I love the simple and traditional style of your knives, and think you have a very good screen presence. Would you consider a video on sharpening and maintenance of your blades? I know RUclips is full of them but I would appreciate your take as that would round things off nicely. What about sheaths, do you make them too?
Howdy: Are you going to do a part three, where you finish the MM knife with the deer leg bone handle? I'm really interested to see how you do that? I'm considering making one myself, and was curious? I';m still struggling with the poured pewter bolsters.:~((((( Thank you. LOVE the videos even though I don't forge anymore. I'm too old and in poor health so I still make knives, but now I use the stock removal method. God bless: Dave
@@oldsouthforge831 Really?? Wow like your style brother. It's my wife's name on this account but my name is Chad, but I'm digging your style and ways just country boy ways. Just wanted to say thinks for keeping it Southern and I would love to learn all I can from you!!! So how exactly do you do the purter bolsters??? Lol ,but really would learn your ways...
Man I really appreciate you watching and glad to know you enjoy the channel! I will get a new video out soon. But yep. I forge in the bevels and then file them to finish. The more you can get in with the hammer is less you have to file.
@@oldsouthforge831 thanks man. I love your knives. I have learned a lot from watching your videos. I'm still learning and very green. Please keep the videos coming. You are the man.

You are a genuine hard working man and should be proud of what you can do with what leisure time you have.

Thank you Lana for watching. I forge in my bevels and use a plain ole hand file

What steel do you use for your knives? Is it a 10 series or tool steel? Thanks Chad. I'm really enjoying that channel
I mostly use 1095 and 5160. On occasion I have used 3140 gun steel
