Listening to Four of Arrows right now. Yeah, discovered this band a couple years ago. I'm now regretting that was too late. I think they would have been amazing to see live. Al Menne puts everything into the vocals, and everyone else is awesome too. Years later I'm appreciating this album and band even more. I'm definitely not tiring of it. I've been appreciating music a very long time, and I put them waaaay up there :) Check out Al Menne's vids with Christian Lee Hutson......you're welcome
They all seem like warm hearted, good people and you can hear that through their sound. It has so much soul and purpose. It's so satisfying to listen to. I hope they're all doing well and create more music together in the future

Great Grandpa's songs come even more alive, live. You hear the essence of what the band and the songs are about when you actually hear this. I've never seen them live, but I wish to one day.
Fantastic, the ways the voices mix, the fact there are real emotions passing with rich harmonics. Great great music, thank you so much. And thanks KEXP !
they took a bit of a break but i think they might be doing something soon? but al menne (lead singer) recently put out his own album and it's fantastic!! would super recommend
oh shit!! Half of this band is also in Apples with Moya! Also a great band, esp. live, played at the place I do sound at. love the pnw, every band from there rocks
Hey Pat here :) Apologies in advance, this in going to be a nerdy post. Hopefully the trolls who already think we're lame eat this up. But I always enjoy talking about this stuff, so here goes... First, love all the discussion in this thread over these two chords, its a great example of how rare it is in western music to hear anything in a phrygian dominant ish mode. Seems like for many folks the main point of reference is pyramid song or the Kendrick song that samples that song, but if you're looking for more of this sound check out flamenco music, Hijaz, lots of classical Indian music, and more. Funny enough, when I was writing this I actually wanted this part to be a nod to "Everything in its Right Place", another Radiohead song (and possibly my favorite of theirs, I'm a big KID A fan) that uses this same progression. So Michael, and the others who mentioned it are, in a way, right on the money. The thing that really ties both "EIIRP" and "Pyramid Song" is this cool high pad node held through the I,II, and III chords, which kind of breaks from most phrygian dominant stuff and gives it its unique sound. Anyways, so in conclusion, yes I was hoping those familiar with EIIRP would notice the little nod for the first three chords in Endling. Dave, sorry not to throw you under the bus, appreciate you standing up for us in the hell that is the youtube comment section, and also you're 100% right that I love the cranberries and pavement as well :) xoxo to all
Great Grandpa well said :) and yeah Pablo honey and the bends and ok computer and kid a were amazing albums.. I kind of fell off them after those. I think I only felt triggered because this was the second comment section today that someone went immediately into referencing the Radiohead and also I should say I missed the intro bit at first so the reference was lost until I went back and re watched and then I felt stoopid because those chords immediately stand out. But yeah, I love eastern music as well and the sense of repetition in music is extremely comforting to say in simple terms. I guess it’s jus the industry why it’s seen more of imitation and not of admiration. maybe it’s jus a lot more competitive on this side of things. As Louis Armstrong said ‘all music is folk music because I ain’t never seen a horse sing a song’ lol, Love what y’all are doing, On a side note, I think I’ve watched this performance like fifty times today ha. Can’t wait to pick up the new album, and hopefully see y’all in Portland soon. I had to erase my previous comments from earlier because of course we all love Radiohead xo
@@greatgrandpa7520 thanks for the amazing reply! Love the connection to the other musical styles. I get pretty excited when I notice a musical reference, like in Karma Police, especially the G to G flat in the chorus that sounds like a nod to Sexy Sadie.

Holy SHIT what a lucky find, this band is fucking amazing.
spread the word
four of arrows is one of the best albums EVER
That's how I felt too when I first heard them. I felt the same way about Mother Mother, which I discovered about the same time.
KEXP never fails to do justice to the sound of amazing bands.
Agreed. No shade to Audiotree, but I can actually hear the vocals.

thanks kexp, you guys always have the best live setups for all my favourite music. means a lot
This album is so thoughtful and sincere. Departure from their old stuff but mature and really touching.

Beautiful, it made my day
Dark Green Water is a tru banger
I’ve had the first 2 mins of this set stuck in my head all day. I love their early stuff but am impressed with how’ve their music has matured. 👌🏼
keep the flow of music alive outside of our hearts
Was hoping for Treat Jar but this is still soooo good
nice reverse fender guitar. apparently a super sonic. super strange. super cool.
I had no idea Alex could play bass :-)
screaming, crying, screaming, crying, screaming, crying, screaming, crying
fucking phenomenal musicians!!
oh......so good. Glad I found this!
thanks
Vocals are so great. The lead female singer's voice has some quality that is heartbreaking and great. I am reminded of Dolores O'Riordan.
Lol exactly - I just wrote this down there somewhere. Altho i feel like she's not a patch on Dolores
When the setlist is golden.

piano
That break in Digger... goosebumps every time.
such a powerful voice goddamn
What Guitar is that? Fender with the upside headstock
Lol nevermind Fender Super Sonic
That Digger intro has straight up Radiohead vibes
Everything In Its Right Place + Pyramid Song
Is it just me or does the opening piano sound like How Much a Dollar Cost?
yeaah it also reminds me of Pyramid song by Radiohead
Pyramid song
It’s jus the same two chords for literally three seconds jeezus it’s not the whole song
Love this! Does he open with a Pyramid Song nod with those first two chords? Maybe I listen to too much Radiohead.
