Better Oline schemes I agree with but protection of slides didn't affect his play at all, he never got hurt except the broken leg which wasn't because of sliding
Yo...If the Falcons went all in on Vick the way the Ravens went all in on Lamar, they would have been unstoppable. The craziest part of all this is that the talent of Michael Vick was never truly maximizined

My favorite player in the NFL by a LONGSHOT. People want to say he was just a "mobile QB"he did a lot more. Do you see the darts and bombs he throws?? He had a cannon for an arm, and the accuracy was there too, look at his rookie game against Miami, ridiculous. His speed needs no explanation.
everybody talks about his running but not enough people talk about his throwing. i mean its not just that he had a straight up cannon as an arm, that man threw spirals like it was nothing, its just beautiful to watch.
lol most of yall even back then never saw Vick play unless it was a national game OR like me, you were downloading the games off torrent, his 06 season when he ran for 1000 yards was like watching barry sanders play QB, you really missed out if you didnt get to see him play that year
It wasn't just his speed, there's plenty of 4.2 guys out there. To me it's his agility and his total awareness of what to do to take the other man out his shoes. There truly can be only one Michael Vick
I don’t care about stats or off the field issues, this man deserves to be in the hall of fame for just simply being a once in a lifetime player. There never was one like him before and hasn’t been one since.
Any rookie/amateur can do a QB 'Sneak'. Even old Tom Brady still does QB sneaks. What Vick did was a QB Draw. He was not the first, and is not the last to do it successfully. You have Randall Cunningham, Kordell Stewart, Cam Newton, and MANY others. They are not Michael Vick and he is NOT them. Vick truly did run like a running back, not a QB scrambling for yards.
If Michael Vick is running towards the end zone and you are like 2 yards behind him, might as well just stop running and save your energy because you ain’t catchin him, one of the greatest players I’ve seen
It was pretty easy to beat the Falcons in Madden 2004. Just pick a team with a good running back and control time of possession. On defense, have a linebacker hot route to QB spy and pray Vick doesn't score a TD.
As a life-long Eagles fan going back to the Ron Jaworski days, until the Eagles won it all this year I thought the comeback vs the Giants was the greatest thing I ever saw
kobeshow24allday He would have still been a shitty passing QB who was only good at running. Vick had two actual good years as a complete QB (the year he threw for 20 TDs and ran for 1000 yards), and one was with the Eagles.
8MoneyIzmyMission8 , You’re an idiot that only looks at stats. He was apart of two historical games. The one against Bret Farve and the comeback against the Giants with only 7 minutes left. Tell me one game where Brady came back from a 20+ deficit with only 7 mins in the 4th quarter. I’ll wait.
Seriously Not Justin Roiland you fucking moron. Matt Flynn threw for over 400 yards and 6 TDs in a game, breaking Gren Bay records. Tim Tebow beat the Steelers and had 300 yards on 10 completions breaking an NFL record, also winning in OT in that game, on one play in the playoffs. Playing in a historic game doesn't mean shit. Vick was an extremely inaccurate QB, his passing stats, you know, what a QB should be doing, are some of the worse for a multi year starter in NFL history. In his entire career he scored more than 3 rush TDs in a season, only 3 times. Russell Wilson has played only 6 years but has more than half of Vick's career rush yards and just under half of his rush TDs. Wilson's Rookie season would be the second best season in Vick's career, hell Wilson's worst season statistically would be Vick's s cond best season. In the 7 years where Vick played in at least 10 games, he led his team to the playoffs 3 times. Only one of those teams had more than 8 wins. As a Louisiana native and watching Saints and Cowboys games when I was younger, I saw Vick play plenty, so I know what I'm talking about.
The bigger question would be: " What if Vick actually gave a damn during his Atlanta time?" His work ethic during his time in Atlanta was shit. He has said several times in interviews that the coaches would make DVD's and playbooks for him to study, and he just threw them in the trunk of his car to never look at them again.
Why people always say that? Yeah like in the future all QB's are going to run rampant NFL defenses. Vick was one of a kind but not ahead of his time, same as Bo Jackson, Jordan, Deion, etc..
The greatest dual threat qb ever. He could throw it 50 yards with just a flick of the wrist while on the move. Also he is a human joystick and the absolute best QB on the actual joystick Madden games. I love Michael Vick and it was very depressing when the dog fighting killed his character. But it was also inspiring how he was able to overcome and become a better person and even made a successful career as an analyst. Amazing
Randall Cunningham cracked the door open, but Vick opened the Floodgates for Dual Threat QBs such as Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, RG3, Kapernick etc. I honestly think if it wasn't for the 2 years he spent incarcerated, his influence on the game would have him in HOF consideration.
Simon McQuinn if you think Vick is a hall of famer then youre a joke , like I said great athlete, overrated quarterback know the positions , his completion pct was horrible like mark Sanchez pct

How? Plenty of qbs ran before vick and we’re fast.

@@MrSPIDEY21 his only comparable would be Randall Cunningham.
@@ThePoetNamedT yes. I wouldn’t say he inspired them. There were multiple qbs like him. It’s just that it was frowned upon in the nfl. Even allen iverson was a faster version of vick BEFORE VICK in highschool living in the same area

That falcons team with Warrick dunn...tj duckett snd number 7 wad off the charts......
Of course he had speed but also great football instincts and a rocket arm, the most exciting player to watch in NFL history.

@Gannon Gaslin well you’re comment didn’t age well considering Lamar and the Baltimore Ravens are leading our division into the playoffs
Maui Waui I said it cause I don't like jackson because everyone is being bandwagons and liking him now.
He really did have that Barry Sanders elusiveness with his cuts. He’s still the fastest quarterback I’ve ever seen.

One of the most impressive QB’s to watch. Probably the most athletic as well.
Putting aside the personal aspect of Vick, he’s one of those players that you hate to have your team play against, but would’ve loved to have him on your team.
Vick was so fast he's teammates couldn't catch up to him, so he had to defend himself at that point.
That statement really says a helluva lot about the man, like "are you seeing this shit" levels of daaaaammmmnnn.
My favorite player of all time.
He revolutionized the game. He made it to where every team had to adjust.
He also changed the QB position forever.
Randal Cunningham
@Joe then why are you here? 😂
@Joe like I agree that he did some messed up things but that doesn't mean he wasn't a good football player
@Joe Yeah, he fucked up and did some awful things. Some people also abuse drugs and do awful things.
Despite that, they come back and end up being contributing members of society. Mike Vick fits this category. Would you also put down the former drug addict that has been clean for a decade? No? Then shut the fuck up. He did his time and knows what he did was wrong. And came out a better person for it. So quit being an idiot that doesn't understand when forgiveness is warranted. You look silly.
@@cmillertime7477 man i totally agree. The guy served his time, apologized, and truly understands that he fucked up. What more can you ask from a man. We are human and we all make some dumb decisions but there's alot to say about a man that admits his wrongdoing, takes his punishment, and comes back a better person.
He had the most amazing throws.. So effortless
I think they said a MLB team tried to recruit as a pitcher even though he didn't play baseball since he was in 8th grade. Crazy.
Hes got one of the tightest spirals to this day no doubt
He threw it 65 yards in the air to Gayler on a wrist flick. R u kidding me? Lamar Jackson can't do that.
The most naturally talented QB hands down. Arm strength for days, tight spiral like a bullet, and he’s basically Barry Sanders when he runs the ball
Effortless is definitely the word that always came to mind. He’d throw it 60+ yards and didn’t even look like he had to wind up.
This man was a hell of a football player, a highlight every Sunday he'd put on a jersey. Players like him don't come around very often just a freak of nature
He owned a whole era, his strength is underrated and his arm
Sean ThaRealtor rocket arm
I heard when he was a boy his momma would take him and his siblings to the swimming pool where he would strength train by tickling joe Biden's leg hairs and water splashing with Corn Pop.
The Ravens need to get Michael Vick to mentor Lamar Jackson and the rest would be history.

079 Rod yes yes yes so true..
I remember that play in madden. Had to use your fastest LB around 80 speed to do it, otherwise it wouldn't work on Vick lol.
Nothing but sheer speed, elusiveness and laser beams. He was amazing
Michael Vick is one of my all-time favorite NFL players. I'm not saying he is or was the greatest QB to ever play the game but he is by far one of the most interesting to watch. Truly was a running back who could also throw the football.
THE BEST MOBILE QUARTERBACK EVER!

Imagine if they had zone reads and options.. imagine if QB slides were protected like today . This man would have been something else
Better Oline schemes I agree with but protection of slides didn't affect his play at all, he never got hurt except the broken leg which wasn't because of sliding
Thats what made him special though. He didn't need any of that and he became a legend
Yo...If the Falcons went all in on Vick the way the Ravens went all in on Lamar, they would have been unstoppable. The craziest part of all this is that the talent of Michael Vick was never truly maximizined
Maybe he would have started killing humans as well as dogs.
good point, vick played without the protections they got now. lamar jackson is NOT vick, that people are saying so pisses me off. he aint even close to vick.

Malik Lander he just said in the video that scandal propelled him to be what he was in Philly so he needed that to mature as a man and a QB

If there is one thing I want in life is to go back in time and see how good Mike Vick was i don't think anyone will do it better than Mike Vick

14 mins of pure Goatness. It was unbelievable what Vick could do it was like the matrix.
His armstrength was his secret weapon. At 3:00 I think few other QBs in history could throw a dart like that
everybody talks about his running but not enough people talk about his throwing. i mean its not just that he had a straight up cannon as an arm, that man threw spirals like it was nothing, its just beautiful to watch.
lol most of yall even back then never saw Vick play unless it was a national game OR like me, you were downloading the games off torrent, his 06 season when he ran for 1000 yards was like watching barry sanders play QB, you really missed out if you didnt get to see him play that year
And you likely never saw Randall Cunningham play. He was the ORIGINAL Mike Vick.
I saw both of them play. They were both good. Vick is much more athletic though.

His arm strength was very underrated...wat look like a 20 yrd toss from his release be goin 60 yrds on a perfect spiral
Most definitely a cannon. That was one of the knocks on him though. He threw too hard for his receivers
They finally made a career highlight reel longer than 5 minutes
Zac Emery
Felt like only 5min, thats good this vid is lol
Cause he’s a human highlight reel
It wasn't just his speed, there's plenty of 4.2 guys out there. To me it's his agility and his total awareness of what to do to take the other man out his shoes. There truly can be only one Michael Vick
@PCEI On The Move Inc. bro what
I don’t care about stats or off the field issues, this man deserves to be in the hall of fame for just simply being a once in a lifetime player. There never was one like him before and hasn’t been one since.
say whatcha want vick changed football for QB's
Yup; he cannot be imitated. His movement was nothing like I've ever seen.
so explain to me how you have hybrid qb's?
Any rookie/amateur can do a QB 'Sneak'. Even old Tom Brady still does QB sneaks. What Vick did was a QB Draw. He was not the first, and is not the last to do it successfully. You have Randall Cunningham, Kordell Stewart, Cam Newton, and MANY others. They are not Michael Vick and he is NOT them. Vick truly did run like a running back, not a QB scrambling for yards.
Tbh for scramble, deep throwing qbs i would say both vick and steve young i mean hell they were both left handers too

Selecting the falcons in madden 04 is like picking the warriors in 2k18-19
It was pretty easy to beat the Falcons in Madden 2004. Just pick a team with a good running back and control time of possession. On defense, have a linebacker hot route to QB spy and pray Vick doesn't score a TD.

this is partially true, some of the highlights when he accelerates from the 25ish area to the endzone are unreal, that straight speed is unbelievable
One of the biggest “what if’s “ in NFL history
“What if Vick never went to prison ?”
kobeshow24allday then he would be dog fighting still and would be in a far worse place as he said in the video.
kobeshow24allday He would have still been a shitty passing QB who was only good at running.
The bigger question would be: " What if Vick actually gave a damn during his Atlanta time?"
His work ethic during his time in Atlanta was shit. He has said several times in interviews that the coaches would make DVD's and playbooks for him to study, and he just threw them in the trunk of his car to never look at them again.
Fantastic video. You captured the essence of Michael Vick in both good and bad times. Fantastic video.
Michael Vick was ahead of his time...
Soon Park yea dog fightin... who woulda thought of that

Ummm, Randall Cunningham would like to have a word with you.
Why people always say that? Yeah like in the future all QB's are going to run rampant NFL defenses. Vick was one of a kind but not ahead of his time, same as Bo Jackson, Jordan, Deion, etc..
Soon Park I think he arrived in during the correct era. He had issues staying healthy, and quickly learned you can't win a Superbowl with mobility!

Amazing
He only "overcame" it because he got caught. As for becoming a better person, sociopaths are very good at faking remorse.
@@Steppenwolf27 Yeah, yeah, now quit speaking nonsense and leave him be. 🙄
