video on this movie where they insult you at the end and the narrator is like "What, cause I haven't murdered a bunch of people today". The insulting thing was really rich considering it was just a corrupt club of people with a magic ability committing murder.

Oh, boy... Do I so NOT miss the color schemes in video games of that time. I cannot not count the times I was disappointed just by that. Everything brownish, a big soup of almost the same colors. What a nightmare.

Someday, my Christmas wish of seeing Kev tackle The Godfather: Don’s Edition on PS3 will come true. Probably my favorite movie game of all time; never stops being hilarious to ignore the story and become a mass-murdering psychopath that takes over NYC single-handed.
The Godfather game and the Scarface game ("The World is Yours") basically defined my gaming experience around 2006 or so. Two of the absolute best movie games ever.

Played through this game for the first time a couple years back. Loved it so much I ran through it on all difficulties in one sitting.

Man this takes me back years, legitimately one of the first games I actually went and got the platinum for. got the 3x headshot curving shot trophy on the rappelling down enemies while climbing the inside of the tower. Also it's over a decade old game. It's always going to feel slow compared to more current shooters.

@@Darkprosper When I played this game, no i was not. Within the last 10 years, yes I have heard of doom, no I have not played the original fully besides modified versions of it within the last 5 years. Probably still better to compare this and the original nathan drake games.

i love vents in video games cuz in normal real life you'd follow the vent to a heater or a furnace or ac unit but in video games it turns from a 2foot by 3foot opening into a vent into a tunnel into a cave into a giant lost underground city full of clueless evil villain's ready for you to take out
I'd recommend playing "I Am Alive" whenever you get the chance Kev. The PC version takes a lot of effort to work properly and it's a bit of a slow burn, but it's got just the right amount of jank and some great mechanics I wish I saw more of in games.

@@nitrokid Yeah, It was basically all about earthquakes and this "heavy debris dust". It kind of hinted at something more, but I guess that is for the sequel we'll never see.

A novel indieish game from a triple A studio for sure. I can just imagine Kev freaking out over the combat mechanics as a bunch of machete wielding looters rush him, or falling off of skyscrapers A LOT.
Last year I played it on Xbox series x via backwards compatibility and i enjoyed it a lot
I watched the movie but I didn’t know they made a game for this. They really went crazy with movie video games back then. It was really 50-50. You had some that are really good & others that belong in the garbage lol 😂. Hey Kevduit you should try out “Samurai Jack Battle Through Time”. An amazing gem from 2020.

I really enjoyed this game. After my first time beating it, I immediately started a new game on the hardest difficulty and went through it again.
The sad part is the comic would have made pretty solid material for a game, messed up as it was.
Seeing the difficulty options was funny but I got a good laugh when completing the chapter on easy popped up 😂

Quantum of Solace is the only movie tie-in game I've ever played and I low-key love it. First-person shooter that combined scenarios from the first two Daniel Craig Bond films. Switches to third person when you take cover similar to Human Revolution.

I used to play that game's MP a lot online. It was jank as fuck and super unbalanced, except for "Classic" mode which put all the pickups on the map like an arena shooter so everyone didn't just spam the BS silenced auto-shotty-rail-sniper-anti-material-anti-everything cannons 😭

Wanted was my very first Blu-ray movie disc ever. I remember watching it so many times. It's one of those guilty pleasure movies where you don't want to admit you like it to close friends of yours. Naturally, I picked up this game on PS3. I remember being confused with a control and nothing else. Now that I am aware of this game again, I am super curious about it. I decided to buy it on ebay just now lol.
