@@II_JP_II No, he really didn't. His best year was 21 TD's with 6 INT's. Lamar Jackson just threw 36 TD's to 6 INT's in his second year.
He also only had 2 years with a completion percentage above 60%. You know how many QB's have a completion percentage this year better than Michael Vick's best years...pretty much every QB in the league. It is easier to name the QB lower than 60% than those that are higher.
Michael Vick was exciting, but by every measure he was a mediocre QB. You do know that out of the 32 starting QB's in the league this year not a single starting QB had as low a completion percentage as Michael Vick's career average. In Fact, if you take Michael Vick's best year (62.6% Completion percentage) at least 20 QB's would be better than he was in his best year. He was not accurate and by no measure was he an elite QB.
He was fun to watch. That is about it.

@@wadopotato33 Winner Winner, hats off sir. He was electrifying to watch and ahead of his time. I never claimed he was a Drew Brees, we know that's not close in terms of accuracy. I still think his overall skill package did make him a monster weapon on offense at the QB position. I can agree his accuracy wasn't the best. I still would have loved to see an offense with him and a Julio Jones in it that he could throw to. (and Lamar is in a league of his own- and also has had some wonderful play calling to capitalize on his skills)

As far as raw physical talent, Mike Vick might be the best I've ever seen. Blazing speed, unreal arm talent, sensed pressure like he had eyes in the back of his head. With some weaponry and good coaching, he would have burnt the record book to ashes. We got to see a glimmer of it when he was the starter for the Eagles with Andy Reid. For a short period there, he lit it up. Surprised they didn't win the Super Bowl that season. Probably would have if it weren't for Akers missing some field goals.

If Michael Vick is running towards the end zone and you are like 2 yards behind him, might as well just stop running and save your energy because you ain’t catchin him, one of the greatest players I’ve seen

I know right. I saw him in college & he was blazing fast as a qb. I'm not a Va Tech fan but ex was but when I saw him I was like play it was unreal. I mean he played in the National Championship & gave the Noles defenders a headache. Much respect

kobeshow24allday He would have still been a shitty passing QB who was only good at running. Vick had two actual good years as a complete QB (the year he threw for 20 TDs and ran for 1000 yards), and one was with the Eagles.

8MoneyIzmyMission8 , You’re an idiot that only looks at stats. He was apart of two historical games. The one against Bret Farve and the comeback against the Giants with only 7 minutes left. Tell me one game where Brady came back from a 20+ deficit with only 7 mins in the 4th quarter. I’ll wait.

    • @8MoneyIzmyMission8
      @8MoneyIzmyMission8 6 лет назад +1

Seriously Not Justin Roiland you fucking moron. Matt Flynn threw for over 400 yards and 6 TDs in a game, breaking Gren Bay records. Tim Tebow beat the Steelers and had 300 yards on 10 completions breaking an NFL record, also winning in OT in that game, on one play in the playoffs. Playing in a historic game doesn't mean shit.
Vick was an extremely inaccurate QB, his passing stats, you know, what a QB should be doing, are some of the worse for a multi year starter in NFL history. In his entire career he scored more than 3 rush TDs in a season, only 3 times.
Russell Wilson has played only 6 years but has more than half of Vick's career rush yards and just under half of his rush TDs. Wilson's Rookie season would be the second best season in Vick's career, hell Wilson's worst season statistically would be Vick's s cond best season.
In the 7 years where Vick played in at least 10 games, he led his team to the playoffs 3 times. Only one of those teams had more than 8 wins.
As a Louisiana native and watching Saints and Cowboys games when I was younger, I saw Vick play plenty, so I know what I'm talking about.

The bigger question would be: " What if Vick actually gave a damn during his Atlanta time?"
His work ethic during his time in Atlanta was shit. He has said several times in interviews that the coaches would make DVD's and playbooks for him to study, and he just threw them in the trunk of his car to never look at them again.

@Joe Yeah, he fucked up and did some awful things. Some people also abuse drugs and do awful things.
Despite that, they come back and end up being contributing members of society. Mike Vick fits this category. Would you also put down the former drug addict that has been clean for a decade? No? Then shut the fuck up. He did his time and knows what he did was wrong. And came out a better person for it. So quit being an idiot that doesn't understand when forgiveness is warranted. You look silly.

We are human and we all make some dumb decisions but there's alot to say about a man that admits his wrongdoing, takes his punishment, and comes back a better person.

My favorite player in the NFL by a LONGSHOT. People want to say he was just a "mobile QB"he did a lot more. Do you see the darts and bombs he throws?? He had a cannon for an arm, and the accuracy was there too, look at his rookie game against Miami, ridiculous. His speed needs no explanation.
