- Paper Mario has been around for almost two decades now, and those of us that have played it countless times are looking for new challenges. Common restrictions include no upgrading heart points, completing the game without upgrading partners, or restricting the number of level ups.
Because of this game's incredible glitches, we can create new challenges that would otherwise be impossible. Chapter 6 is not among the game's glitchiest segments, but Loading Zone Storage gives us a handful of opportunities - and it's possible to finish the whole chapter without any partner swaps or berries. By name, the Crystal Berry is an exception, however, it is classified as a Key Item. The other berry items are edible and infinitely obtainable. Most importantly, they are used to pass through various gates, and are the ones we'll be skipping. We also avoid switching partners, just to make things more difficult. The result? A combination of extremely challenging LZS exploits used to skip these requirements.
I included the frame-perfect counter similar to Saving the Yoshi Kids Without Sushie. Keep in mind I limited this to "required" frame-perfect inputs to perform this series of glitches optimally. There are plenty of other times where perfect movement is executed, but it would be misleading to add every single frame-perfect instance.
The sheer difficulty of this challenge required special tools to play to theoretical perfection. Each button input was recorded and later played back at full speed to show this is possible. That said, even the most experienced Paper Mario players would likely never complete this challenge.

At 2:58 you say that button presses are accurate up to 1/30th of a second. Wouldn't it instead be 1/15th since the game needs at least one frame of no buttons being pressed in order to distinguish between a button hold, and a different button press?
That would only apply if he would be touching the ground for more than a frame. Since the input can only ocurr on the frame of him touching the ground, the input has to be 1/30th of a second perfect. You are probably confusing this with tricks in mario64, like scaling those pillars, where you have to jump every other frame.

I would rather backtrack and do the fetch quests...trying to do frame perfect inputs is stressful.

HEY Stryder7x!!!!! I need your help solving a very minor mystery with my wii version paper mario.
I played the paper mario 2000 on the wii system like normal.
I did not use any glitches. I did not use any hacks.
When I reached Peaches Castle on the final chapter with mario. very time I entered a room I would hear a soft country voice "Yeah"
It didn't matter weather I went into the library or the bedroom where toad was hiding. I heard a voice say "yeah" every time I open a door. And when I went further into peaches castle, and opened the door. It then said "Alright"

you're not making it clear that this is a tas. in fact you're making it sound like you're playing it live. new people to speedrunning are not going to understand the difficulty of frame perfect inputs, and will think they're simple.

Speedrunners are like: *So you need to do this double frame perfect input, angle perfect input, do this thing every 3 frames exactly, then mash this button for exactly 34 frames. This saves you a good 4 seconds.*

You have to spell his name with proper capitalisation, meaning you can't guess his name until you get the lower case p because you physically can't correctly input his name. There could be some glitch I suppose though.
