Watch those tricky trees, they will jump out in front of you. I know they are sneaky little bastards lol. I really think they hate green bikes more than other colors 😆
I'm getting an '01 w/Woods pipe this week. They are going through all maintenance items and checking for replacement piston today. Compression was good. I've sat on it and started it. Everything was great but I smelled a hint-o-coolant so they are pressure testing, etc. One day I'll drop the $300 and get the Rev pipe but I'm not riding wide open spaces so it's not urgent. What is urgent is rigging a way to plate it like my '95 XR250R was. Super cool dealer friend of mine Seattle Used Bikes. He started Ducati Seattle then came a corporate beat down long story. "Bob was in today working on KDX trying to catch up. new pads front and rear installed, flushed hydraulics too. topped off coolant. Got some of the Klotz racing oil Mark ran and will set it up with Mark's recommended ratios. He did basic chassis service too, chain, pivots points etc, checked swingarm and steering. Pulled filter and cleaned, tomorrow he will run bore scope thru carb to inspect reeds and then down spark plug hole to look at pistons, Try to get good pic too if possible. Compression was good, I forget what he mentioned, There will be notes. Pete came by Sat and walked him thru a few more items to check."
Motocross racing bike thrashing. Don't waste your time and money on the wrong bike for trail riding. It should be obvious that this poor motor is struggling to deal with slow trail riding.
Tips? They can be smooth or wild depending on how you tune them. I like the mix I have. Change your gearbox oil, make sure suspension is how you like it. The rear shock is set up for 180lb riders, the forks are for 130lb or so… many people tune the suspension to match. I’d say that is key. The bike is great otherwise! Agree with the purple, that’s a neat combination. Enjoy it!
@@jwinter228 I’m gonna try tuning it for a medium to slow trail speed. (Max of 25 mph) I’ll mostly be riding either on hard dirt, or rocks/roots and ruts. Think (your state initial) XCR.
@@Gma7788 wym? All dirt bikes now a days are “designed” to race. Just depends to what degree they do from the factory. Some are SX, others are Enduro. Each have their strengths and weaknesses. Just so happens that SX bikes are harder to learn on then enduro bikes. Plus your learning the basics at a lot slower speeds doing enduro than on supercross.

KDXs have a happy, willing soul and it rubs off on you.
Good run

No one fucking cares no one needs a paragraph about how you won’t ride your bike💀

@@Gma7788 You're wrong. KDX can do it all bro.
That is exactly what that bike was built for..sure wish kawasaki would bring them back
Wrong.
Stop saying misinformation to us.
This bike is a motocross racing bike and doesn't have anything to do with trail riding.

@@Hellofadrive hahahaha your KIPS is probably broken! They are famous for the KIPS rattle...I thought my bike was broken when I first got it🤣🤣🤣

It's a struggling engine straining under the idiot rider.
He was sold the wrong bike for the job.
You should make a video where you flat tap on the highway
Haha will consider it
that single track hill thinggy thing is pretty sweet

The worst bike design for beginners.
Seeing a race bike being used as a tractor is depressing.
