"Why are there sidewalks in Cars?"
You've completely destroyed my mind
Think of them as weaker curbs
Regarding the sidewalks, I think they're supposed to be an area separate from the roads that cars can hang out on.
Imagine this scenario:
Mater: Hey, McQueen! I’ll meet ya in front of that there Chrysler building!
McQueen: Haha! Okay Mater!
So, how does Mater accomplish this? Does he stand in the middle of a busy street in a metropolitan area and block traffic, or does he “stand” on an elevated surface designed to differentiate itself from the road?
Cars can fit on a sidewalk most of the time, and they can also be driven onto. They aren’t just made for pedestrians to get around, they are also designed to keep people out of the streets.
@@dominikbury2 the movie Cars, not actual cars silly.
The answer is obvious: Cars happen after a human extinction event. The sidewalks were for the humans but they all died.
Theres a theory about the cars universe. It's basically a future after humans have somehow gone extinct but before they did, they figured out a way to make cars and other vehicles sentient and have brains and shit. Its actually quite an interesting theory, and it explains some of the things that wouldn't logically make sense in a Cars universe otherwise
You're terrible in an interesting way and that's why we love you Minimme.
I was like #666 yippee!
The twist where Bond knows that Joss Stone is a traitor is so hack that I almost respect it. There's no real foreshadowing or explanation, but Bond still figures it out.
How? He's Bond.
Fuck you.
I love it.
Is like I don't like you so you must be a bad guy.
Actually, in the Burma level, there's an enemy who's using a laptop right after Bond escapes the prison. If he dispatches the nearby enemies and scans the laptop with the smartphone, it reveals that Nicole Hunter is actually working with the enemies. So that's technically how he ends up finding out about it.
The name is me, Minimme
But where is Dr. Evil?
FINALLY, someone talking about this game. Underrated.
It is actually the only good Bond game after PS2/Xbox installations. I feel like it received very harsh press, despite the simplicity of game design. It is enjoyble to play from start to finish and that's what really matters.
Word agreed Tyler I couldn’t agree more it’s theeeee best bond game the rest are pure garbage in my opinion the combat in blood stones is amazing and amazing story level design was a masterpiece I love this game such a shame what has happened to this masterpiece
Underrated by who?
If every single game is underrated then why even look at ratings
@@benaskrensintellect332 ???
Tony Hawk accidentally grinded on the blood stone and now he has to keep his heart beating really fast or else Shrek from Shrek 2 (2004) eats him up
Isn't that the synopsis for Crank?
CrazyKraken yes, but with James Bond, Tony Hawk, & Shrek
Shrek from Shrek (2001) would have never condoned such violence
I heard that too.
@@bagelfan6 My guy, I think you've just uncovered Crank 3.
"The Call of Duty Machine" sounds like a metal gear solid mech dude boss name
its special power is consuming innocent little developers
And eating your money.
It really does lmao

Couple of years ago a Fan sent me a ton of Bizzare Creations' assets he got ina liquidation auction. Not been able to open a few of them because of the weird format they're in, but a lot of them were marked "knightwing", so not sure if that was a Batman game they were working on, or something related to Project Gotham.
But you should look at the James Bond games not based on movies, like Everything or Nothing and 007 The Duel, That and watch Doc Hollywood. :P
Hi Larry, if you're up for it I'd love to give unpacking the files a try!
@@Xx_m1k3_0X1onG_xX I san send over some of the files that were on DVD, but I got some stuff on these things that look like super thick floppy disks, not zipp disks, they're twice as thick as those.
Maybe someone from the Cutting Room Floor wiki or the Hidden Palace wiki could unpack that?
@@Larry please dump them somewhere
@@priceless073 Will do.
"Bizzare creations, main known for racing games like *Project Gotham Racing*"
*sad BLUR noises*
PGR is there claim to fame after all. And Blur was one of the games that killed them, even though it was great.
motherurck Fair enough.
I'll go for the deep cut of Fur Fighters :-)
BLUR was the shit, needs to be rereleased
To me the best game they did is The Club.
The fact you still haven't reviewed Stranglehold, orthesimsontheds, is amazing:
•Mediocre but fun game
•Kind of movie tie-in
•Third person shooter because that seems to be your thing now AND bullet time mechanic
That just screams minimme review to me
@Brupcat I mean, it was okay, tbh
I really enjoyed that game when i was younger. And it reminds me of a game called "Wet", which still screams minimme review for me lol
That would be awesome. I'd be excited just for the thumbnail.
Orthesimsontheds?
@noided Mediocre has a negative connotation.
Just a recommendation: Speed Racer-The Videogame. Given that you clearly enjoy driving games, this one is... graphically impressive, especially the Wii version, although the PS2 version has a little bit more content. Either way, it is a pretty good game and those who played it, like me, remember it fondly.
It's a fun game.
It also have splitscreen, played it with my little brother a couple of times
I've tried this game on Wii last week and thought it was a bit bland. It seems that the races come down mostly to taking out your opponents since the driving is so simple.
I played the shit out of the DS version
@@she1by same same
Gotta love DS download play
Words can't describe how heartbroken I felt after hearing the Ravensoft game was cancelled. Great vid as always my guy 👌
That Trav Guy It really is heartbreaking! To think we would have had another Daniel Craig 007 adventure, on PS4 and Xbox One of all things, is devastating.
Activation has killed hundreds of talented developers over the years
Thankfully we got 007 Legends instead! *HAHAHAHA*
:(
I absolutely hate what Acti did to Raven, they made some of my favorite games
The DS version of Blood Stone is surprisingly good.
That sounds like a topic for this channel!
*_BLOOD STONE'S WEIRD DS PORT_*
@@WH250398 not weird
Annoying Reptile and is not a port. Is a different game.
Indeed. I got my hands in a copy recently and I didn’t stopped until I finished it. It’s a really good game, with some additional dialogues and more information about Rak in Switzerland. Also the final dialogue between Bond and Nicole is a way lot better than the main console version.
2:18 "oh, no, i'm being shot by an helicopter. Better hide behing this wood cabinet"
Because of this, any time I see a friend with a knife I'll *KNOW* they're a double agent
Yo, Minimme, if you are still reviewing bond games, Id recommend looking at the PC version of Nightfire. it was made BEFORE the console versions, has different levels and gameplay, and it STILL has a multiplayer fanbase TO THIS DAY. Recommend checking it out at the very least.
NIGHTFIRE on PS2 was when I saw the future is here. Then came MGS2. Somehow today's games are far more predictable and nothing surprises you anymore
My childhood game lol hate how everyone hate it
your reviews r very chill
Yes , reasonable dude who doesn't trash people work for the sake of it and is fair. Damn a rarity these day
My hobby is music production, so I really enjoyed that wave form enjoyment graph. Got a good laugh out of me
I beat this one back in 2011 on PS3. When it was over I said to myself, “I hope they make another Bond game one day, because I want more.”
I believe that “seaplane” is the ekranoplan, a weird boat plane mix. Dark Docs made a great video about it
was just about to comment this. it is an ekranoplan
@@gustafrenstrom8549 It was also in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, it's the plane Snake and Eva escape in during the ending.
The "ridiculous looking military seaplane" featured at 7:58 is an old soviet ground effect aircraft, designed to use little fuel to go long distances
I adored this game despite it's flaws, thrilled to see it being covered.
Ever thought about reviewing any of the mysims games? They're tie in games to the sims franchise but each has a widely different play style. I specifically remember playing mysims agents and sky-heroes as a kid.
This is genuinely one of my favourite Bond games out there. None of the others have felt quite so... Bond in the set design and action sequences as this one did for me. It's also the only shooter I've ever played where I've finished it and gone "huh I really wanna try out the hard mode now", and really focused on mastering the stealth and headshots. Loved it.
As someone who's been to istanbul, its a shame as its perfect setting for an actiob game with massive castles, underground chambers and tight streets.
Anyway, whens everything or nothing?
As an Istanbul ..uh Istanbul-itan?? The only time i felt like a game portrayed Istanbul actually properly was the From Russia with love game tbh. Its mad how every time theres an Istanbul episode in a game, even 3A like uncharted 2, they manage to put 70's cars and dark skinned people and women with burkas. Its mad
@@Astarlord yeah i have yet to see a game that can show the wonders of istanbul better, there's so many places you can use yet people always make istanbul seem like a boring place
@@limmynade i mean its slowly becoming a concrete jungle if not already BUT theres SO many historical and sceneric locations that can be used(not to mention population density and variety) while also having actual modern cars.
Yeah despite most things there being built by Greeks before turks took over and turkey spreading propaganda that it's theirs. Like come on man the ruins there are clearly Greek made. If you read history and not propaganda history, but real history then you will see that that architecture was around the time of Constantine. Also, the castle ruins in amazing Greek old cities look the exact same as those so it kinda tells you that a lot of those architectures are Greek. I don't hate turks by any means but I ahte it when they say that the architecture is mostly theirs. The big church you see in "Istanbul" (Constantinople) is purely Greek. And PURELY Greek.
@@stavroskoul732 when Byzantine fell, it became ours. Suck it.
If I remember the story was pulled from the script of a movie they canned when the writers strike happened in 2009. They wanted to make another bond movie but had to put it all on hold. There was something with the game license and they basically chose to make it a game rather than a film
I remember this being a solid game, although I feel ashamed that I remember the bland sewer level more than that crazy opening. Although I played it through to the end, I never felt any need to return to it again.
To me this game seemed like a good introduction to gaming in general it gets you used to techniques in this simple environment.the shooting, driving levels, detective mode, simple stealth, using cover etc
I wondered why I never played this game, then I checked my PS3 trophies. Apparently I did, even replayed it on 007 difficulty.
I do not remember a single thing about this game and none of the footage looked familiar.
I liked this game purely for the reason that it truly felt like a Daniel Craig bond game, it was fast paced with cool car chases, and pretty satisfying shooting and hand to hand takedowns. I always thought Daniel Craig was never very charismatic like the older bobds, but he absolutely nailed the action part of it
Fun Fact: If you own a Japan region PS3, you can’t finish this game lmao. You won’t get past the Monaco level (the 2nd level Iirc) camera hacking game.
In the console , the X button is actually the Back Button. You need to press the X button during the hacking mini game and every time you do, it just cancels the mini game and you can’t actually finish it.
Source: Personal Experience :( . (Reposted my own comment from the Community post over here for visibility. Luckily I’d bought the game pre owned for really cheap so i traded it back for practically no loss. But I feel bad for those with Japanese PS3s who bought the game full price at launch and then realised they couldn’t even finish the game.)
Isn't there an option in the XMB to swap the X and O buttons? Sorry, it's been a long time since I used a PS3 so I can't remember if there was such an option.
And it was never patched??
John Kurian Nah not on mine. I checked everywhere. But it’s just hardwired in the Japanese consoles since that’s the system they’ve been following for years. “O” for Yes, “X” for No.
WH250398 As far as I could tell, no. Activision never bothered with it. After I faced the issue I looked online for any solutions and found some forums where people were facing the same problems on imported consoles / copies of the game. They contacted Activision for help but only got a response that different regions of games might not work properly on different region consoles. Only problem was there was never an Asian region version of this game, only US and Europe so you’re basically SOL. Also apparently Red Dead Redemption has a similar issue in the arm wrestling mini game but Rockstar patched it out. Just shows that Activision doesn’t care.
@@gavinlobo5320 Well Bizarre Creations was murdered very shortly after the game released by Activision, so that's probably why that happened.
No balls, you won’t review the DS version of this game
Man I wish Activision would put this back on Steam. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to hear that the console versions run well and all, but I’m just too much of a PC snob for my own good lol
Also wish they’d ported Goldeneye Reloaded to PC as well. I heard they ported 007 Legends to PC but that port was disastrous on top of being a bad game
a remaster for Everything or Nothing in PC. would be cool as well
They won't, unless it brings them money they don't bother with devoting resources or reupping licenses to anything. They even took down 007 Legends and the Skyfall DLC for Xbox/PS3, so the only way to play it complete is WiiU. I have this game on PS3/360/DS, but will grab a physical disk for PC as soon as I find out if it had a cd key or was drm free.
@matt shut up peasant
Your videos give me those "WAIT!!! I remember this!!" vibes
The game was way more fun than watching Spectre.
I loved this game. Sucks that we'll never get a sequel
Judas Priest's Bloodstone hits my mind whenever I read that title...
Same.
Every single time he said I heard Rob Halford go “BLOOOOD STONE” in my head
@@Scorpie Hahaha! I love that song so much.
”Ridiculous looking plane"
It's not a plane, it's an Ekranoplan and it existed in real lifem(and it worked).
i loved this game and From Russia with Love as well
I can't think of another game that did racing as well as this, it must have cost a fair bit to script everything. Also, I have strong memories of eating a giant gobstopper while playing this game. Dunno why but I remmebered it just now. I don't think I finished the gobstopper before I finished the game, but it was a very large gobstopper.
I play this a couple of times and its pretty competent third-person shooter and a good Bond game overall. Thanks for the review minimme.
Hey Minimme, you should take a look at some of the Sims games on the consoles. O have oddly strong memories of The Sims 1 on the original Xbox, where you did like missions and it was kinda you controlling one person I think? There's also The Sims 2 (there was apparently like a story based one on the PSP), The Urbz in the City and the ones on the DS. I'd also say you should check out some of the really mediocre/odd late Xbox originals around 2005/2006 when the Xbox 360 came out. Stuff like Project Dark Zero, Total Overdose, Mashed, The Outfit, just these complete bizarro games that came out and no one ever saw again
I think that "ridiculous looking military seaplane" is the ekranoplan, a ground-effects craft
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lun-class_ekranoplan
I always got the impression there was content missing from the story, and I’d kill to actually read the scripts or design docs for this game, I always really liked the story I’m this honestly
Oh my God I love this game when I was younger. I really should play it again
GameCorpCrew On RUclips I played it for the first time last year and thought it was great. I looks great and plays well.
All of Bond's non-tux outfits make him look like Tom Hanks.
Best Bond game after Goldeneye. Had a blast with this.
Great review! It is a real shame that this studio got closed down: BLUR is still among the best racing games ever made!
this is my best james bond game i ever played especially online pvp mode its was amazing
They should hire Minimme as a developer for future Bond games i think he'd make a pretty solid Bond game.
The reason that there are sidewalks in Cars is that it takes place after the apocalypse where people have died off and what is left are the cities that they made and the AI cars that still roam them.
The cars are evolved from bugs. MattPat. someone that annoying must be... something.
Gotta say, the quality of your videos has skyrocketed over the last year
You should definitely check out the DS version of this game. I remember playing it a lot as a kid, it was nuts
RIP Bond girl Honor Blackman.
So confused
Never heard of this channel
Never heard of this game
Yet I'm watching the vid
Guess the algorithm works lol
Try his driver San fransisco series
Soon you'll be watching every video of his that gets recommended to you, and you'll eventually subscribe... Happened to me, will happen to you. The cycle continues
lol, welcome to the club kido
I don't remember how I found this channel but it's pure solid gold.
2:10 i like how you cut out that you were going to crash there
Weird Siberian sea plane is actually Ekranoplan -- you can find some good short documentaries here on RUclips. It was another perspective war machine of cold war era and it's cool they inclided it. I watched one just days before and instantly recognized
-Whe don't know what is the blood stone, it's like a phantom
-Ms Stone die near an ocean
Bizarre + (Phantom) Blood + Stone (Ocean) = is that a jojo reference ?
Incidentally I'd love to see you talk about The Club. I've only played a little of Blood Stone but seeing your video makes me want to dig it back up; The Club is a fantastic little arcade shooter (think Mario Kart, but with guns) and no one ever seems to talk about it.
It's always nice to see you review a game you genuinely enjoy; it's a refreshing change of pace from all the bad games most RUclipsrs cover.
Interestingly, rumours leading up to Blood Stone's official announcement constantly stated that this Bizarre Creations title would be a driving / racing 007 game (similar to the very poor 007 Racing on the PS1). Given their background in racing titles, this would make sense, and could explain why Blood Stone's racing segments are a highlight to an otherwise pretty generic 3rd person shooter.
Tony Hawk holding a gun in the thumbnail? My life is complete
Jesus I love this game. Which is more interesting because I'm not big JB fan. But the story, shooting and driving was for young me so great I felt in love with this game. I know there's a lot of nostalgia in this but I played it before Uncharted or Gears so everything was fresh to me
The thumbnails are getting better, they pretty good! Haven't played this game!
This game was fun back then and still fun to play
Everything or nothing someday?
Raven's 007 actually looks like it could have been a massive improvement over Blood Stone, which is a guilty pleasure of mine. Sad that it didn't happen. Hoping Raven Software will find its way back to making non-Call-of-Duty games.
Nah, I loved Blood Stone! The driving was great. Dude, you're on a freakin' yacht in the first mission.
I'm sorry, I just realised this, but this Bond girl chick has a damn CCXR... Mate, there are only like 4 of those in the world!
Not sure if it's just my computer/browser, but the subtitles aren't displaying properly. The lines are layering on top of one another, such that you can only see one line at a time, and even that line is obscured by the letters behind it. That said, great video as always!
Good Video, i subscribed two weeks ago (I think) and I don't regret it... and is there a chance for a NightFire review ?
It's a bummer that this was Bizarre's last game...I absolutely adored The Club and Blur, honestly.
So sad no digital copies exist
I think you've mentioned this game before in a video briefly but I would love to see your review on 2009s "Wheelman" with Vin Diesel being the main character. It came out for the PS3 and Xbox 360. I only ever played the demo.
That one is a guilty pleasure of mine. Most aspects about it suck, but the actual driving controls and features, as well as the upgrade tie-ins, are surprisingly fun to experience, and put some other vehicle-based games to shame.
Am I the only person who thought Blur was a good game? I'm surprised it underperformed.
All u did is explain the game entirely and spoil it. Review is ur opion and explaining the basics. F
Why tf are you uploading at nearly 2am? I wanted to go to bed for fucks sake!
Your voice soothes my soul in these rough times.
hello, the subtitles are completely borked its overlaying one line on top of the other instead of them being together on just 1 talk bubble.
Glad i'm not the one who saw that, i hope he will fix this
I don’t know about you but the later Bizarre Creation game Blur is one of my favorite games ever.
I really enjoyed this game back in the day, and before watching your video I played it again, and... Really enjoyed it, again
first xd xd
i actually have a crazy amount of nostalgis for this game. i was just thinking about it a few weeks ago randomly and thought it was forgotten.
The game it is so boring and very linear it is only fun for play for first time.
8:49 Koenigsegg CCXR. Could even be a Trevita, too, by the looks of things. Good taste right there
EDIT: Not a Trevita, "just" a CCXR, but still one hell of a car choice. The DBS would have no chance.
Watching this late at night in bed on my phone and boy jeepers does that digital flicker effect annihilate my eyes, even at the lowest brightness
You should review a DS port of this game, it is pretty impressive
I would like you to cover The Italian Job video games, as there were two released; one was based on the original 1969 film and developed by Pixelogic and published by Rockstar Games, and the other was based on the 2003 remake, developed by Climax Brighton and published by Eidos Interactive.
The third stage (casino) opening always make feel a nostalgic feeling for some reason dude its so beautiful .
The biggest mystery in this game is how Bond's 510 horsepower Aston Martin could keep up with an 806 horsepower Koenigsegg
Bond cars do tend to be modded
Its like Quantum Solice with better graphics !
Blood Stone is my favourite outing of Daniel Craig's Bond. Aside from Casino Royale I don't like the rest of his movies.
I hated Skyfall so much that I didn't even see anything afterwards.
I like James Bond 007: Blood Stone
I found the channel, I found it, fucking beautiful
James Bond Nightfire is my favorite Bond game.
Oh my god I remember this game , a kick in the ass for James Bond fans
But what about the DS version? Lol
Cool video, but what about Cars for PSP?
I REALLY enjoyed this game. The cliffhanger ending. It's a shame we never got a sequel.
To be fair, it’s not hard to assume she was working for Silva, SPECTRE and/or Safin.
I wish there was an Open world Bond game.
Me too.
I love 007 Blood Stone, but I must agree with you. The first 20 minutes were absolutely phenomenal. After that, it just felt like a drag.
