This lawyer needs to be applauded. He played this perfectly. Sometimes it's best to just people on the stand ramble. More often than not, they end up hanging themselves all on their own! Well done.

This doctor actually terrified me. Diagnosing someone despite never talking to him, what a shame of a “professional”
He didnt diagnose him. He stated that on the MMSE Depps memory was bad for a 58 year old.
The doctor admitted to diagnosing his patients the same way he deduced Johny’s cognitive state.
It is called forensic psychology. It is widely accepted in courtrooms and is nothing controversial.
He didnt diagnose anyone.
And yes you can identify diseases/issues without having spoken to someone, for instance bloodtest results. Video recordings. Happens all the time.
He should be in the next Silence of the Idiots…?

This psychiatrist is in love with his own voice. He is unprofessional, condescending and I can’t believe that the Judge didn’t throw out his testimony after telling him many times to just answer the question.

You'd be SURPRISED to realize how easy it is for basically any ambulatory transfer student at a community college to get into some of the best Universities and go on to get a Masters & PhD in Psychology as a mediocre student & person. The entire field of Psychology is one of the least competitive if not the least competitive of the "Sciences" to get a Degree.

Definitely. I’ve worked with a lot of Drs as an assistant and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard them gossip about patients conditions behind their back but put up a smile when they talk to them. A huge majority of ppl become Drs for the status and money and honestly they don’t give a crap about caring for patients at all.
This guy absolutely terrifies me. The way he speaks, the way he gestures around, what he is saying, his attitude... everything is raising red flags by me.

We certainly need to trust Doctors with our lives since they literally operate on it... BUT trusting our doctors (aka people that we know are qualified experts we have built a trust relation with) with our lives doesn't mean to blindly follow one person's we don't know anything about opinion.
Trust is meant to be built. That's why we trust our doctors.
You know, I used to tell my cousin that there aren't real people who are as deranged as some of the characters in GTA. But then I watched this Trial and I found myself taking that statement back every time one of Amber's witnesses came up. Her whole legal team were a bunch of dribbling clowns.

Well yeah, he clearly stole a doctor’s clothes to sneak out, but on his way out people pulled him in for an emergency so he had to play along and he’s been playing along ever since because he didn’t think he’d ever get that far.

It is literally unethical for any therapist to give a diagnosis without personally assessing an individual in their office. You just can't look at someone, listen to them and diagnose them just from that, without ever talking to them personally

He is a prime example of what makes people NOT seek mental health treatment. His own mental health seems questionable. I’m truly concerned for his prior patients and anyone who has been his victim by means of misdiagnosis, gross lack of judgment, and people he’s testified for/against in the past. Not only did he inaccurately assess Johnny, but he inaccurately assessed Amber also (which is what he was paid to do TBH). He completely had them reversed, and he shows some of those traits himself. The bit about Johnny lacking empathy and Amber being an empathetic person was just too much!
I understand what you're saying, but who knows what chain of events made him reach the position he found himself in.
It seems like he knows how wrong he is but has no choice but to do it anyway. Hence the obvious discomfort and arrogance.

My father is an attorney and his sister (my aunt) is a psychologist. They are both completely appalled with how AH’s team has conducted themselves and my aunt can’t believe this guy is an expert witness.
