Since you just reviewed Quantum of Solace, I figured Goldeneye Reloaded would be another interesting topic to look into due to some of the reasons I stated above. @@batmangovno Oh right, it was the Wii version specifically. Sorry about that, had to edit the comment after realzing that minimme would look at some of the other Activision 007 games
Bond’s character model looks great even today IMO. It really looked exactly like Daniel Craig at a time when many character models still didn’t look like the person they were based on (look no further than Lucy in Assassin’s Creed who was supposed to look like Kristin Bell). Hats off to them for getting that part right.
Quantum of Solace is a game that oddly means a whole lot to me, and for a few good reasons! It was the first 007-related purchase I ever made, and for the Wii of all available systems! It quickly hooked me and resulted in me becoming OBSESSED with the Bond franchise there after. I hadn't even seen casino Royale or Quantum at this point. I just really wanted this game! Over the next few years, I lived and breathed 007 and I do wonder if that would have been the case as early on in my life as it was without this game to thank for... I now even own the game on multiple systems: PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and the PS2. I've also gone back to the game numerous times over the years and still enjoy it for what it is! It was also one of the first games I remember making an online friend on in its multiplayer with, but not by talking or anything; no, we "became friends" by etching out small sentences to each other via shooting out words on the walls online whilst everyone else actually played the game modes around us... Good times 🙃 Also: thanks for the nostalgia-indulging video, Minimme! I wish I'd got the chance to play some of the online modes when you were researching them 😉

I remember buying the PC version because I wasn't allowed to play Call of Duty and wanted a Call of Duty type game. I really did enjoy this when I first played it but then playing it a few years later it really isn't perfect, but definitely still enjoyable. Even though the PC version is the "definitive" version, it still had some odd choices like QTE, where instead of it being a button command you had to use your mouse and click on a certain area onscreen. Also it was capped at 30 fps no matter how good your PC is, and the game with mouse and keyboard made it way too easy. I still enjoyed it though and it looks great at higher settings and the cover mechanic was different (although I have never played a Gears game). Overall a good review and I agree with your points about the game, and it was nice to hear from someone who worked on it.

I LOVED this game! Played the campaign probably more than I have any other game, and the multiplayer was amazing. Was in the top 5000 in the world leaderboards, which is saying something given the top 2000 at the time were hacked maxed-out scores.

I had so much fun playing this game as a kid. Multiplayer was awesome and with the gamer score you got for multiplayer progress it was something to work towards
You mentioned something I had never thought of before. “They retell the story of the movie but splice in shootouts everywhere” And it made me think, the bond games really should be much more of a stealth game, huh? Like so where between splinter cell chaos theory and like.. metro exodus
Shame _From Russia with Love_ underperformed, given how great it was. _The World is not Enough_ was my _Goldeneye_ since I had a PS1 & never knew anyone with an N64.
I like that guns are called after Bond movies: V-TAK- a View To A Kill D.A.D. - Die Another Day FRWL - From Russia With Love TND - Tomorrow Never Dies and Mantis may be psycho-mantis but we do not talk about that
Looking forward to the Bloodstone review, that was a great Bond game, the driving sections in that were really cool and fun. The Goldeneye remake on the wii might be the best game in all of Bond though. That game had a great feel to it from the beginning, terrific stealth, everything was recreated for modern times with Daniel Craig in the role. It’s sad that we don’t get Bond games anymore.
I remember playing this on my ps3 I got to like the third mission were you have to escape and walk on a plank To this day I still havent got accross that plank.
Used to love this game as a kid, had a great time with the Golden Gun mode in multiplayer. Would love to see you look at Nightfire aswell, such an awesome game, multiplayer is so goofy and fun.
The multiplayer was such a blast to play, the 360 version had a pretty strong community until around 2015 where alot of those players moved to the new consoles. But there's a few Xbox Clubs, reddit and discord for the multiplayer and they usually announce play days for it today. I just wish it was backwards compatible on the xbox one to keep the multiplayer going now.
I did some QA on this game. My memory is a bit foggy but I remember in MP where if you connected with a melee from behind, it would go into a special 3rd person animation of the kill similar to SP but without the extra QTE. No idea why they didn't keep it. Guess they felt it would leave you vulnerable but it looked cool and was fun to try and land especially in melee battles.
In the first few months of this game I was in the top 100 online. The shotgun was lethal in multiplayer! Not a brilliant game but such fond memories. Great video mate!
I played this on Wii as a kid, and to my memory the map was called Facility on Wii. It was by far my favorite map for online matches (I had no idea it was an N64 remake) and it makes sense why now!

thankyou :)
Great to see your channel is growing!
I had so much fun playing this game as a kid. Multiplayer was awesome and with the gamer score you got for multiplayer progress it was something to work towards
You mentioned something I had never thought of before.
“They retell the story of the movie but splice in shootouts everywhere”
And it made me think, the bond games really should be much more of a stealth game, huh?
Like so where between splinter cell chaos theory and like.. metro exodus
So many memories with this game. I remember first playing it a whole ten years ago and absolutely loved playing the multiplayer it had.
Boxes World same! This game had excellent multiplayer
You honestly have the best thumbnails of all youtube
Shame _From Russia with Love_ underperformed, given how great it was. _The World is not Enough_ was my _Goldeneye_ since I had a PS1 & never knew anyone with an N64.
I still think Bloodstone is one of the better 007 games.
I like that guns are called after Bond movies:
V-TAK- a View To A Kill
D.A.D. - Die Another Day
FRWL - From Russia With Love
TND - Tomorrow Never Dies
and Mantis may be psycho-mantis but we do not talk about that
Don’t know how I fell into this RUclips rabbit hole, but this video is more entertaining than the game itself when I played it all those years ago.
The shotgun in the multiplayer mode was excellent, incredibly accurate.
Awesome review :)
I'm looking forward to you "Blood Stone" review and the other reviews :)
There’s no denying that Treyarch does an amazing job whenever it comes to sound design.
Used to love the multiplayer on PS3 back in the day.
To be honest, I 100% this game on the 360 and the multiplayer was honestly my jam. I absolutely loved it.
Thank you for clarifying, up front, the veracity of those claims regarding your experience with the game. Good to know who one can trust these days.
Check out 007 Bloodstone. It's one of the best Bond games.
It’s sad that we don’t get Bond games anymore.
fun fact: GoldenEye Wii had the biggest Wii development team ever
I remember playing this on my ps3
I got to like the third mission were you have to escape and walk on a plank
To this day I still havent got accross that plank.
I grew up on this game and I adore Mr bond so I know this game isn't amazing, but my god if I don't love it so
looks really good for a 2008 game ngl
Used to love this game as a kid, had a great time with the Golden Gun mode in multiplayer. Would love to see you look at Nightfire aswell, such an awesome game, multiplayer is so goofy and fun.
The game's online multi-player was fantastic. It had great mechanisms and I had spent hundreds of hours in it!
I loved this game back in 2008
The online play for this game was really good
I don't know why, but I absolutely adored this game as a kid and I'm glad to see someone reviewing it!
18:43 the wii version had split screen my brother and I would 1v1 for hours
3:04 top right
Based strike it should make it much harder for things to be made
Can you please review the Bolt tie in for the 360 and PS3? It's set in the fictional show from the movie
Just found this game at my local bookstore for 4$ and I couldn't be happier
I just remember the PS2 Quantum of Solace game that was fully 3rd person and really fun. Sad my disc of it broke
huh.. you to have a youtube channel. with said subscriber amount. I will happily eat my words.
yes u were pranked hehe (gg)
In the first few months of this game I was in the top 100 online. The shotgun was lethal in multiplayer! Not a brilliant game but such fond memories. Great video mate!
You play in a clan at all?
Hello i am a new subscriber ....and gosh darn it you are great mate
thankyou :)
Why does this game look so graphically good!! Goodwork as always minimme my boy
Minimme review: this game sucks,
"Plays it until he figures things out"
This is actually pretty good
First version I played was the Wii one and I liked the game enough that I bought the 360 game. Thanks for the dose of nostalgia with this quality vid
I played this on Wii as a kid, and to my memory the map was called Facility on Wii. It was by far my favorite map for online matches (I had no idea it was an N64 remake) and it makes sense why now!
i had this game on xbox 360 it was actually pretty good imo
This game runs on IW engine, which is the same as COD4, you can bounce/elevator in Quantum of Solace
I loved this game 😍 was thinking about it the other day, mad how you’ve made a video on it just a few days later 🤯
That last quote at the end was really sweet
You should cover the DS version of this game, it is right up your alley in weirdness and could be a super interesting retrospective
this was my first multiplayer shooter I played online!!! such great memories, especially the nail gun XD.
