One of my favorite Devin Hester moments isn't shown in this. It was when the Seahawks returner got hurt right before the playoffs and they brought the man Hester to be their guy after he had been out of the leauge for a while. He came in against his old team the Falcons and played his heart out. You could just tell how bad he wanted to get in the end zone that game one final time. It was a great one for him though and was so close to taking it all the way twice.

Watching him do his thing has always brought a smile to my face. Thank you NFL Throwback for putting this together and allowing us fans to see him at his best.
Ray Guy got in The Hall as the best punter, so it makes sense to have the best return man ever in as well. It wasn't that his skills became less when his return stats started to dip. It was that he educated the league that it was a very bad idea to kick to him. He was able to switch and also became a good receiver (even with Cutler throwing to him).
One of the absolute best things I love watching his highlights on kick returns, is his teammates. They all just know how to set it up. And when he gets going, he's always got some people in front of him, setting up the wall. Because they knew, that every time this man touched the football, he had the ability to take it the distance. And knowing that, gave them the ability to fly and put in that level of effort every return and get out in front.

Ikr. Crazy thing is I remember watching when they drafted him in the 1st round and I said, “seriously, they’re gonna take a SPECIAL TEAMS “SPECIALIST” with their first pick in the draft? Why? Why? Why? We have much bigger needs and it would be much more valuable to the team to get a player at a more impactful position. Wow, what a stupid pick.” …oh I was so unbelievably happy to be that foolishly wrong to think drafting him in the first was stupid. Even looking back on it I’ve thought, “they honestly could have got him in the 2nd, maybe the 3rd. Then they could’ve grabbed a qb/wr/db/etc in the first and been even better.” -but nope, doesn’t matter if they “could’ve” got him later, when that kind of talent is available, you take it immediately…no matter what. So happy the GM for the🐻 was smart enough to make sure they got Devin! Now let’s put him in the HOF!
Dimitris Bright No doubt he should be considered for the HOF but still no excuse to throw shade. Just because Hester came through and broke a couple records doesn’t mean it diminishes what Mitchell did.
Devin Hester has to be one of my favorite players of all time. It’s hard to be that good at returning kicks and punts. I think he definitely deserves to be in the HOF but I know he probably won’t get in because he is a Return Specialist and that isn’t really acknowledged as a big position and some people think that the position just doesn’t do enough for them to get in.
mritizwatitiz yeah honestly I don’t think the selection committee looks at some of these important stats, because I don’t always think they make the right choices

@@OfficiallySmiles yep well deserved. Prolly not another return specialist like him any time soon given how the game has changed and the role of returners today sadly.
Devin Hester, you will NEVER be forgotten. The greatest returner of all time #HOF

Consistently, one of the most exciting NFL players I've ever seen.
Devin Hester, like the great return men before him, probably couldn't explain how he does it. IT'S ALL INSTINCT!
The GOAT. Canton is waiting for this man.
I watched the Bears draft him and I got so excited to have a real return man on my team. I knew he was special but soon it was obvious he was not special. He was Spectacular.
No he wasn’t…he was ridiculous!!!
One of my Fav NFL players ❤
Watching him do his thing has always brought a smile to my face. Thank you NFL Throwback for putting this together and allowing us fans to see him at his best.
Ray Guy got in The Hall as the best punter, so it makes sense to have the best return man ever in as well. It wasn't that his skills became less when his return stats started to dip. It was that he educated the league that it was a very bad idea to kick to him. He was able to switch and also became a good receiver (even with Cutler throwing to him).
He was my favorite player until Bears made him a receiver and he started getting hit hard.. He was killing them on returns..running everything back
One of the absolute best things I love watching his highlights on kick returns, is his teammates. They all just know how to set it up. And when he gets going, he's always got some people in front of him, setting up the wall. Because they knew, that every time this man touched the football, he had the ability to take it the distance. And knowing that, gave them the ability to fly and put in that level of effort every return and get out in front.
Such a blessing to have you on our team bro thank you we will never have another player like you your amazing sir!!
Living in Wisconsin and being a Packer fan, he ruined a few of my Sunday's.
Being a Fan Ruined Your Life And Marriage
😭😂 bro I'm a Packers fan to and do u know how many times they have ruined the bears fans sunday's
@@marks6394 I Hope Your House Gets Covered In Snow
@@adambarrera8033 It does at least a few times a year. But anyway, I'm not as much of a Packer or NFL, NBA, or MLB fan in general anymore. When I want to be preached to I go to church.Taking a break for awhile.
Versus ruining EVERY Sunday for us even seemingly hopeful wins...
....i think you were ok
He deserves a HOF spot. Regardless of the fact he was special teams he is the best kick/punt returner of all time no doubt.

Have season tickets to bears. Went to every single home game the year they went to Super Bowl vs colts. Went to every home playoff game also. It was a magical year I will never forget.
This was so beautiful to watch. Wow. Just seen his interview on I am athlete. Much respect and funny as hell. Let’s not forget handsome. Enjoy your life my guy. You deserve it
A HOF player in Torey Holt said the guy is a game changer, he changes games!! Wow respect and real recognize real
Thank God we had him in Chicago. what a blessing
Wow, what a stupid pick.”
…oh I was so unbelievably happy to be that foolishly wrong to think drafting him in the first was stupid.
In Madden(17) i always pick him to be my returner n when he takes to the house I say Devin Hester you are still ridiculous lol
Straight up poetry in motion! What a player!
Heater was amazing!! Incredible skill and abilities
We love you, Hester. Thank you for the amazing memories in Chicago. The best of times with Mr. Ridiculous.
Low key Brian Mitchell tried to throw shade. He could’ve just complimented Hester and kept it moving 🤦🏾♂️😒
Because we ALL know that Brian Mitchell was Devin Hester before Devin Hester. Hester will be a HOF...after Brian Mitchell finally gets in
Dimitris Bright No doubt he should be considered for the HOF but still no excuse to throw shade. Just because Hester came through and broke a couple records doesn’t mean it diminishes what Mitchell did.
Mitchell did it longer but Hester was more dynamic
As a packers fan… one of my favorite players ever and mad respect 🫡
Devin Hester has to be one of my favorite players of all time. It’s hard to be that good at returning kicks and punts. I think he definitely deserves to be in the HOF but I know he probably won’t get in because he is a Return Specialist and that isn’t really acknowledged as a big position and some people think that the position just doesn’t do enough for them to get in.
the 2006 bears offense cored 29 times and turned the ball over 34 times yet went 13-3... hester was definitely part of the reason why they were 13-3
mritizwatitiz yeah honestly I don’t think the selection committee looks at some of these important stats, because I don’t always think they make the right choices
ZJohn_81 agreed. Hester is and always will be the greatest returner of all time. He could swing the momentum of a game at any given time and really carried the bears offense in rough time when he wasn’t even apart of it.
#HesterToCanton
As a die hard Chicago Bears fan, this was a heart melting video to watch... Yet I watch it over and over... I only wish he was wearing blue and orange when he broke Deion’s record... First ballot HALL OF FAMER...

True definition of be the best at what you do
Thank you, I still watch his highlights. I hope he gets into canton. GOD bless
One of the dumbest rules now to kickoff at the 35 yard line. Now it's just touchbacks. I miss kickoff returns
Facts, I was just thinking about the same thing
It makes the game safer overall. Not to mention, it’s extremely difficult to return kicks for TD’s, his records will most like never be touched anyway!
@@heavyizthacrown-5842 u support 2 hand touch nfl i bet
@@cocohotheatclips8264 u can be for hard hitting football and also realize the kickoff is a needlessly dangerous part of it. Yes it’s exciting but it’s also the most dangerous part of the game. Glad it’s mostly gone.
Greatest returner ever. Honored to share the same name as him. LEGEND

Hester didn't need much room/help but watching his ENTIRE punt team charged up to block for him you could just sense the energy having a guy like Devin returning that football. & Yes I was in High School at the game 0:55 crying my heart out on Monday Night Football when we kicked to him lol. The 561 West Palm Beach/Riviera Beach area is proud of him.
Growing up used to watch DEION SANDERS returning like crazy - then when HESTER showed up I’m like wait a minute - the part when they showed him high stepping, then the open arm celebration, then him giving Deion his respects at the commentators table- MUCH RESPECT to this young man…… I love it- break a record and still pay homage- he even wanted to give DEION the ball.. that speaks volumes 💪🏽💯
Half way throughout the video you think the highlights are gonna stop and they dont 😂 Hester was that man.. Bear Down.
I rewind the superbowl kickoff about 30 times, because boy that was an exciting moment as a bears fan
Best player to ever play the game. Football hasn't been the same without him.
Going into the hall tonight 💯 As A Bears fan since an infant, I’m glad i got to watch every single one of those returns live 💜 Thank you Devin
Absolute Beast. Absolute G.O.A.T. Thank you, Mr.Anytime! Thank you, Chicago Bears and Thank you, N F.L.!!!
And now Hester is HoF.
Not gonna lie...when he did that high step at #20....someone nearby started cutting onions
At some point he was to get into the Hall of Fame. He by far is the BEST Special Teams Return Man ever.

dominates for his age , here in Chicago we love you Hester ! I remember watching him play when I was just in grade school I turned 26 this month ! Good memories , his cousin was actually my math teacher throughout high school miss Hester , she used to give out football game tickets we would have raffles and 1 lucky person got tickets up front . I never won the raffles but I was able to get my football signed by him in 2014 I lost that ball a few years ago during a move wish I still had it :(
Beautiful....poetry in motion
