If I'm at a place where people of both genders are present and are only dressed in their underwear...as a born again Christian, I will not feel appropriate only wearing my underwear just because they are. When Jesus really comes in an changes your heart, you see things for what they are. As a man that works out regularly, I no longer even feel comfortable being shirtless anywhere in public anymore haha...which is a far cry from how I used to be. Plus I really just find the idea of preserving my best parts for my (future) wife very beautiful. God bless!

To me if you feel guilty about it then don’t do it. If you are convicted about it then it’s clearly wrong.

The statements made in the podcast were reckless and irresponsible, please please please do not mislead people, in our faith we have to be all in for christ, wearing a bikini is not christ like, the end. If you are going somewhere hot, where airy clothing, the Lord will not allow you to burn😭 I promise you if you surrender truly to God, and that includes your clothing and bodies, he will not allow anything bad to happen. You do not have to wear a bikini, just because everyone on the beach is wearing a bikini that does not mean that as a woman of God you should also, we were called to be set apart, so why would you blend in and where a bikini also? the reason everyone on the beach is wearing a bikini is because they do not have that revelation of Jesus Christ, and they are not treating their bodies as a temple of the living God. There is nothing okay about being half naked in a foreign country, or in your country or on holiday with your leaders or at tesco back at home - it does not matter where you are this is exposure and the enemy thrives off that lustful exposure. Not posting yourself in a bikini protects the people on your page from lust caused by you which is great but what about the men on the beach? you are not protecting them and you are causing them to stumble caused by you. Please try your best to be careful with topics like this, the bible is our guide for life so don’t add your own personal thoughts, speak the word or use the word to answer scenarios, but yeah the cover up is a great idea. i love you all with the love of Christ, please soften your hearts and hear this. I love how you started it! But this is so true I feel like nowadays people purposely avoid modesty -it’s crazy- you shouldn’t wear a bikini wherever you are it’s literally underwear- so find a modest swimsuit-it’s not hard

To add on to that, Arabs wear long clothing in the desert, are able to keep cool in extreme heat and the women there can still keep a modest appearance. Of all people, they can be modest. Why can't we as Christians be modest?

Wearing a bikini does not matter where you are or who you are with. As a Christian woman you need to be sacred as Christ wants you to be sacred and consecrated for him. Proper Christian women are rare to find today, close to impossible and this is because we cannot tell the difference between them and the worldly women. Proverbs 31:10-31.
Interesting conversation on the bikini dilemma! Loved all the perspectives throughout the conversation. I would just add that if you are worried about wearing a bikini for modesty, the truth is that a bikini is not a modest swimwear attire, it evidently wasn’t made for modesty nor is it a necessity to enjoy the beach and swim. Arguably wearing a coverup to coverup that you’re wearing a bikini probably means you should just wear a full body swimsuit if your concern is a conviction towards modesty. However, the option to wear it or not is down to preference and your personal conviction. 🙏🏾❤️

Hey first of I want to start with love❤, great podcast! But as a fellow Christian I just want to kindly correct you. Wearing a bikini alone is wrong tbh. It does not matter where you are or who you are with. It’s like picking and choosing. And when the lady said when she was with her leaders she wore a swimsuit, that’s the exact moment you had to realise that somewhere you got conviction because you’re exposing your body. Because why would you adapt for your leaders but not for God, are your leaders above God? And saying that beging at the beach everyone wears a bikini and that’s just what people do. That is true but are we called to be like the rest. Are we meant to look like the world? And I’m not condemning you because this was me 2 weeks ago. But as I wore the swimsuit (cut out model) I got conviction. There’s other alternatives like indeed cover ups, tankinis, burkinis or modest swimsuits etc. Stay blessed.

@@MsDarling-H if something is of God you will know with no doubt, otherwise stay away from it. Basing things off your own feelings or other people’s opinions is probably not a good start. You don’t even know what spirit inspired these type of cloth to be made or certain practices/ traditions to come about. If it’s not the Holy Spirit, it’s the enemy.

I think the simple solution is going to a women only beach if a woman of God wants to soak up the rays and have a restrictive free swim. A private beach if wanting to enjoy the same luxury with loved ones. But a public beach with what the panel agreed as basically underwear is nonsensical. It’s as simple as looking up the origin of the bikini to understand this answer to this question, the meaning, the outrage, the statement it made during the period of time it was introduced. Personally I don’t think it’s even up for debate, similarly I have no issue or problem with women wearing a bikini this is just my take on the intention/conviction of a woman truly after Gods heart.

I was raised in Europe and have worn bikinis all my life without thinking anything about it, however, as
I grew I realised that ladies would purposely make their bikinis even smaller and more revealing.. I also went to Ghana months ago and realised that you can wear leggings or shorts and a top whatever clothes covers you up best..which actually makes you feel less sexualized..
People can also growl up practising things that are not of God without knowing. I think if you have to question if you should be doing something as a Christian, that’s a red flag. Some of these material things and practices were inspired by spirits that are not the Holy Spirit. We love our sin, that why we choose to ignore certain stuff as humans.
It's crazy its normal to wear a bikini in the beach but if your girl went out like that on the street it would be way to revealing

This was a good watch. I won't lie, though. i do feel that there should have been a balance in certain little things like the cooking and the cleaning. Humans in general are visual, some more than others for sure. But these things apply to human beings. As we prepare to be "wives", we are really improving ourselves. So also should men prepare. If she's hungry, he'll also need to know how to feed his wife.

My question is who put that rule that you need to wear underwear to the beach cause is somehow, someone invented that and now is normalize. They even gave it another name called “Bikini” bro is underwear, wearing your panties outside
PAUSE. Great message but I think there were some MAJOR points that should've been pointed out! What is modesty? One. Because if I am being honest modesty is thru God however, 1 Peter 3:3-4 always sat with me when it came to the modesty conversation “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” I always felt in my conviction that makeup was NOT modest especially elaborate adornments (lashes, flashy, and expensive clothes). Secondly, comfortablity my testimony is much different I always wore clothes out of what feels good vs what "looks" good so I was not aware of this "lust" or "appeal" factor so to say women wear tight clothes to attract a mans the 🗑️🙅🏾♀️ that's not the case for all women especially women not tied to the world now as Christians we have to be spirtually bound but physically aware so that walk is different in every man/woman! Thirdly MEN's MODESTY the standard applies to them as well what does male modesty look like the girl in the blue really touched on it starting from WITHIN. Fourthly men know what they know Christian or Agnostics know when they see a 💎💍 a man could see a woman in rags and see riches a woman can see a man in riches and see rags your spirt always✨shines✨

With all you said. You’re about the tight clothes. It’s immodest and at the bare minimum it’s selfish because you’re revealing your form for others to see and they could stumble and if you say that is their problem, you’re right but you’re also sinning because you are not loving your neighbour and you don’t care about another person just yourself and you’re own glory
@@ovandograham7793 i actually appreciate that perspective...the full verse is “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. “This is the first and great commandment. “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Because although it is valid its still not accurate because most people who are wearing tight clothes probably don't love themselves or learning WHAT that love looks like for themselves. And there are many scriptures that talk about man having "self control" & "not to lust" & "it is better for man to remove the part of them that is causing them to sin than to continue to sin" how can an attire cause someone to sin when there is MORE scripture that places the responsibility on the SINNER than on modesty!!! Modesty is mentioned probably twice accountability & self control is mentioned countless times we have to measure our salvation by the heart, faith, and love of a man not on meaningless things like "modesty"

They spoke about sexual immortality tirelessly, revealing your form to everybody is sexually immoral but how do you have sex? By revealing your form to entice for partner. A bikini shows your entire butt. At the bare minimum all the way up to your hips . Self control is mentioned more than modesty you’re right. Let me explain, the lust you provoked through your immodest clothing is 100% the man’s responsibility to prevent, he has to take his thoughts captive and deal with his lust. However you as a sister should 100% be mindful of your self at all times, before putting on that piece of clothing you should think could this cause someone to stumble today? You’re probably thinking why tho because you’re called to deny yourself everyday and pick up your cross, what Jesus wants is a selfless, servant who cares about neighbours. As the topic is bikini the answer is 100% yes, if you do it anyways you are moving selfishly. Now with your as you love thy myself, please don’t use this as a loophole, the obvious perspective from the biblical writers is that humans look after themselves and will do what’s best for them, it doesn’t matter if you actually loath urself, because the point they are trying to make with this verse is you need to elevate everybody’s needs above your own. So again if you know it’s going to cause someone to fall you should absolutely not wear it. Yes it’s their responsibility to not lust but it’s yours to love your neighbour. You must decrease and Christ must increase. The men obviously need to work on their hearts too. I hope this makes sense.

What i know also is that following the Lord is not easy at all coz we gonna have to make sacrifices and if the sacrifices we are making are not going against our feelings ( body desire ) then we are not really ready to follow the Lord . This is not right at all, coming on a podcast and saying it's normal for a follower of our Lord to wear a bikini on the beach .

the main point of modesty is respecting and honoring the body which was gifted to you by Christ,recognizing it as a temple of the holy spirit followed by protecting yourself and helping others not sin by lusting over you.

Her motive for wanting a husband is not right at all!! God can help her with everything she needs help with, not the husband. God wants her to ask him directly, not go find someone else to show her them things. Literally, “seek FIRST the kingdom of God and all these things will be added onto you.”

Because of the western culture, a bikini is the norm for us. I personally wouldn’t say it’s “bad”, but God will convict you! If you’re feeling some type of way about wearing it, then you shouldn’t. I’ve never been a bikini girl because even though everyone around me wore it, I still saw it as bra and knickers 😂 ..I’ll either do a full swimsuit with shorts or a tankini which are both as equally cute and “breathable” 😂😂
