I’d love to see one in a sealed enclosure reviewed. I want one under a center console in a CRV but I can’t get the size needed for a ported enclosure. If you have a graph of a curve for the sealed that would be helpful too.

HIFI- have you tried any CDT audio speakers? Try to get CDT as a sponsor , and peace and love , CDT ES line is is very good against any 300-500 comp set.
Savard is definitely my next choice. I got a cheap 10'' JL a while back and have been quite disappointed by its performance :( even runs really hot, considering i'm not throwing a ton of power at it, that really surprises me.
Check em out Will and Lucas will treat you right! I’m surprised that you had bad luck with JL almost everything I’ve ever gotten from them has been tops in its price class (outside of the 1/0 wire that is...)

I was excited to start my build on this box. Then I started going over your measurements! Man, there not adding up! What was the thickness? What is the front baffle? What is the diameter of the hole?
J Cook it’s alder wood which is closer to pine than a hardwood, but it actually sounds really nice in this small of an enclosure... I definitely recommend birch plywood or Baltic birch for most people. This was a see what I can do kinda build (wood wise)
Have you tried the savard rap65 component speakers yet? I can't find many reviews on then and i'm thinking of doing a all savard speaker upgrade in my vehicle with 2 hi Q 6.5s in a t line box. Love your videos keep up the good work.
I been thinking about getting a few of the entry level sundown, 12" or 15" subs, and givem about 500w each, in a chevy van, with a bout 4, 6.5" coaxels, with about 150w each, I'd hope to approach 150db, and sound good, I had 2, 15"kicker comps in the 90's, doing 142.9 on a $150 amp, on country music, surely 8x 12" will do about 150db!

MSH68 In this enclosure it will play down to right around 31hz, but the subwoofer itself I think could play even lower in a lower tuned or quarter wave enclosure.
The plan I got from savard doesn’t specify if the drivers should be separated in the enclosure. Should there be a wall in between the subs. Or should both subs be in the enclosure with no wall as long as the port is correct?
I bought the dual 4 ohm sub and copied your design. I'm running it with a Alpine Mrv 500 watt amp at 2ohms. I'm not sure if I pushing it too hard or not enough power. I hear a click type sound when hitting hard. Not sure if it's underpowered or not.
Honestly it might be a little too much power. Those Alpines do overrated power usually and 500 watts is pretty much where these subs like to be at full volume anyways.
How would you compare the savard 6.5 to the ct sounds meso 6.5. I bulit a sealed box for it and wasn't to impressed. I did give the meso 6.5 some burp tests on my Rockford fosgate t1500bdcp and must i say that 6.5 is a beast

3/4”, the baffle should be 8 x 18 3/4 (my bad I’ll correct that) and the cut out is 5 7/8
What doe the 1 1/2 inch from non port side means?

Well the new mics rear about 6-8db lower than the old mics we used to use, but you can’t really go wrong with Sundown subs they’re excellent

I’ve always used mdf but picked up a used sub in a box I believe is pine. It’s not pretty but sounds good and feels very solid.
